How fried is Ayu's hair?
 

It's been died dozens of times, I don't know how she has any hair left on 'er head at this point! How does she keep her hair looking NOT so fried? Her extensions always look so fried they look like hay, yet her natural hair on top usually doesn't look too damaged at all, which I find is weird because your natural is stuck on your head whereas you can buy brand new extensions whenever you want...

Anyone have any pics of Ayu with extreme hair damage and or pics of her hair that look shiny and healthy?

I don't have a picture... but in AT2007, when shes practicing the dance with Shuya, her hair looks like that... pretty weak

she must use a lot of products to keep it "good"

it always gets me about celebrities hair, because they do so much crap to it...but they use the best stuff on it as well...

Yeah, it's probably easier to manage even, to have short hair ALL the time with extensions. XD

I think most celebs who constantly do things to fry their hair usually keep their natural hair around their neckline so they can always be trimming the split ends and cutting off the damage every few months and then using brand new extensions every month, so the extension hair is shiny and fresh and then the hair on their heads stays semi fresh cause they're always cutting damage off..

I think Ayu must be reusing extensions because there's no way that brand new extensions would look that straw-like.. I think she must be dyeing the extensions over and over

Her hair must be really weak.

Something I have always wondered is how she changes haircolor so quick. Well of course, she dyes it but if she has it blond and then wants brown, shouldn't she wait until the blond has grown out?

Or if she want her normal haircolor back she has it back in like 2 months but my hairdresser told me that if you dye hair it takes like 1 year before it has grown out ...

i wouldn't wait either, bc it just looks nasty. brown at the top and blond at the bottom.
just color it brown and leave it then.

They have shampoos for color protected hair and the cheap ones usually work fine, so she probably has access to the high end color treatment shampoos as well as heat protectant sprays, moisturizing balm for dry hair etc. :yes

@AyuHamasaki01: I think the blonde just starts to fade and it gives off the color of brown. Unless you mean when her hair was dark brown - black.

I think she has used wigs a lot too, not only extensions. At least other J artists use them, so I suppose she does it too. Her nails must be also very weak btw :S

i don't think that she does too much to her real hair.
most of her hairstyles are extensions and wiggs. sure she does do more to her hair than we regular people, but not as much as other celebs^^

Yeah that's true too, you can't wear press on nails all the time or even leave them painted because you have to let the nails breathe or else they'll get weak and gross

I suppose they have some tricks, but I also heard somewhere that using makeup (and specially the quantity they use) like everyday it´s also bad for the skin. She really has to spend like 50% of her time being pretty, staying pretty and taking care of her body so she doesn´t ruins it with all that stuff. Being ayu is not easy xDD

I have to agree but once again they have nail protectant polishes as well. Even so I've gotten my nails done 3 times in my whole life and they were on for months [I never bothered to get them replaced every 2 weeks or whatever] and my nails were so sensitive and weak after just being on for a few weeks, I can't imagine how Ayu's nails must feel.

I agree with Maikaru: her hair looked very good and healthy in CLD 07-08 :) It does look quite thin and fragile in the making of's on AT07. but I like it that way too.

Yeah, Ayu and other celebs must use a lot of wigs too, appart from extensions... For example, last november-december she had lots of promotions, shootings of PV's, rehersal for CDL, and she can't spend an hour or two having her hair done before each appearance

Well, I'm tempted to rush off to my hairdressing instructor and ask her since I still don't know that much D:
but her hair (without all of the products, like what's used to do all the styling for her hair) looked normal? Thin, but acceptable.
Like in the making of 07-08 CDL, when she's talking in the car with those huge~ glasses,
it didn't seem as much was done to it, if anything at all.
But I do agree that her hair is damaged, a lot probably, but there are also many ways to help your hair look good and all.
Much of them are very expensive, but I think she can handle that :3

Probably she uses serums and creams and stuff... really, what a bother to do that everyday xDDD (I couldn´t do it myself xDD too lazy). Anyway, I understand how dying the hair can damage it, but extensions? how do they damage the hair?

depends on how you put the extensions on i guess...u can clip them but they probably ain't very secure...sometimes stylist iron them into your own hair..so they stay longer and more secure...that won't be good to ur hair..even if she clip them...she probably uses tons of hairstyle and hair styling products to make them stay and keep them in shape...so that won't be good either

That's not a problem for her if she can just repair it with expensive stuff...

Well, that is how it is w/ celebs. 4example Christina Aguilera have said herself that she doesnt have too much hair anymore. That might go w/ Ayu too since she always does so much w/ her hair.
