Does anybody else prefer the panasonic vers. of GREEN???
 

I have to say, the panasonic version sounded more...uplifting? I don't know. I still can't really decide.

Well, the panasonic version sounded like GREEN was a ballad, but now we know that apparently, it's not. XD I do like both versions. If only they'd release the panasonic version as a b-side.

I like both a lot too. The Panasonic version sounded rather positive but the ringtone is dark...I barely recognized it at all! Hopefully it's just a quality problem...otherwise I wish there was a way to get both versions in full. <3

yeah, i prefer the panasonic version of GREEN. It seems to have a happier feeling to it. But as for the ringtone, it sounds like a very dark song. But overall, both versions are nice :)

I think, Ayu maybe planning GREEN as her summer single at first, so she decided to go on happy tune (for me the CM version is summer pop) and thus, Panasonic used it as the CM song.

But maybe because there are some problems regarding the release, she holds it back for winter and adjust the tune to more fit in the winter time, or some sort.

I like both of them actually, I thought that she would put the CM version in the single, but she didn't. T_T

It's hard to say without hearing a better quaility of the current GREEN, because the chorus sounds the same to me...

Panasonic's chorus sounds slightly better but i can't make any decision until i hear the full version of GREEN - with much better quality of course.

The ring tone versions tones down the strings and makes the beats louder, due to the sound quality. Therefor the versions are most likely very similar anyhow.

I actually went back and listened to both of them again and... They are pretty similar and I think that the differences between the two could be just because of the quality... well, I really do like both, but I am going to have to wait for the full version before I can definitively say anything...

The thing is, is that I really loved the panasonic version, so when I found out that they changed it... I was not happy... But, I like both versions, and I can't wait for the FULL version of GREEN!!!

There wasn't all that much difference. Certain parts are brought out, others are quieted, and the tempo is slightly altered.

imo, I think we think it sounds really different because the verses aren't what you'd expect to hear with the chorus we listened too before. The chorus as a separate entity, compared to the panasonic CM, is almost exactly the same. The tempos a little slower, and the instrumentation is slightly altered. That's really it ^^;;

The vocals sound a bit different, like her emphasis on different syllables but I really think it might be because the ringtone download is of low quality. Not to mention, Song ringtones sometimes have a different sound to the actual song.

I think it's exactly the same. I also think the Panasonic commercial might have given a lot of people happy thoughts because of the tea cup + balloons + pink colors and stuff. I just listened to the Panasonic CM and the ringtone after another and they do sound the same xD Some slight differences because of quality, but it generally sounds the same.

I didn't realise any difference. But the quality was really bad for the ring tone i downloaded so i can't really tell. It sounded the same though. Ugh. I dunno. Im confused myself.

Not the first one, so it is bound to be different.
The tempo is the same for sure.. if you continue the count between the recent version, and panasonic version, it's the same count.

And yeah, since the quality is bad, I think it sounds like she is out of breath cause we can't hear the soft part.

I agree with this entirely.... sometimes I feel like I'm one of maybe 2 or 3 people who didn't hear ANYTHING "happy" or "uplifting" in the CM version of the song... I heard a mid-tempo dramatic kinda rock-ish ballad along the lines of "Will" or "Heartplace". Everyone else is talking about it being happy sounding and I just never ever ever ever heard anything like that. i honestly wondered if people were talking about the same song sometimes.

I think the ringtone sounds exactly the same as the CM version too, and my impression of the song isn't really any different than it was when I heard it in the CM (except the addition of some of the instrumentation we didn't hear before, which was very nice).

It's all promotion to get that danged camera sold. :laugh

i think the panasonic arrangement fits the song a little more... it's less driven. the ringtone version sounds a tad awkward.

Agreed too. I think the "difference" will be completely eliminated when the single (or an official preview) is released. Well the song will be brushed up of course, but I don't think the difference will be big enough to start talking about "panasonic (happy) version" and "sad version". Like I said in my previous post, the CM just makes you think the song is happy xD

I like the Version from the CM a bit more.

I still say that I like the CM version more... but the more that I listen to it, the more it sounds the same... we'll see, right?

just wait for the HQ rip then we'll noe..but u cant deny that, because of the VERSE, everyone will feel that the song is darker now... since we no longer have the smiles of AYu and teacups in our mind when hearing it

it's definently recorded again, you can hear it in her voice. it sounds so much squekier in the cm version, like theres less vibrato at the end of the first chorus too

mirror sounded a lot more... high? however you say it, mirrorcle was a lot more noticeably looower.

The panasonic one was better for me only because of the complimentary graphics: Ayu spinning in a teacup, etc...
