changes/differences in the songs on A COMPLETE?

I don't know if it's just me, but I burned all the songs as MP3s and the guitar solo is missing from M.

Is this the case for everyone else too or...?

Are there other differences or changes that you hear?

ren0210989 10th September 2008 03:27 PM

what?? i LOVE the guitar solo in M TT_TT

my copy should come in a few days so i'll know then XD

tethevo 10th September 2008 03:31 PM

Melrose wanted me to post this:

Quote:

Hi,

Regarding your A COMPLETE topic. Could you please post my post there? I can't post atm. Thank youu!! ^^

"
M, the song is the same length as on A BEST. OMG. They took out the guitar solo and gave it a strange effect thing. O_o What the hell. The guitar solo is one of my most favorite parts of this song... It almost sounds like they just messed up on the arrangement and couldn't fix it in time. o.o

AUDIENCE. Eh, the intro is different and they changed the volume of the instruments. I dunno, don't really like it that much.

INSPIRE o_O The chorus sounds weird. Her voice is kinda..eh. It sounds so MUFFLED.

Mirrorcle World..bridge slightly different. Strings are louder.

Endless Sorrow..strings louder at the bridge. They did a good job on remastering this imo. Except that the bells are kinda gone in the last chorus.

NEVER EVER..voice clearer in the chorus. Nicely done.

Dearest..the harp in the intro is louder (or w/e the instrument is). Or at least clearer.

forgiveness..nice her voice is clearer in the chorus.

Overall I don't know if I'm 100% happy with all the changes, as overall the song instruments seem to sound a bit TOO polished. I dunno. I'll probably end up replacing all my current songs with these, except M obviously. =)"

Thank youu!

tethevo 10th September 2008 03:32 PM

In this case, then I'M PISSED about the guitar solo. WTF There's no reason why they would take it out.

yeah!!!
that solo ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and about things sounding polished; if that's true than i won't like it too much... but i won't hate it either XD

tethevo 10th September 2008 03:39 PM

Haven't listened to all the songs yet so don't know.

But I did like how some of the earlier songs seem to sound 'clearer.'

*-_Ayu-fan_-* 10th September 2008 04:08 PM

mmhh I listen nothing new sound only All songs are clearly and louder

mmhh

truehappiness 10th September 2008 04:10 PM

I wonder if the guy who remastered everything decided on just axing the guitar solo?

If that is the case, LAME.

tethevo 10th September 2008 04:11 PM

Someone at JPM claims that his CD is fine. So I may be wondering if this may be a technical difficulty.

Lee_410 10th September 2008 04:31 PM

Why would they take the most awesome guitar solo from Ayu?Was the arranger on substances?

ohhh gosh...what happen to M?! the impact is gone.

ayuhølic. 10th September 2008 06:40 PM

All the songs sound so nice!
I want to buy A COMPLETE, instead of downloading it.

Ayumi_lover 10th September 2008 06:52 PM

and also in AUDIENCE they added echo!!!! I LIKE IT listen near 0.45 - 0.50

thinkingoutloud89 10th September 2008 07:54 PM

hmmm ti M sounds nearly the same....I downlaoded the version whcih was uploaded on thuesday...is it the real one already...caus epoker afce sounds much better (not as edgy)?

I bet that's awesome. :D

Maybe it's a good thing that these songs are remastered! You know how some fans buy A COMPLETE just as a collector's item or just for the DVD(s)? Maybe avex knew about that and finally said, "Hey! Let's throw something else in!" :P

thinkingoutloud89 10th September 2008 11:24 PM

ahhh help me...I downloaded two versions...in one M is okay in the other one the guitar solo is missing...but the rest sounds the smae to me...so is the evrsion I downlaoded before a real one? tell me (I took both from the dl section)

GRACE 10th September 2008 11:28 PM

M was missing the guitar solo in my copy as well, It was just sort of like they yanked out o_o

Ani_C 10th September 2008 11:37 PM

D: Why M!?

thinkingoutloud89 10th September 2008 11:58 PM

yep I now compared the audience one and the second one I dl'ed had this echo mentioned

so M is real missing the guitar
makes it blend

edit: i thinking about naming the titels (10th anniversary remasterd version) or so to show that i like the new audience better or so...what do you think?

mikecavs11 11th September 2008 12:28 AM

Independant also changed a lot, there's clapping in the beginning and the arrangements are different

tourniquet 11th September 2008 12:46 AM

maybe they couldn't find the original master of the guitar solo anymore? it's been a while since I am...

