Wow, these threads are fast!!!! Anyways, just wanted to say, TRICK is AWESOME!!! (Not as awesome as Black Cherry but waaaaay better than Kingdom). I really want a full version of that intro... maybe Kuu will make it in her next album??

I like the concept and she does execute it throughout the album by the circus arrangement~! This is the first time I listen to an original album of her.

And her homepage is excellent compared with ayu's(which is boring, I hv to admit)
The whole package of trick is awesome~!

Track by track:

intro: nice to begin, I like the "crowd" sound. 8/10
taboo: luv the trance arrangement, cool song. 10/10
show girl: that circus feel fits the song title. 10/10
your love: a little boring. 7/10
stay with me: a typical ballad of her, not too impressive. 7.5/10
this is not a love song: fun but quite cheesy 6/10
Driving: strong beat! I like the verse much more than the chorus 8/10
Bling x 3: mehhhhhhhhhhhhh 3/10
That ain't cool: too repetitive to me, it's not cool at all 4/10
hurry up! : sounds like that ain't cool, but i like the arrangement 4/10
Moon Crying: too bland, very similar to her previous ballads 6/10
JTWUR: an obvious filler to me, i enjoy the melody and the way she sings "I like you" though 6/10
Joyful: filler #2, once in a while you will find songs sound like this from kuu, i thought it was an xmas song at the beginning 7/10
愛のことば: again, ballads on this album just don't work on me, boring, but the last note is cool 6/10
Venus: What can I say!? this song just ends the album flawlessly , but i'm sure i've heard it before. I absolutely adore her "I'm your Five..yargh..." 9/10

Overall: it's 7.5/10 to me, good job kuuuuuuu~

TRICK was pure disappointment imo. Nothing all that flashy about it. The singles were not to hot either, except TABOO. It's just filled with boring electro-pop tracks and yawn-worthy ballads. Kumi has done better, her next single better make up for it.

i love TRICK.. she does more r&b/rap songs in it..

and yeah, her homepage is really kewl!!

this albums is EXTREMELY techno-pop sound , just because blingX3 has rap on it doesnt make the song hip hop :innocent
The only R&B-ish songs IMO in the album are This is not a love song and just the way you are

this album is FAAAAR away from R&B

i sure hope her next album has more R&B songs on it. her voice suits r&b more than pop imo

there are actually people who like Stay with me better than Ai no uta? I loved both Moon Crying and ai no uta a lot, but Stay with me was empty and emotionless imo, without a great hook in the chorus.

u noe, I used to say Your Love was in the "tsuki to taiyou/himitsu" spot..but now i feel..it resembles [anytime] much more...both are like sweet songs and close to being ballads...

@mishidabo: Kumi said herself that TABOO and the INTRODUCTION were R&B/hip hop though (one of the two, I think R&B).

@Lacus: Wow, you like Bling Bling Bling more than BUT? Btw maybe it should be Bling Bling Bling vs Under, because they both have that reversed effect in the background. And then Driving against BUT...

Anyways, I didn't really think too much about that list, I more or less did it track-number-wise and moved only a few around a bit.

I'd like to see someone who likes Kingdom more do that comparison list. I can't imagine someone preferring Wonderland, MORE, Anata Ga Shite Kureta Koto, Himitsu, etc. to awesome tracks like Hurry Up! @_@

I actually kinda like TAC now LOL.

I'm surprised at how many people like Kingdom more than TRICK. TRICK is the first Kuu album since Best ~Second Session~ that I've liked almost the full way through. BLack Cherry and Kindgom were great and all, but to me it felt like there were too many filler tracks that I ended up writing off. Overall I far more impressed by most of the album tracks on TRICK than with the singles (excluding Taboo). Much better quality IMO. As soon as I can afford it I'm definately buying it. ^_^

I think TRICK is pretty okay... It's kind of bland, but less bland than Kingdom in my opinion. I think it'll be a good album to mindlessly listen to while I'm not paying attention. :)

I just listen to the full TRICK album, and I must say I didn't like it at all. Still, Driving, show girl, Hurry Up!, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE and Moon Crying are relatively good

i forced myself to listen to the full TRICK album without skipping any tracks. i died at stay with me and tracks 6-8 revived me then i died again from tracks 9-12. joyful revived me, died again at 愛のことば, and was revived with venus.

so i made it out alive :yes

I guess all the excitement for TRICK died when everyone actually heard it? Wow, now I'm worried lol.

nah haha. its like...(at least for me)..I anticipate it SO much then once i got it..the feeling just dies..coz there isnt the thrill anymore

but that said..I really enjoy TRICK..the only track that irritates me because i need to press skip is TAC

THIS IS NOT A LOVE SONG is actually my favorite track on the album, and actually might be the best song I've heard in the last year. :tired

I've learned that if you anticipate something too much you tend to get disappointed more easily. I unfortunately tend to do that with Ayu too often, so I try not too look too much at announcements about the album and previews before it comes out. I kept my expectations pretty low for TRICK (even though I expected it to be good), so it was better than I thought it would be. :P

imo in terms of overall package , I say TRICK wins , music wise

guess everyone's opinions are divided between Kingdom & TRICK *shrugs*

I think TRICK has the most creative and unique booklet CD pics out of all her albums. ^^
