I love the thread title! It's so creative.

I think all the thread titles in this sub-forum are the most creative titles I have ever seen in any forum before.

YUI needs an ameblo blog! (lol) But other than that, I look forward to something new from YUI! ^_^

rookies 18th January 2009 06:05 AM

^ She doesn't have her own blog? I always thought she did.

KarenPang 18th January 2009 06:11 AM

I think HONEY_INSPIRE_ME19 / Heather is referring to YUI's radio blog of sorts ? :shrug

:laugh I'm referring to YUI having a personal blog (which I think she doesn't have)! I'm also stating that she should have an ambelo account. :P Following me so far? :P

rookies 18th January 2009 06:15 AM

ameblo is a kind of Japanese blog. I've seen some artists who have used it for their own blogging.

The members of GReeeeN all have their own individual ameblo blog. I thought it was pretty neat.

I wonder if it is free blogging service or not, or whether they have to pay for it.

It's free! I use it! Most of the AHS members use it too. :)

I wouldn't mind if she had her own ameblo blog. But I wonder if she would have the time to write on it, and keep it updated. XD

Her only single that is somewhat in Japanese is Namidairo.

I thought it was quite interesting how she used the Kanji for the title, and not the Japanese words.

edit: Namidairo is not in Kanji??? Huh?

sorry what I meant's Namidairo & not Namida :dead2 ... & the word Namidairo's spelt as it's on the single cover & not in Romanji context

if you check the single covers , you know what I mean

rookies 19th January 2009 05:25 AM

^ Namidairo is one of the songs that I somewhat liked from her third album.

It is a bit catchy. It reminds me of I Remember You in some aspects.

I was so into ayaka :roflmao

cos both ladies's music tend to sound a bit simliar as it leans towards the pop/rock side

I tried to get into ayaka's music when she first came out, but I didn't like it after giving it a try.

Then she released Mikazuki (spelling?), and it was very popular, but I still couldn't get into the song.

yes it's Mikazuki :yes , her 1st #1 single & prob the main reason as to why First Message was able to sell so well

I got into YUI after that because my younger sister's a diehard YUI fan & she's like you , not so into ayaka that much :(

Well, I personally can't get into ayaka's music, cus it's just different. I dunno why.

And I find that people who like a certain artist, also have this tendency to like similar artists as well. So for example, people who like YUI might also like Shion Tsuji (the next YUI as her thread title says) as well, and so on.

KarenPang 19th January 2009 06:00 AM

mmm yeah I suppose so

I still can't believe both ladies are born in the same year as me :thud

ayaka looks older than YUI. YUI has this teenager look. Maybe it's her baby face, and the fact that she is short, which makes her look like she is around 15-17-ish.

KarenPang 19th January 2009 06:07 AM

lol I agree , YUI does dress like her age but not ayaka :no

rookies 19th January 2009 06:08 AM

^ I always thought ayaka was 25 or somewhere near there. She does look a lot more mature than YUI.

I think it's the way ayaka dressed as she's always in hippy boho style

it works in her favor sometimes but not all the time

YUI's dress sense's better imo

I find that YUI's dress sense is a lot better too.

I find she looks very pretty when she wears skirts, like for example, on the I Remember You single cover, and also the MY SHORT STORIES cover.

I crown you the first to not like Mikazuki. :thud
You're probably like me in that First Message is an okay album but keeps you from listening to Sing to the Sky but believe me, that is worth taking a listen.

I gave her Sing to the Sky album a try back when it was released, but none of the songs seem to interest me, or really catch my attention, or make me like it.

However, I do like her live performances though. I did watch one where she sang at ap bank fest '08 (with the guy from Mr. Children on guitar), and I loved the performance. ^^

KarenPang 19th January 2009 08:34 AM

ayaka's prob the very rare few that can sound the same if not better live as what you hear on the CD :thud

YUI , not really so

I do admire ayaka for giving very good live performances. She sure can keep her voice on-tune and stuff like that.

I think YUI is maybe nervous in her live performances. She sure seems like a shy type of person, and tense too in her live performances.

I've never watched any of her concerts or DVD's, are they good?

I've only seen her performances on music shows, like Music Station, Music Fair, Music Fighter, CDTV, etc.

I like her live performances on Music Shows. Have you watched or remember any of them you like?

My favourites are:

- LIFE @ Music Fair (2005)
- feel my soul @ Music Fair (2005)
- Good-bye Days @ Music Station Super Live 2006

Most of my favourite live performances are songs from the beginning of her music career.

KarenPang 19th January 2009 09:17 AM

it's funny that you ask because I never watched a single live performance of her except in the DVD footages :dead2

the same thing goes for other artistes that I support like ayumi , Koda , otsuka

not sure why that didn't applied for Johnny's :roflmao

rookies 19th January 2009 09:20 AM

^ Here, I found the Music Fair live performances. They are both very good in my opinion:

LIFE (Music Fair)

-------------------------------

feel my soul (Music Fair)

KarenPang 19th January 2009 09:23 AM

thanks a lot :D The only time I know she lip synch was when she did Rolling star on MUSIC STATION cos she was ill on that day of performance

rookies 19th January 2009 09:26 AM

^ I've never watched her Rolling Star performance @ MS, or any of the other Rolling Star performances. Poor her, and too bad she had to lip-synch.

Good-bye Days @ Music Station Super Live (2006):

KarenPang 19th January 2009 09:27 AM

well at least she had a valid reason for lip synching , that was the only time she did it

oops sorry it's MUSIC FIGHTER & not MS :dead2

& aw I like this pic of her :

rookies 19th January 2009 09:34 AM

It could even be some sort of diary, where she writes about her thoughts and stuff, I dunno, haha. XD

Beauty4123 24th January 2009 03:43 AM
