I was kinda surprised there wasn't an existing Remioromen thread, since they are pretty popular in Japan. i love their album "HORIZON". it was pretty solid. :D
of course, i got into them through "粉雪" and "3月9日". i'm looking forward to their best album and i love the PV for "Sakura"! it reminds me of L'Arc~en~Ciel's "SHINE" PV. |

Ok, so I have lots of updates to cover in this post. 1) I've updated the first post with new downloads + media links! Go check it out, cus I linked to every download thread that I could find in the download section related to Remioromen, and made sure to link only the ones that still had working links. 2) Remioromen was nominated for "Best Video From a Film" in the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2009 for "Yume no Tsubomi", but now it has been announced that they will be performing. The show takes place at Saitama Super Arena and will air live at 6PM JST on May 30. 3) I found a lot of Remio download goodies at a Remio fansite called "Paradigm". Link is here: http://remioromen.xf-s.com/download.php It has PV's, Live Performances, etc, so go there to get all the newest Remio Goodies. 4) Sangatsu kokonoka (3月9日) placed #3 on Oricon's "songs that make you cry" list. It wasn't mentioned before in this thread, but Remioromen switched labels from SPEEDSTAR to OORONG RECORDS, which is affiliated with avex.
Starting with the "Yume no Tsubomi" single, that's when the catalog # first started with the avex #, FYI. I think they formed in 2000, so that's why it is calculated from that year, and not the year when their first release came out, which is 2003. Remioromen's Live Album with Strings
Remioromen will release a live album on April 27th. The album, entitled Remioromen "Your Songs" with strings at Yokohama Arena, features 26 songs performed by Remioromen and a string orchestra on March 9th at the Yokohama arena.
