Cool! I was in germany one time and I bought an earlier edition of this magazine with Ayu in it aswell (it had an ayu-mi-x 4 poster, too!).. Although I hate magazines like these (it simply attracts a certain type of people that I really don't like), it's cool they've got Ayu... In what kind of german stores could I buy this? 'Coz Germany's real closeby =)

Lanz16 23rd June 2008 08:22 PM

The Germans was so lucky that they feature Ayu on the music magazine cover!

Yoake 23rd June 2008 08:55 PM

OO Why doesn't Belgium have any magazine like that?? T_T

esprit85 23rd June 2008 08:56 PM

Lol you're going to Germany just for the magazine? XD :no

ownsarai 23rd June 2008 09:38 PM

^he did say Germany is close by him...so what does it matter? Anyhow, this is cool that she is featured in a German music magazine. One day I hope to see Ayu on a US music magazine cover. ^^ That will make me happy~

njanjayrp 23rd June 2008 09:44 PM

I wonder what did they say about MW ^^

How hard is it to cross a border.

Anyway, pretty cool. Too bad the scans aren't too HQ, it's hard to read. But the sub headline says "The most beautiful pop queen in the world"

Empry 23rd June 2008 09:51 PM

Peach is well known for bad research and they once again prove it in this article:

- You and Depend on you were released in 1989 >_<
- After the Panasonic CM shoot in Venice she went to Paris for the filming of the MW PV

They also talk about the CDL 07-08 DVD and say that she performed "Sotsuguyo Shashin", "Together When" and "Untitled - for her" from her album "Guilty" in front of 10.000 fans for the first time.

ownsarai 23rd June 2008 09:53 PM

^lol I wish I could read German. 1989~!???

:roflmao

Well the Paris/Venice thing is kinda true, though they make it sound like she went straight to Paris. They also talk about CDL and show a picture of evolution at AT07 ...

tehxiinae 23rd June 2008 10:04 PM

what?!?!?! D: i just got back from Germany a couple days ago and never saw this D: aaaaaahhh!!!

kirei_ayumi 23rd June 2008 10:12 PM

Empry 23rd June 2008 10:18 PM

FeNgZhEnG 23rd June 2008 10:18 PM

Peach is a very little known mag in Germany for fans of Japanese music. It is unfortunately full of errors and the target audience of the mag, young teens, tend to believe everything in it rather than actually looking up a few things with Google. So it's not that cool, imo.

I don't know the magazine in general, but the facts in this article are all correct, except for the typo (YOU and Doy were not released in 1989). Maybe they're improving :)
EDIT: Oh, just seen the thing with the Panasonic shot, but that is imo a minor mistake as she went to both Venice and Paris just a month before the Mirrorcle World shooting. I think even a lot of die-hard fans could mix that up.

Maybe I'll get it, if I can find it in a store here.

Anyways thanks for the pictures. :D

Well, maybe. But like I mentioned before, they make it sound like Ayu flew directly to Paris for the MW PV shooting after she was done in Venice and they also posted a pic from the AT 07 while talking about CDL 07-08 DVD. Besides that, they also make it sound like Sotsuguyo Shashin is on Guilty.

That's so awesome that you guys have a mag like that! Luckily for me, they have a Nijiya grocer in the nearest Japantown and they carry Japanese mags, so I own a few of these too. I mostly buy SCawaii.

Yeah you're right, but I guess all of these teen mags don't really put emphasis on straight facts (I can just think of "Bravo" who make mistakes with the simpliest things like birth dates, at least they did so in pre-internet times, when I read it the last time lol).
btw it's only a matter of language with the Sotsugyo Shashin thing. You know, it's just poorly worded.

