The entire single, including instrumentals, has been released and can be downloaded in parts as ringtones.

Eh this is what a movie tie-in can do. It's giving avex a lot of "opportunities" as well.

why in the world is there STILL no TV or magazine performances to promote this??? is it because they think that with such a big tie in, it'll be enough?

avex is confusing me...this and kumi's lack of single details is baffling.

I guess "Rule" and "Sparkle" had enough downloads to where they decided to put all the parts to all the songs up for downloads as well. This is actually a smart move - if someone decides to download one part and like it, they may end up downloading the rest of the parts, too.

It's not like we won't be hearing those songs within the next week... we'll probably hear them by the weekend.

Well, this might just be avex's "promotion" for Rule/Sparkle. No TV, no magazines, no posters up in Japan... no nothing. Perhaps 'ringtones' are their promotion tactics this time.

to be honest, this isn't that big a deal as some of you are making it. Honestly, it's not like all of Japan will be downloading these parts causing mass amounts of money for avex--most people aren't going to be like "OMG AYU'S NEW SINGLE I CAN GET IT ON MY PHONE FIRST!"--so it's not like avex is trying to get money out of everyone.

i don't even think that many people buy remix ringtones. and also, they have multiple parts just so you can pick which part of the song you like most. and ringtones are a good way of promoting a song early.

i just don't think it's that big a deal..if they released the song in full early, then that'd be really stupid. releasing them in parts satisfies the die hard fans with out spoiling the whole single.

I don't mind that there hasn't been much/any promotions, it means ayus getting more rest this year :P

I think because word-of-mouth may be strong enough? I don't know. But I figure stuff like YouTube and Twitter will spread word quickly, and it's a lot more cost-effective.

I think this is a test drive, really. Because this is her first huge remix single since "Daybreak" (putting all versions together, we have over 10 songs! Almost like "A"!), and with the moderate success with Ayu-Mi-X 6, this is probably to see if remixes gauge well now.

And honestly, all the promotion she has been getting hasn't been helping her anyway. Her sales are still declining. If this gets them the same amount of sales, why not do it if it saves them munny?

All record companies do this with all songs..
You dont really have to buy all of the parts, and these are just ringtones.
I like that they released the parts, so if they like a part~ they can use it as a ringtone

Yeah I think that's it, the Japanese must love this kind of stuff and respond well to it. I'm sure if many of us lived in Japan or were able to get all these parts, we wouldn't be complaining.

Yeah, and it's not like it's very costly for thm to put the parts up there. It's like sunglasses or prfume in the fashion world, it's easy to produce and distribute, not very costly = accessible to a lot of people.

I suppose they are changing their marketing strategy. Previously was the ringtone a short exerpt of the song? We could always wait for the single to come out then download it into our phones, we don't have to pay for the ringtone.

Yeah.. people dont really have to buy this at all..
They are making it available so people could buy a premade version for their cell phone,
But people could always make themselves another version.
This is not greedy,, I dont think its that at all.
No one is forcing people to buy it~ because the single will come out soon.
