Mix CD
 

Since my mom is a new hardcore Ayu fan, I decided to make a couple of mix CDs for her of some of Ayu's songs. I came up with some tracks, a mixture of stuff she's heard and songs I'd think she'd like. But before I make a final decision on the last blank CDs I have, I'd like to know what you all would suggest! :D If you were to make a CD for a new Ayu fan, what songs would you include?

I tried to make it flow nicely, I'm no expert but I came up with:

Well, if that's what your mom likes, then go for it. My taste in music is completely different from that track list, so I shouldn't suggest anything. ^_^

oo nice tracklist~ looks like it really flows, so great you got a mom as an ayu fan!
so...no moments?..and if you ordered A COMPLETE, you can just give the 3 CD for your mom to listen to :P

i have like a whole bunch of other songs to recommend, but i think your tracklist looks great ^^, so i'll save the other songs whenever you have a sequel to this~!

Hmm... Maybe Because of you or evolution? Those two seem to go with your general track scheme.

Also: maybe M, it's so prolific after all

I can always make a third, fourth CD! Even though it would be logical to wait for A COMPLETE, it doesn't have the b-sides or anything which are also great! And it doesn't have a particular flow to it. PLUS if she gets her hands on it she may not give it back xD; lol We don't live together so I may not be able to get it back for a long time hahaha.

M would be great, so would the other songs you suggested :D They have amazing lyrical content, which is what my mom loves about Ayu... I tried to pick songs that have a lot of meaning.

well..the lyrics that i feel are so meaningful are Memorial address, Endless sorrow~ ^^

If we're going with lyrics, how can you not include this one?

let's see you got from pop, to dark ballads, to rock, to dance, to ballads, hmm...you need to maybe just create disc 3, as the classic disc, i suggest if you put M,evolution,dearest there..but really it's just my opinion, just say no to me ^^

You know what! Thanks for reminding me, I ment to put A song for XX (A Ballads ver.) right in between HANABI 2 and MA. LOL I totally forgot though I KNEW I was missing something!



What order would you put it in?

Yeah, I'd put Dearest and M somewhere in there.

I have a question, why the HAL's 2000 MIX's of vogue and ever free? Why not the original mixes (and Far away and SEASONS to make the trilogy complete and pretty <3)

I don't have the original ever free, but I think I have the original vogue on my external hard drive somewhere, if I could find that xD; Those are the versions I have of those two at the moment

^Oh, if you want them, I got them (ironically, vogue is one of the singles I own XD) I'd suggest at least SEASONS to add though :D

I'll probably put seasons on the 3rd CD, I haven't compiled it yet xD; lol

And thanks I would love the originals! I don't have any of her physical singles before Endless Sorrow and UNITE! Those were my first two Ayu singles xD; lol

Yeah they are lol I got a new computer and I haven't put all my music files on yet, I only have the ones from her albums that I bought and previous CDs that I made lol

It would be easier for you to make her listen Ayu's bests.

^ She's already heard most of both A BEST 2. She wants something she can keep and not have to give back to me xD; lol

why dont you put in some interlude? i really really really love everlasting dream, tasking, and not yet, some of them are in my top5 ayu's song

Well, if your mum is a new fan, I wouldn't include songs like Bold & Delicious, Fly High or Beautiful Fighters yet... My friends who are also new to the j-pop world, still dislike those, and also Evolution, Ourselves, Born to Be... or Independent. They like tracks such as Dearest, Seasons, Heaven, M, and Jewel, as well as 1 LOVE, (miss)understood, Greatful Days, Trauma and Kanariya. But that depends on your mum's taste

She loves B&D though, xD; So I had to, B&D and Startin' are her favorite songs LOL

Well, if she loves B&D she's already a hardcore fan :thud You can put any of her songs there haha

I have a question, I don't know if this has ever been disgusted before. It's not such a big deal that I want to make a thread about it so I'll ask here. Does anyone else think Tohoshinki's song Lovin' you sounds just like Ayumi's End roll?

If no one knows that song I'll upload it later... but when I first heard the song, I didn't know it was THSK and I thought it was a remix of Ayu's End roll! Then I heard boys xD;

At any rate, I added End roll. I think the compilation is pretty much complete! Any other last minute suggestions before I finalize it? :)

i also agree that you make your disc 3 as an ayu classic with the songs like M, evolution, Dearest, SURREAL and Endless sorrow.. And don't forget the ASFXX(A BEST MIX)