Not a version I know o_O... On H, RAINBOW, A BEST 2 and A COMPLETE, independent has had the clapping.

extepan 11th September 2008 01:10 AM

i am looking forward to hearing all these changes

thinkingoutloud89 11th September 2008 01:44 AM

independent sounds the same too me
since the songs on A BEST 2 were already remasterd I don´t think these siongs are different in a complete

and maybe you don´t mean indepndet but +n (the hidden track after independent on RAINBOW)

no not " + "

oh wait.......i was gonna upload it, but i just found it its the dance nation remix lol

Delirium-Zer0 11th September 2008 02:27 AM

WTF with M o_O My mp3 of M has no guitar solo either. Holy crap, dude o_O

AUDIENCE to me just sounds like a louder "Dave Ford Mix", from the single.

Everything else to me sounds the same, just... well, remastered. Although I have yet to listen to the originals back to back with the remasterings.

kotora 11th September 2008 03:03 AM

COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~ re-mastered songs

Can you tell the different of songs that are re-mastered in this album?

There is some differences I can heard so far.

monochrome - BASS is stronger.
Boys & Girls - BASS is stronger.
Fly high - It has some delay, compared to the older version.

Please free to correct me and add comments ..

Thread exists already

kotora 11th September 2008 03:51 AM

Maybe... Maria doesn't guitar solo, thats why new M has no guitar solo.

I found that fly high starts a bit late too.

Old songs has clearer voice obviously.

Love Appears 11th September 2008 04:32 AM

It may just be my imagination, but BLUE BIRD sounds a bit different to me. Something about the beginning instrumentals seemed slightly different, and her voice seems to have more of an echo? Again, could just be my imagination though. :shrug

You should try sometime, Deli. I remember you pointing out subtle differences in the past that I would have never noticed otherwise, such as the differences in album/single version of TO BE. So if there are changes I am sure you would notice. :yes

ayujarl 11th September 2008 06:12 AM

'M' sounds so weird to me without the guitar solo part.
it's like a music game where they have the background music playing and I have to play the guitar. lol

Ayumi_lover 11th September 2008 06:20 AM

anyway it's interesting to listen and to have it

prussian blue 11th September 2008 07:01 AM

hmm.. i need to get my copy first, dose someone already had uploaded the files? cause i'm gonna try to listen to them

DA1SUK1DAY01691 11th September 2008 09:58 AM

Love Appears, I think it's your imagination, to be honest. Ahaha. It doesn't seem much different.

This will all take time to find out, but there is definite changes with AUDIENCE, M (for some), and Dearest (that synth instrument in the beginning). I really don't hear the difference in Endless Sorrow and NEVER EVER, really.

Deneb 11th September 2008 10:01 AM

wow, am i the only one not hearing any difference xD

tourniquet 11th September 2008 10:59 AM

^are you listening with headphones? either that or you have a real high quality audio system.

I also think that they increased the modem dialing and hi-hat effects in Mirrorcle World. still have to listen to the majority.

freedreamer 11th September 2008 11:07 AM

i think they even remastered the A BEST 2 a bit...
Endless Sorrow is the most obvious change...unless they picked...
im still comparing hahaha..

and AUDIENCE is brilliant! very nice

tethevo 11th September 2008 12:03 PM

Some sounds in the beginning of TO BE sounded different to me too.

rusuke 11th September 2008 12:33 PM

I can't wait to hear the new M and the other songs...

thinkingoutloud89 11th September 2008 01:22 PM

TO BE...I didn´t listen to it much but I`m sure there are soudn effects I didn´t hear before

AUDIENCE...very well done ...I like the echo

M....bad without the guitar

poker face + appears...no change but very high quality (doesn´t sound old anymore)

that what I listend to so far

keikeiaznqueen 11th September 2008 02:08 PM

Poker face is really completely smoothed out. The music became sooo good to listen to. *___*

SURREAL__RAINBOW 11th September 2008 02:10 PM

damn!
i cant wait to listen to them!

lol

thinkingoutloud89 11th September 2008 02:43 PM

so new ones

Trust....has it a new arrangement? the instruments sound so good and the loud keyboard is new to me

glitter, BLUE BIRD, Startin'...sound still the same to me altough teh background vocals in startin seem a bit synthenzisted (or how you spell it XD)

U-GO-BOY 11th September 2008 02:57 PM

I can finally understand what the man says at the end of monochrome! "You're right" BANG xD

and something at the beginning of INSPIRE is different...

jbrat2219 11th September 2008 03:33 PM

Aw man! This all sounds so great, I hope I get mine today >_<;;; Although I doubt I will :(

freedreamer 11th September 2008 03:58 PM

im listening to Disc 1...those songs which have been mentioned to seem different..
i really didnt pay attention to her first album so i cant judge...

but poker face is much more...easy on the ears and pleasant now
somehow..the songs seem so much NOW..lol despite vocals..

