School uniform in CDL 07-08

So I'm watching CDL 07-08 and I noticed an ironic aspect during the STEP you/Ladies Night performance. Ayu's background dancers have on of course school uniforms, while ayu has on a sexy bit-of-her-own uniform. These performances reminded me of the time I had read somewhere that ayu was considered a delinquent in school because she didn't follow the dress code and wore short shirts.

did anyone else notice this?! :headache

AyUta 10th July 2008 02:58 AM

That is true isn't it? Wow, good eye :laugh

freedreamer 10th July 2008 03:01 AM

LOL yea...but she looked gd in it..and im sure it was one of the reasons why the cover had that...im so most girls would find her very kawaii in it..and she was!

kirei_ayumi 10th July 2008 03:09 AM

^yep. a kind of way to stand out from the rest, just like she wanted to stand out from her peers in school

AyUta 10th July 2008 03:26 AM

^ Exactly :yes She looked adorable :yatta

indeed :yes

at least the outfit's cool , not everyone can pull it off I believe

Bad Wolf 10th July 2008 07:15 AM

I thought she was considered a delinquent because she didn't care about her studies/was bored by them? :shrug And, well, I imagine how she dressed had something to do with it, too, but I didn't hear about the short skirt thing XD

AyUta 10th July 2008 08:46 AM

Ayu said she likes to break rules :bchuck
That's exactly how she was in school :laugh

prussian blue 10th July 2008 11:54 AM

not skirt, SHIRT. XD

maybe she was a delinquent because of both reasons. violating the dress code and not caring about her studies. :yes

i like ur observation!! but again, the singer gotta be different from the dancers right? thats how they stand out.

kirei_ayumi 10th July 2008 05:12 PM

^oh yes, I understand. It kinda dawned on me and I made a correlation :)

aqua_crystal 10th July 2008 05:13 PM

^^Yeah.. I agree. I didn't think it would have anything to do with Ayu's personal experience.

TakaSama 10th July 2008 05:17 PM

Aw, I have students who like to break dress code and don't study. Maybe someday they will be like Ayumi! :innocent

More likely, they'll clean up their act when they are seniors so that they can go to college...

But anyway, good catch! I just assumed that hers looked different because she wanted to stand out from her dancers.

lmao whoops! :shutup Sorry about that, lolol.

and indeed, that's distinctly possible - though i've noticed with any girl forced to wear a slightly unflattering uniform, they're going to try and make it their own personal style no matter what. D: which isn't really a bad thing, imho, just... something that happens lol. so i can't really blame ayu for being frustrated with her uniform.

wenren93 20th July 2008 04:07 PM

that's true , AYU IS KAWAII !:D
but did u realise,
in singapore, the ministry of education set all rules that girls must wear school skirt that's over the knee length, while in japan the girls can wear their skirt short like ?!@#!$% ????
is so wierd ..... ;/

asmAyumi1992 16th December 2008 09:21 AM

Looks good to me~
Ayu doesn't like school I think so.
Yeah!
BREAK THE RULES!

Merry Christmas. You successfully bumped up a thread that was created in July :rolleyes

lfe. 16th December 2008 05:19 PM

She was also considered a delinquent for having blonde hair. These were the days when dying your hair was a no-no in Japan/Asia.

Is that true? I thought if your skirt was over the knee length, you're considered a dork. At least that's the case in junior college. I only remember one girl having a skirt over the knees.

Sorry wet blanket moment. It's cute and i enjoyed the performance but i wished the costume was more glam realistic, like maybe a winter sailor uniform high school students in japan wear. Sometimes, more is just more.
