1. Is there any appears single promo-posters?
I love how she looks as a black woman on the single cover!:luv2
Or at least LOVEppears posters... I wasn't able 2 find any at yahoo auctions...:no

2. Was there any First Press with LOVEppears & appears? 'cause I'm planning 2 order them with my new order from CD Japan. LOVEppears 2nd isn't Limited somehow is it regular?

Neither LOVEppears nor appears had first-press bonuses... everything that seems like it would be a bonus has appeared on every official copy of the release since its initial pressing in 1999.

As for posters, I've never seen any for the appears single by itself, but here are two magazine advertisements:

Is she really supposed to be black?

I thought she was representing the tanning craze or something.

The only explanation we ever get is "black ayu" and "white ayu"... that's actually what the personas on the covers are called.

My guess is one is the dark, mysterious side of ayu, and one is the bright, showy side of ayu - they're both purely her, but one is more daring and the other more safe.

She does that duality thing alot. This mighta just been her way of saying there's more than just the innocent little girl from A Song for XX.

she also did the duality thing with ABEST 2 and ayu-mi-x 6

Only the Overseas version of LOVEppears comes with that, the japan version never did. (But the OS version has fewer bonuses on the CD-extra segment of disc 2.)

Here's a scan of the poster in question for those curious.... choyan scanned it, I retouched out the fold lines (not too well, there are still two places with the fold lines there :P).

Ayesha: I've been collecting pictures & info on ayu "stuff" for the whole time I've been a fan (8 years :P) XD Whenever I find a poster, magazine ad, standup, promo, or bit of merchandise that I don't have a picture of, I get so excited XD!! i'm at the point now though where I don't know what I have pictures of - I've saved a few pictures only to get a "image already exists. replace?" error because I already had it. o_O

O wow, i never knew that! I only knew about the folded mini poster was a difference. Can You specify the differences in the 2nd disc for JPN and OS versions?

Offhand I don't remember, but I have the japan one and a friend of mine has the OS one, so I'll check with her :) I do think that the OS version doesn't have the magazine scans, and it doesn't have some or all of the CMs included in the japan version. But again, I'd have to check.

EDIT: I have checked with her and I was mostly right ^^ The magazine scans are NOT included, and the CMs are limited to the avex release CMs only, NOT any of the ads ayu did for Morinaga, Aube, Honda, or JT. That whole second page of CMs is not included.

BTW a little request here. Does anybody have any appears or LOVEppears CM's in a highest possibly quality?

The highest quality i've seen is the avi rips from Complete Clip Box, I THINK that's what I have, but i'm not totally sure. XD But in any case, I can upload them for you if you want.

The LOVEppears "hamamsaki" poster is about 9 inches wide & 18 inches high, folded into eighths to fit into the CD case.

Here's a version of the poster with the fold lines, each block is about a 4 1/2 inch square or so:
