Just thought it was interesting to know, seeing as B previously stated she listens to Ayu and Koda Kumi. I'm not accusing her of copying or anything, I actually find it quite amusing and I can't wait for the album release!

Yes Beyonce listens to Ayu and Koda. She had an interview with media and said she really liked Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki and Koda Kumi, typically Koda Kumi.

I think Beyonce has similar style to Koda in music, and she is impressed by Ayu's songs and image.

Sounds great, is there a text interview or video interview where she mentions this?

I am... is a very common title for an album or a song. I don't see any copying from Ayu. :p

But still, when I think of it, I remember seeing this music video of some song where Sean Paul was with Beyonce. I don't remember the songs name, but that does remind me a little of Kuu's songs. Especially SHAKE IT somehow. :p And there are few other songs' music videos too, that remind me of Kuu's songs. I just don't remember what they were called.

But I have always hated Beyonce, and Destiny's Child. What bothers me most is her voice. It just... bothers me. I don't know why. o.O And I won't start listening to her just because she likes my two favourite artists. That's just stupid. :p

I like how everyone says "I am..." is a common name for a song/album. EVERYONE who believed this is essentially wrong. The elipsis ("...") makes a huge difference (as can be seen here). Not the greatest reference, but there are a total of three cited albums with the elipsis, and that's it. All others don't involve that punctuation, thus making it essentially different.

The concept itself is common, but the elipsis isn't. At least there are pretty good breaks (1999, 2002, 2008) inbetween, so it's not too bad.

i generally just don't like Beyonce but i'm not a hater and won't go all "she sucks" on her, i have nothing against her calling her album I am... because that's realy not copying. there are A LOT of albums called I am... and it's a great title for an album and for a song.

and it's not going to mean anything for Ayu, not good or bad. people that have never heard of Ayu won't suddenly hear about her just because Beyonce has the samt album title.

Wow this has nothing to do with it. It's just because japanese music is not as popular as english music in the world. Very few people in France for example know japanese music, and in western countries too I think. And if I and ren are doubting she listens to Ayu or Kuu, it's just because she was doing her promotion in Japan, and she said she liked Kuu & Ayu it's too much of a coincidence (like a French singer named M.Pokora he said in his Japan promotion that he liked Namie). Japan has the 2nd largest music industry in the world. There is a HUGE chance that Beyonce and other artists know about Ayu and Kuu. Fergie and Shakira obviously do, why not Beyonce?

Well, that's how they'll sound if they make a song together. Ayu has a weaker voice than Beyonce just like how Kuu has a weaker than Fergie. American singers typically have stronger vocals than Japanese singers.

This is interesting because Ayumi Hamasaki is one of the few artists, that I know of, who has not had a self titled album, that is not a comptilation. When you think about it her albums have a feel that goes with the songs. However I like Beyonce,but not as much as I like Ayu and this will be interesting. Hopefully we do not have another endless sorrow and madonna problem.