TO BE sounds more crisp...really nice!..i Love how remastering makes all the songs sound crystal clear...

and i still dunno why monochrome ends so abruptly..lol

---(suddenly feeling nostalgic)---

appears and Fly High..didnt notice hahaha...definitely clearer im sure..

thinkingoutloud89 11th September 2008 04:30 PM

Fly high and monochrome sound so good (the ending is now understandable!)
Boys & girls is also so clear
I love the new CDs!

I was listening to forgiveness and the strings seemed more prominent than usual. Could've been just me..

GRACE 11th September 2008 08:32 PM

^I noticed that too, actually =P Also, I did notice a more prominent harp in the Dearest chorus.

jbrat2219 11th September 2008 10:15 PM

I haven't gotten that far yet (I had to work and I'm in school now) But WHAT'S UP Poker Face is so epic now *_*;;;; Audience is the best song of my life xD; And Far away+SEASONS are my new favorites xD; SURREAL rules my life and M sounds great! I never heard it with the guitar version so I can't complain about that (I usually listen to M Above & Beyond mix :P).

Mari-chan 11th September 2008 11:15 PM

Hmmm.. now, I really wanna listen to M and Audience from A Complete.. but I don't wanna download the full Album.
M without a guitar Solo... hmm... strange. (^-^)

It ahs to do with the lyrics
she says soemthing like "I´m still strong" or so and then the song cuts off....and in this version you hear a guys saying "yes right" like in the single version but clearer

maikaru 11th September 2008 11:44 PM

you can finally hear her voice in mirrorcle world clearly.~~ in the first chorus.

EDIT:~ I dont understand why they used album versions of daybreak and fly high, but not the updated version of depend on you~
The A Best version is exactly the same, except new recording, right?~ I wish they chose that one~ her voice sounds better. LOL

I don't mind these versions of those two songs, daybreak and fly high, but I wish they chose A Best album version of depend on you too. LOL

ayujarl 12th September 2008 12:08 AM

ok, after read you guys' comment about Audience and Mirrorcle World, I listen to them side by side with the original.

Avex did a GREAT job remastering these tracks. they sound so SHARP, reNEW and crystal CLEAR. ^^v Ayu's vocal stands out a lot. no blurry instruments sound at all.

will try to listen to the whole A COMPLETE when my copy arrives with my sound system ;)

Celaphorce 12th September 2008 12:24 AM

Like everyone else, I'm extremely upset about the issue with M I can't believe the guitar solo is out and the boring bridge in...I was like bleh, what kinda lead-up to the climax of the song sounds like this, imo it's very ********Y!!!

bulmasman 12th September 2008 12:34 AM

It's a shame to hear that the guitar solo from M seems to be missing (haven't downloaded the MP3's yet, waiting for my copy to arrive) but it's not the end of the world if you have the original on CD aswell :shrug

minkAYuko 12th September 2008 01:43 AM

when I read about the guitars missing on M I got pretty mad, but actualy now hearing the song with out them is not bad at all, still sounds like it could be an error of someone not adding them but is not that bad.

also, FLY HIGH, KANARIYA and Daybreak were chosen from the albums cause those are the original versions, the others are remixes.

I'm glad they added the original version of kanariya, is really pretty I've always liked it.

and yep they sound more clear, and you canlisten to every arrangement ever made, I'm lovin' it, specially the first singles.

nomizo31 12th September 2008 03:10 AM

are people discovering this from downloading the songs or from copied they have bought?

Also its possible like someone said - that the DVD copy has some tiny differences - like an extra little qwerk

I'm discovering it on the ones I bought. The only real MAJOR change is the missing guitar in M, everything else is little nuances that make the experience even better.

AyUta 12th September 2008 03:57 AM

I just listened to half of A COMPLETE and there are definitely differences. I especially noticed differences in M.

Aggar 12th September 2008 04:58 AM

I guess Whatever has really changed and it's better than previous versions. Her voice is A LOT better.

I have no idea for M . Kinda odd without Guitar solo .