Anyways for all who want to know what it's saying, here's a translation of the main article. Don't expect too much though, it doesn't tell you anything new :)

Translation:
Spoiler:
Japanese pop-star Ayumi Hamasaki once again caused attention. Her new single "Mirrorcle World", released in April, has again reached the top spot of the Oricon Charts on its first selling day. With that Ayumi, being in the 10th year of her musical career, set a new record that probably makes many other artists jealous. She achieved to land at least one number one hit in each year of her career.
Because of her anniversary the current single, her 44th, was released in two versions not only with different cover artwork, but also with different b-sides. While one version includes "You", the other one pleases with "Depend on you" and additionally both versions contain the song "Life". "You" and "Depend on you" are songs that have already been released in 1998, but are featured here with new versions. The title-track "Mirrorcle World" on the other hand is an extended version of the song "Mirror" that was used as the intro of her 9th studio album "Guilty", released in January this year.
But Ayumi wouldn't be the Queen of J-Pop, if she didn't come up with something special to promote the single. In line with a shooting of a Panasonic-commercial in Venice, she made a little trip to Paris in order to shoot an impressive video for the song "Mirrorcle World". The clip shows the sexy pop-queen in constantly changing outfits and also offers beautiful pictures of the city of love. For the shooting complete streets of the French capital had to be closed down temporarily to give the impression that the city was entirely abandoned and Ayumi was walking through the streets all alone - the video proves this to be a well-done illusion. Apart from the singer you can just see a few men in agent outfits chasing Ayumi.
And so Ayumi Hamasaki not only made her fans but also herself a wonderful present for her 10th anniversary. One is allowed to be excited about what is to be expected of the Japanese Queen of Pop in the future...

hayasaki 23rd June 2008 11:52 PM

I hope there are More scans... i am intrigued by what's inside though..LOL, thanks for that info... well, i'm happy that she's featured in a German Magazine... i still remember when she was also featured in a Magazine in the Philppines... i think it's when "THOUSAND ARMS" was released, and it's only 1/4 of a page, she was featured

tokyoxjapanxfan 24th June 2008 12:19 AM

ooh how cool, thanks for the info :D

Thanks for the scans!

Mari-chan 24th June 2008 12:51 AM

Oh .. I really hate that magazin. (-.-) Sorry.
And.. they are often writing really nonsens.

As someone also said befor... You and Depent on you is not relased in 1989... and it was not the first time on CDL 07/08 when she performed Together and Shotsugyou shashin. It only is right for "Untitled for her".
And..it really sounds, if Shotsugyou shashin also is on GUILTY.

I live in Germany.. and I never bought this magazin.. and I will never buy it.

KarenPang 24th June 2008 02:46 AM

Exactly.

polka-dot-jewel 24th June 2008 04:37 AM

lol The whole 1989 is just a typo; true, it's a magazine and should be more professional, but oh well, everyone makes mistakes and this just happens to be a minor one.

Yay for Ayu being in international magazines!! =D (Well, ones outside of Asia, haha.) I'd LOVE to see her have a spread in a US magazine, that would be AMAZING! (Of course, a cover would be just as great. ^^)

Thanks for the scans!!

smileka 24th June 2008 04:44 AM

wowww, so lucky for those who can get lot of magazine ... with Ayu's inside :))

ayuzlove 24th June 2008 05:08 AM

Benelux?! Argh, I went to the Readshop (bookstore) today but I searched and I couldn't find it.
€4,60 is pretty expensive though. I wish I had it.

Yeah, we don't have cool things like that in our country. They are too busy writing about our politics (Brussel-Halle-Vilvoorde) :dead2, our politicians:dead2 and our prime minister (Yves Leterme) :dead2. And when they don't write about that, they spread rumors (Tom Boonen is a junky, K3 stops singing, ...) :irked. I even send some e-mails to magazines when Ayu, the Japanese popstar, was in Paris, but they ignored it. Asia never appears in magazines or journals, except when something really bad happens (typhoon, sunami, earth-quake):irked.

Same here in the Netherlands.

Though Rody! said you could also buy this magazine in the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.)

No.. she isn't. She is only known for people, who are interessted in Japan.. oder maybee in Mangas.
But... most people, who don't has interesst in it.. don't know her.
This Magazine is made for younger people.. in my oppinion. Most of these younger People became interessted in Japan, because of reading Mangas and watching Anime.
They wanted to get to know more about Japan.. and so.. they also got to know Ayu.

And... the most of the other.. don't know her. Sure.. some do know her.
But.. if I telling someone, I listen to Ayu's Music.. nowbody knows her.
