Very emotional first time listening
 

Is there any Ayu songs that made you emotional the first time you heard them?
Even to the point where it made you cry?

Days! haha. xD

I won't cry because of a song, i'll cry because of a sad movie :)

But listening and watching the PV of Days made me feel a little emotional.

No, there isn't a single Ayu song that I've ever gotten really emotional listening to. Songs rarely do that for me anyways. I guess the only one I've ever really emotionally connected with (if even that) would be Together When...

A Song for XX and Dearest (acoustic).

Definitely "Memorial Address". Didn't cry, but it did kind of get to me. And "Hanabi ~Episode II~."

I'm never emotional to Ayu's song when first time listen to the songs. Bcuz, I don't know a word in the lyrics. But, when I watched the CDL 07/08, Ayu had cried on the stage when singing untitled ~for her~. So, I decided to search the lyric. I read the lyric and it makes me wanna cry. I heard the lyric is for her grandmother that had past away years ago.

(I heard the song is dedicated to her very close friend that died. I don't know whether this song is for her grandmother or her friend)

The only one that was on the first listen though was A Song for ××...
The others were after I had heard it about twice.

I really don't cry very often, but there have been times where I guess I get overwhelmed by the lyrics. I related (and I still relate) a lot to A Song for ××...

HEAVEN. Oh god. I cried seeing Ayu break down.

The same could be said for HANABI ~episode II~. God it's such a powerful song. ;____;

GREEN, Marionette, Will, Pride, JEWEL, SEASONS and Over send shivers down my spine when I first heard them :) I still get shivers from some of them and other songs too but these songs gave me the reaction first time around.

If it's first time, then it's MY ALL.
Probably because I was at a certain period of life where people would have to say goodbye soon ><

HANABI made me cry when I first listened to it, it was so sad. Then I read the translation and it described a situation with a person in my life, it means a lot to me, especially now since that person is seriously ill. HEAVEN made me cry too, it reminds me of people who have gone. Memorial address, as it makes me think of my grandmother, she passed away that year.

At first I only listened to the songs, but when I saw the lyrics I was very touched..

I cried when I first listened to LOVEppears all the way through and Who... came on right after LOVE ~refrain~. It was so perfect and so sad :( I think I'm gonna go listen again.

Also, Memorial address ~take 2 version~ and HANABI get me a little emotional at times as well.

I was really shoked with the preview of Days... it made me cry... And I'm really surprised that Days makes cry a lot of people!! Yeah... it's really emotional!

Then... other songs I cried the first time... Memorial Adress, untitled ~for her~, walking proud...

But then there're songs that now make me cry, not the first time though, because now I know the lyrics... like: who..., MY ALL, END ROLL....

I wont cry while listening to songs, but i will be moved while watching emotional live performances.

Heaven, together when...., especially Heaven, I cry even when I heard the melody....

For me it's HEAVEN and JEWEL. It's even more emotional for me listening to songs like JEWEL, Voyage, and End roll when she's performing it live or on PV.

Well... I'm a sensible person and when I'm sad, or it's my first time hearing them, a small tear may leave my eye from time to time, so here's my list:

*Tears for song itself: Heaven, memorial address, who, untitled -for her-, hanabi, Endless Sorrow, walking proud, to be, never ever

*Tears because of Pv: Days, together when, fated, momentum

*Song that give me a feeling of melancholy: seasons, rainy day, winding road, replace, pride, a song for xx, dearest

Now, there are songs that do hit me and even inspire me when I'm feeling a little sad or that sort, and they usually give me that feeling because of either then energy they have or their lyrics.
*: kanariya, monochrome, duty, end of the world (also the music and ayu's voice gives a strong feeling of pain), for my dear, far away, jewel, because of you, voyage.

I agree.

Yeah, songs don't usually make me cry. Especially if I can't understand them, and I don't understand Ayu. Even if the music is slow, she could be singing about anything and that is nothing to cry about for me.

Watching PV's can also make em emotional.
