i'm finding pictures of ayumi before she was a star..i.e those pictures when she was modelling/acting or any even earlier pictures of her. I only had a couple of them though.

It's not ayu's grandma, it's the wife of the president of Sun Music.

Here are a few. I tried to post such pics that I didn't see on Zyrex or that can be found in the "Terima Kasih" photobook. Some duplicates might have slipped through though. I once saw a website that had incredible many pictures and scans from magazines of pre 1998 days. I'm extremely sad that I didn't save any of them to my HDD. :no

Definitely not her grandmother. That lady in the picture is named てる子 (Teruko), and to my knowledge nobody knows what the real name of Ayumi's grandma was? :shrug

^I'm not sure how old she was in that picture, I think I found the photo in a thread somewhere last year... I don't remember.

And I don't know who the guy is, maybe he could be in one of the movies Ayu was in? Or a model?

That doesn't mean ayu's grandma's name couldn't have been Teruko, but as far as I know, it wasn't.

This woman's name is Teruko Aizawa, and her husband (as introduced in the Otte! Gaburi video with ayu staying at their house) is the president of Sun Music (ayu's old talent agency).

This appears to be from the Born To Be... era.

Aw, she was so cute back then! She's definitely grown up this past decade though. Before I read that her "grandma" wasn't her grandma, I was going to remark how much Ayumi resembles "grandma." Am I the only one who sees this vague resemblance? (Focus on the smile and the overall face.)

It's not that unexpected since she was a gravure idol at the time. Any stuff from those days though is pretty rare to find and expensive if you do.

I can't see kanjis on my computer, but i think you have found her modelname. As known, she has been model since she was 7 years old, but she didn't use her real name, but her fake name, Kurumi Hamazaki. It's probably that kanjis you have found ^^
