where do you keep the OBI strip's of your purchases ?
 

for me I keep the big OBI like strip of my Koda & ARASHI's DVDs separately from the main item

If I have keep the wrappers, I'll put them together with the CD like when I buy them. If I don't have the wrappers, I'll keep it inside the case. <3

I put the one from hikki's Heart Station behind the CD though, behind the plastic thing in which the CD is.. just as an experiment. Doesn't look that good though lol.

I put mine in the cases with the booklets =D Except with Kuu's Kingdom, which I just slipped it into the slip cover on the album itself.

I slip mine into a small drawer. All of 'em are tangled up some where in there. When I move I'll probably slip them into the case.

i keep mine inside the CD cases. but, there's some OBIs that are too long to keep inside a CD case, so i keep those in a little plastic folder.

I take apart the case and put the obi behind the cd or the dvd section.

my ayu ones however...exactly how it comes. I usually open them once, burn the cd and then put everything back in its plastic so it's nice and pretty :)

Around the spine where it belongs. =) It makes my shelf all neat and tidy. XD

If there's a slipcover I just stick it in the case I guess. *shrugs*

I trim mine so that i can Put it inside of the Back of the Cd case.For example ayu's single+dvd i would force the back case open and then trim the OBI strip and then slip it in!

Well, I already posted here, but I thought I'd note that I rarely open my CDs because I already have the songs on the PC, so yeah, they just sit in the sealed packaging.

I used to keep the plastic wrapping as well but then I stopped doing that; now I just keep the OBI instead the CD case.

I never thought to keep them, I either toss them out or use them as bookmarks.

I have difficulty understanding the point of obis. It's like manufacturers just stuck some extra paper in there to make people think they were getting something collectible.

I personally think it makes the cd look so much better too.

I put an elastic band around the OBI's, and around the CD's it came with, so to hold it where it originally belongs, lol.

I'm not going to use glue or tape, lol. elastic bands will do nicely. :D

In the booklet, on the last page, along with whatever else (information sheets, promotional materials, upcoming release ads, etc.) came with the CD.

wow, old thread, but since the only OBIs that i have are from my arashi and KAT-TUN CDs, i just keep them on one of my shelves of my computer table. so their right next to my CDs, lol. i'm surprised i haven't lost them yet :laugh

Since my CD's are all stuck together in my drawer the OBI's are on the Cd's still, since it's easier for me to find the CD.

Some are still with the CD's while others I've stored into an old box of mine.

all my cds have the plastic cover, so the obi remains as it is. but i will be extra careful when I take out the cd

I keep them on the spine of the jewel case... isn't that where they're supposed to be? O_o Yes, the side of the jewel case, where they get run over, stepped on, and almost vacuumed. I would keep them inside the case, but then I can't enjoy their beauty. lol

AAAAHHH!!!!! why do you throw them away?! I wanna go through your trash can now! Anytime you take out the trash, just send it to my house instead!

And, I'm not entirely sure whats so special about them, but I do know that they increase the resale value for a lot of people (evidently, not you). Or at least, it makes people want the CD with the obi, as opposed to one without. Which is important if you plan to ever sell your CDs. Its probably one of those things where it comes with the CD, so its considered a part of the CD, and to a lot of people, necessary. (or is that just me?)

[edit] Also, there's only one obi made per CD, but they're far more tempermental than the CDs and jewel cases (as you demonstrate every time you throw one out), which makes their rarity higher, relative to the CDs themselves.

Like JackieRos, I throw the OBI's away... Before AHS, I couldn't even imagine people were so "obsessed" about those strips, not do I get why people keep them

throwing the obis away if like buying a collectors barbie doll and taking her out of the box, throwing that box away and then swirling her around in a toilet

I disagree, I believe the important thing is the music itself and of course the CD with the artwork... but anyone is free to collect whatever they want. Next time I'll give the OBI to someone instead of throwing it

But, yeah, If your not reselling them, and they never will be resold (like, if you leave them for your children or close freinds or whatever in your will, and they sell them after you're dead), then its just a personal thing. But, still, the though of throwing out such a precious piece of paper... (O_o, that sounded better in my head). Now I know, when I feel sick to my stomach or off my day, you've just thrown out another obi. Like I do now. Did you recently throw out another obi, like this morning or late yesterday?

Um... to be honest, I don't really care about the OBI's but I do keep them all in an old DVD case just because I'm sort of a pack rat.

I put mine in the cases and if they dont fit (too long or too big), I wrap them aroun the case and just stick the CDs into the shelf.

In Koda Kumi secret ~special edition for live~ box (where T-Shirt was). However I've got Sowelu's LIVE DVD and it's OBI doesn't fit there... >_<

To each his or her own, if an individual wants to throw away the obi's then so be it. What might be precious to you might not be for the next person. It's honestly not a big deal.

In my bedside table drawer. I through some of mine out/ can't find them at the beginning because I didn't really know what they were 0_0. Now I always keep them!!

I most of my obi's are actually with their respective CD in my bookshelf. The rest I've managed to store in a box.

ahh...throw them out? They're big and ugly and I don't really see their importance lol.

I really love OBI's, speacially on some singles that doesn't have the back side.
