i LOVE enhacing red on graphics in general, so that's why i'm a fan of Mika Ninagawa (the photographer of the wall calendar). her use of red is AMAAAAAZING. :D

I don't know about you but I don't really like their new calendar's pics that much , it's just all over the place , colour wise & my younger sister wanted to order it locally but she changed her mind after she saw the photos
+ it's so expensive too I prefer NEWS's as they're more simple & straight to the point & they all looked great in there ANYWAY before I get egged by Kaori & Lisa (joke :lmfao) , did you guys see the latest VS ARASHI ? the Falling Pipe game was :rofl & :roflmao at maximum capacity man , poor Aiba hit his head accidentally or not when he went up to try to catch a pipe or 2 but that failed HORRIBLY Lisa I don't need you to upload part 2 of the file for me now thanks :D |
^lol - the only calendar's i liked this year was Arashi's and Kanjani8's (even though I don't really like them). Arashi's had nice pictures and Kanjani8's were natural. I haven't even bothered to DL NEWS'. :bchuck :shrug

like i said, i don't mind lip-synching, but i don't like it when it's constant. i don't care if you're an idol, but you make music and you should do what other musicians do too, which includes live performing. if TOKIO, KAT-TUN, KANJANI8 can do a lot of their material live, why can't Arashi too, you know?

The BFFs Reunite! :weep Arashi performs live most of the time. I was only pointing out their MUSIC LOVERS performances. Those are really the only instances that I can remember of them lip synching a lot. But even when they sing live it sounds great, since they've been out for longer, they're definitely much better at singing live than other groups. |

well, i can't really say anything about Arashi just yet, seeing as i haven't seen a concert. however, the few performances i've seen of them have been lip-synched or heavily back-tracked, which prompt me to ask if their concerts were the same.

So far the Time concert's my fave of the guys , tension was even up there when Nino did Niji live on the piano :smitten

i have to say Time con is pretty entertaining (...thus far. i ain't done. xD). everything flows well & there's a high amount of energy from the guys. lots of group dynamics too. which is something i'll give them props for. :yes
but too much back-track/lip-synching. there's soooooo much of it. unless their live singing as good as their album studio recording....but i doubt it. the only thing live so far is like...Sho. i'll watch it all though. it seems more exciting than NEWS con, which i haven't finished, lol. & "Niji" gorgeous. NINO DOESN'T DISAPPOINT. xD |

And I haven't seen a KAT-TUN con yet, so I can't really say if they do back tracking and lip synching either. I just know that their lives (when they are live) aren't too great either. I feel like JE artists lip synch a lot - actually, I feel like Japanese artists lip synch a lot. :yes and Iza, Now! is my fave album too! that concert is seriously great, Irene you should def. check it out. :yes Everyone should actually! bad live singing > lip-synching anyday anytime for me. at least they're attempting to do live. KT's most live con is QOP, however, it's not 100% live. more like 80%-85%. i know many japanese artists lip-synch, especially Johnny's, lol (...remember YamaPi's microphone stint for "Daite Senorita" on MS?) but i appreciate the effort of live performing nevertheless.

i've been watching AAA2 and omg. it's amazing. i can't believe what i'm saying - but it PWNS Time con soooo baad!!!!!!!! this concert is seriously amazing! the open air arena just adds so much energy! the crowd and Arashi are going INSANE!!!! this concert is so awesome~ also, i know i'm late - but i was reading the results of the drama awards and wtf. how did kami no shizuku win number one? no offense to anyone who liked it, but the votes were totally rigged omg. how can a drama with single digit ratings win best drama and best actor. uta no onii-san wasn't the best - sure, but really? it lost to kami no shizuku? :rolleyes |
i didn't even get pass episode 1 with kami no shizuku. i just didn't like it :shrug uta no onii-san was very enjoyable, so it should have gotten some awards or something (i still gotta watch the last 2 episodes though, lol)

everyone go watch/buy this DVD OK!!!! i loved the acoustic perf of Subarashiki Sekai! one of my fave songs by them! they all sounded so great w/ the live band!! and then they moved right into tomadoinagara, another of my faves! :weep this set list is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smitten also aiba played the harmonica! i was so happy omg! :D i guess that means his lungs are doing MUCH better! :yes |
there's a new preview of "smile" with actual scenes, lol. jun and yui are adorable together. but omg, they showed this one scene where jun is running in the rain at night crying, and a police car passes right by him (i think it was chasing after him). soooooo sad :weep jun looks extremely hot in the rain for some reason. same in HYD, lol.

FYI, no one takes the Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix awards that seriously since it's FAN VOTES. Maou won a lot of awards from that, but got nothing at the Television Drama Academy Awards (ROOKIES got most of the awards).

i think they're going to release a best-of (no original album), so there won't be any new "album" tracks...maybe a bonus track or something. it seems like they're heading to towards that direction, since they have 4 singles, with 2 of them being double A-sides.
...however, i don't know how they'll handle Ohno's solo song being a "single" in the album. maybe there will be a solo section somewhere with the others too. |
