His name is Cao Thai Son. This guy covered "Marionette" and renamed it "Mua Thu Vang Em" (Autumn Without You), what worse is he doesn't credit Ayumi at all and on the booklet it says that the song was composed by Nhu Hong??? wtf?? i believe this is an illegal use of the song, can we report this to Avex so they can take legal actions aganst this?

A lot of Vietnamese artists cover other people's songs and don't credit them. Even if it's a good cover, I find the lack of modesty and proper crediting to be disgusting and shameful.

I just sent something to Avex. I hope it was to the right place: that website is really hard to navigate depending where you want to go. I just filled out an inquiry form half in Japanese, half in English. It says that it takes them 2-3 business days to respond, so we'll see if I get and e-mail back. :laugh

Also, I think it's hilarious that they have English versions of artists' pages but don't have an English version of the main Avex page. :laugh

it was released 2 days ago. When i heard this song i was like "OMG, he is singing Marionette" and when i looked at the CD sleeve and saw that it was composed by someone else not Ayumi I was really furious. he doesn't respect the artist at all.

Wow, they didn't even try to put their own touch to it, lol.

First of all that cover isn't good, he tried to make it hard but he finished soft. It doesn't have the feeling of Ayu's "Marionette" at all. I almost laught while listening to it. And oh well, it is soooo obvious cover that he should be ashamed of what he did, trully ^^ And it's funny that he used a song of such a popular singer so people would find it soon that he does not own copyrights of using that composition. He didn't credit composer and ayu, so he doesn't own the rights. Hilarious behaviour ^^

it's popular in Vietnam that a lot of singers use international artists' songs but didn't credit them so they don't have to pay song license so they put a random composer name to it as if it's their own song. I just couldn't stand it when they steal Ayyu's stuffs. She's like my goddes!

yep depend on you is the very first ayu's song covered by a Vnese female singer and marionette is the 2nd song. such a long gap between these 2. both are not credited. I'm a vietnamese and it's such a shame listening to these covers because the lyrics are stupid and ridiculous. no matter it's ayu's or not, this is STOLEN so it should be punished.


in vietnam, like a-teensfan said, some singers usually take other artists' works and claim at their own. or they just have to pay a very small fee so called "copyrighted fee" to "someone" apparently not the composers (it's just about 1/3 the money to buy a normal brand new song from a VNese composer! not to mention that sometimes they dont have to make the new music background, just use the instrumental versions!)

Well it is annoying to see people taking credit for stuff they did not do but I have the feeling it's a common thing to do in Asia. A lot of artists seem to "borrow" stuff and then ignore to acknowledge the original composer..

Oh, don't forget contacting Hoosbastank, the composer of the Messenger soundtrack, and the chinese composer from which GREEN's composition came from. They also had their songs ripped off by ayu's composers without credits.
