Ayu arrives in Hawaii ~ Sheds light on Wound / Lover.
 

The singer, Hamasaki Ayumi, who received an injury on her right hand at the end of last year, has arrived on the 4th in Hawaii on an Airplane from Narita Airport. She responded to local reporters, and Nashimoto Masaru's keitai site, "Public Entertainment Channel"

The days she is staying are "The 5th to the 6th", as she said her goal is "Still photography images."

The current status of her wound is bandaged, but, she commented "It's fine. I'm sorry, this appearance is abit dirty/unclean/etc, but.." She revealed, "Thanks God (not God, but, I couldn't find any other expression that fit) that I am facing recovery, so I'm perfectly fine. It's only until 3 weeks (until complete recovery.)" When asked if her fingernails had come unstuck, she said "It's like that."

Last year, there was a rumour being made about her in Shinchou newspaper and magazine about Hawaii Jewelery Designer, Jason-Shi, and when Nashimoto Masaru asked about it, she lightly sidestepped, saying "Jason?? ahahaha", but when another reported asked if she had a lover, she only answered, "I'm sorry to say..."

With her wound, she performed 2 days at Countdown Live, and at the 59th Kouhaku as she performed her duty as top batter, and sang "Mirrorcle World" wholeheartedly. As people observed the state of the injury, "At first she was going to use a stand where the mic was on, but on the day, she used a black protector, and changed her costume so she showed in through flashy action. She took painkillers, and didn't she have her mic fixed to the right hand?"(I'm not sure if I could translate that one properly, sorry!!)

Nails do fall off when there is severe bruise. 2 of my nails just fallen off. It's rather painless actually, the pain comes when the hand is injured though. Ayu must be sad that she can't do manicure now! haha.

I'm pretty sure she meant that's just how she felt, not that her fingernails really "fell off". :) Since the sentence "sonna kanji desu" could be translated as "it's that kind of a feeling" or "it feels like that", imo.

Fingernails falling off are strange try trapping your finger in the door.

Yeah, nails falling off isn't really unusual. When I slammed my hand in my (concrete!) door a couple years ago, my nail grew out all weird and eventually fell off. It really doesn't hurt that much. It's the bruise that hurts.

Ayu's bandage is so big...O_O I hope she gets to have some fun and relax in Hawaii~

Yeah, I think she was on a lot of pain killers for CDL but all that moving her hand around could not have been good for her recovery. She may have actually made it worse thus the leaving a day late and a much more extensive bandage now.

It didn't seem like she really minded that much - her tone of voice and replies were polite and she stayed to answer their questions. I think the main difference is we are used to seeing her with her big enterouge.

Oh no it's not that hehe. It's just...she's all covered up and mysterious. She wouldn't take off her sunglasses or hat. I guess I'm just really not use to seeing her like that. Just something about her...seems off. She looks kind of sad to me. Maybe because of the injury? She looked embarrass to show it, which is understandable. I really wonder how badly she injured it... It just looks like she's not in very good spirits. It makes me sad =(. Also, what I said before. Wasn't she being asked questions but she kept on walking lol. She wouldn't even stop. ah I was more referring to when they were talking to her in Hawaii. She may have had no choice but to continue walking at Narita airport since it takes you like half an hour just to walk to your gate there. :)

They should have like...given her one of them golf cart rides to her gate or something LOL. This way she doesn't have to walk so far and the reporters wouldn't be able to attack her with questions.

I've just watched the video one more time.
It seems that at the end of PCDL she intented to take her wristband off but she took the bandage off accidentally. That's the reason she turned her back to the audience.

I'm actually quite interested to see how they will work around her injured hand. It was fun to see them work around it for the costumes in the concert.

Although I have the feeling that the PCDL probably made her recovery time longer...

It did lol. I'm sure of it. We're all speculating that she was probably on some massive painkillers or anesthetic, otherwise I'm sure she would have felt some major pain during the 3 hour performance. She's strong but there's only so much you can try to hide. It's regrettable but sacrifices have to be made...especially if she wanted to go ahead with the concert. I don't think there was anything that could stop her from doing this concert short of death.

On Saturday? That means she's still in Hawaii? Awesome! I guess the 5th and 6th were her photoshoot days, and the 7th through 10th are for relaxation. Of course we have to take into account the flight time...so she probably leaves on the 9th. Anyone have an idea how long it takes to get from Japan to Hawaii? Not that long I'd imagine. It's around 3,900 miles I think...so maybe 6-8 hrs?

Well I had the feeling she wanted to find someone from GREEN/Days. Maybe she's regretting the break up... or wants to start over