Supposedly, the last line "watashi wa totemo tsuyoi kara" ("because I'm very strong") is abruptly cut off to show that it isn't true at all.

But still doesn't make sense why they would take it out.

I say just skip it and listen to the original version. There's no real good point to have it 'grow' on us really.

Evolution7/4 13th September 2008 01:11 AM

Another thing to take into account is that Album mixes may be different than singles mixes, and A Complete could have used one which sounds different than the ones some have heard.

Keiichi_JPU 13th September 2008 01:36 AM

Everything sounds so great with a headphone! I'm so happy with this album!

In Appears.. in the intro, it sounds like wind rushing by.. has it always been like that? I don't have Loveppears so I can't check the original CD :(

Oh it also sounds like wind rushing by during the entire song! Sometimes you hear it between lines! I'm almost sure it wasn't like that before!

And I LOVE Audience btw! :D

It actually makes it a little more mellow, so I think the sadness is pushed a little more than the original. Without the guitar, it felt a lot more lonely (which is a good thing for the song's lyrics).

It's a (great) surprise, and brings a pretty new perspective to the song.

alternarist 13th September 2008 01:40 PM

the guitar solo in AUDIENCE is changed right?? other than that, AUDIENCE sounded so much better than the original song. More like a dance song.

greggerz189 13th September 2008 05:33 PM

AUDIENCE sounds superb! M is indeed strange without the guitar solo...the harp strings in Dearest don't sound any stronger than they did on A BEST 2 -BLACK-, I think. I can hear the difference in older songs like poker face and vogue. Altogether, I think they did a wonderful job with the remastering, but the missing guitar solo from M is a bit weird, to tell the truth.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 13th September 2008 05:47 PM

uhmmm

i dunno if there are many differences

i only heared the one with M

anyway differences make A COMPLETE special right?

Reading all these little changes in the songs make me want to download A COMPLETE but argh I shall resist until I have bought my own copy of A COMPLETE!

Bad Wolf 15th September 2008 06:19 PM

^ Resist! It'll be all the more rewarding when you have your own copy and can listen to it nonstop, which is what I did all day yesterday XD

Amrai-chan 15th September 2008 08:32 PM

Ah I really want A Complete now. Guess I'll have to start saving up! M without the guitar solo sounds interesting.

minna 15th September 2008 11:49 PM

so I didn't want to hear A COMPLETE before having it
and now I have it
so since I read here that M was changed I wanted to listen to it first

and wow. that is so much different without the guitar solo. I like it but I have to say it feels strange. I'm kinda sad that they take it out because it was such a beautiful part
but the new one is really good.
listening to it more and more. I definitly love it
it's just surprsing at first because we are so used to the original
it's normal to miss it :)

listening to AUDIENCE and OMG IT'S SO DIFFERENT! BUT SO COOL!
yeah really cool. love !

so I haven't listen to all of them just what I said here XD but I will definitly listen to all of them CAREFULLY

the original version will always be the original ones. but I think it's great they arranged all the songs.
perfect for a 10th Anniversary ! A new era, a new sound, a new perspective

pommy48 16th September 2008 05:13 AM

..i can't hear any difference!! >_< i have hearing problems..maybe seriously cause i can't hear clear

can someone list the time of the difference?

mikecavs11 16th September 2008 07:06 AM

well I'm listening to Who... on my iPod and I can here a rattling beat in my left earbud, I don't think it had that in the original

Her vocals in Who... (10th anniversary version) are amazing. I was hoping for an acapella verse like in the CM but it is not that big a deal with this remastered version of the song

Ayumi_lover 16th September 2008 06:27 PM

now listening to Disc 1 in license!! YEAH!! Her songs now doesn't sound as old songs!!! YAY!! Good job!!!

Please refer to Post #9.

As for M, I STRONGLY recommend everyone to listen to it. Even without the guitar solo. Like I said earlier, you can feel the pain a lot more without the solo; it feels empty, because something REALLY is missing. I think it's just amazing.

Then again, it's my opinion.

Sorry but I find the new M really...awkward :S
It doesn't seem right at all, there's just this gap which needs to be filled. The guitar solo was so perfect :/

monochrome is one of those songs I never listened to the whole way through. So when I listened to it after I got A COMPLETE and the song ended abruptly, I screamed (I was in the middle of dancing to it so...). And then I heard a door close and I was looking around to see where it came from xD; I felt so retarded when I realized it was part of the song lol

^ I seriously dont understand why monochrome ends that way its kinda stupid to me. All the remastering in A COMPLETE is top-notch.
