Do You Like Shiina Ringo?
 

As many of you had said in the past, she's a bit of an acquired taste and her voice IS a bit nasally. I personally think she's great, but what do you think of one of the most influential J-Rock artists? :)

I downloaded all her stuff. I like her, of course is not the one for me, but she is a truly artist. I love her style, way of think, she is very original!

She's freaking talented in every way. I liked her after I listened to OSCA but she became one of my fav artists after I watched Sakuran movie and downloaded the movie's music.

I'm not the biggest fan of her, but she's pretty okay xD I love Yokushitsu and Identity~

I voted, "She's great, but not the "best" out there." Her early stuff is fantastic, actually, I love it all the way up to (and including) Karuki Zamen Kuri no Hana.

Shiina Ringo is an amazing artist, even if I don't like what she's done since she joined Tokyo Jihen nearly as much as her earlier work.

She is one of the best artists ever. I really enjoy her music and her lyrics very much.

But I like her better solo (her music is better!) and not in a band.

One of the best, most original artists ever. I appreciate how much creativity she puts into her music. You can tell simply by her choice of instrumentation on most of her songs, especially on Karuki Zamen Kuri no Hana.

I love Tokyo Jihen as well.

I have a lot of respect for Shiina Ringo, because I know what a great musician she is, and how creative and incredibly complex her works can be.

I mean come on, how many artists can achieve symmetry of a tracklist lol

But, I can't get over her voice, and I'm just over her style of music right now...so I don't really like her music.

She is really unique though, and she IS one of the best artists to come out of Japan...but I think its hard to both say that, and not like her music, in this poll...

I ADORE Shiina Ringo, especially Tokyo Jihen. But at the same time I don't think she's the greatest thing since sliced bread. ;)

She makes some truly unique music. It does take a while to get used to her voice but once you do her music is pure bliss.

I was really hesitant to get into her because of her nasal voice. But I was obsessed with her album art so I gave her a shot. I'm only 4 albums in and she's already my favorite Japanese artist of all time hands down. (Her voice is actually really diverse) don't let anything you've heard scare you off. I guarantee she'll have material you'll love. She's beyond diverse.

She has some really good songs but I can't stand her cutesy voice

There are parts in her songs where she sings with her real voice (And it's really adult-like voice) but then she switchs to this annoying voice I can't stand

Yeah that was one of the reasons I was hesitant to get into her. But her "adult" voice is sublime. And her cutesy voice is growing on me it really works sometimes.

Pretty surprised I prefer the last performance considering she switches voices. But overall it's just amazing. She looks so good and it's more raw and powerful.

I always liked her! And I think she's one of the best. In my personal top she's really close to Utada and Ayu as they all were "douki". She's better than Koda Kumi for me.

She's probably one of the greatest Japanese artists ever, but I never find myself listening to her. At least not often.
