which is better for you? sorry if this was posted before I searched but I didn't find one poll about it

I liked YesAsia more!
I'm a customer since 2005 and i never get dissapointed or had bad experience with it! The shipping costs from CdJapan are really expensive! I use CdJapan's only if i get bonus extras like posters they're not ailable on YesAsia! It's good too, BUT i prefer YesAsia over CdJapan!! |
I only purchase from CDJapan if they have extras with first editions that I want or if it's Utada's material to add to her Oricon. Other than that I use YesAsia because they have better prices and by better I mean cheaper. CDJapan is just too high.
Both have good service though. I honestly don't know who to vote for. I'm going to have to think about this more. Hopefully I don't forget and never come back to this thread. |
I was always a Yesasia guy but I had some baad experiences and now im purely CDJapan unless Yesasia has something CDJ dont

YesAsia has free shipping (of course, they increase the prices a few bucks, but I don't want to pay over 40 for EMS shipping). I can wait a week, so saving a lot of money on shipping by just waiting is nice. YesAsia is my favorite c:

CDJapan, yesasia's standart shipping cost to my country is really high so CDJapan's total prices for me are less than yesasia.
Also CDJapan's arrive faster even with strandart shipping. |
i use cdjapan. my order gets here much faster and i've never had problems with them. i still use yesasia to buy korean stuff, but the last two times i've ordered something it took at least a week and a half to get here, despite the fact that i paid for faster shipping on the first order :no

CDJapan delivers anything I order faster than Yesasia, that it (CDJapan) goes towards Oricon, and they tell you how many limited versions are in stock are the reasons I use CDJapan. If something on CDJ is too expensive, I use HMV. Gets to my house a little later but hey, it counts towards Oricon as well.

I've used both, but CDJ's shipping's a little too much for me, and YesAsia sells tour goods, and shipping's cheaper..

Free shipping, big offer and I had never bad experiences with it. On the contrary... a while ago I bought I am... from YesAsia and I get the first press version with long obi! I think it was early 2008. I love YesAsia for this. CDJapan is good as well and offer some advantages (counts for Oricon charts for example). But I prefer YesAsia. |

CDjapan. Been a loyal customer since 2007~ their shipping is quite expensive for 700 yen for Air Mail for 1 CD but heck, the packaging is very secure and I've never had a CD cracked ever.
Before 2007, I've been using YesAsia and there were cases of cracked CDs. So yea, CDjapan for me <3 |

I vote for CDJapan . The shipping's quite high but my items get to me real fast , about 4-5 days by normal airmail which's fantastic In the Other category , that will be HMV HK & help that I sought from my Taiwanese & Japanese friends from time to time :laugh |

I have had one bad experience with YesAsia, but it was with a Hong Kong press, so I just made sure after that I only buy Japan press. |
CD Japan - some items there have really lower price than on YA. For example Vivi Diary 36$ vs 57$ but they also are sold out faster.

I will only use CDJapan if a CD comes with a poster I really want. For everything else it's YA or HMV JP.
* oh I'm actually starting to use CDjapan sometimes instead of HMV jp cause I'm kinda banned from using my Dad's credit card...ugh I wish HMV offered paypal as a payment. |

YESASIA, coz i NEVER had any bad experiences with YA.
And they have great offers too for OS press as i can't raelly buy Japan Press because they are costly to me. CDJapan has Japan Press at a reasonable price, BUT shipping Too Expensive. Would rather use the Shipping Charges to get another CD from YA and get Free Shipping |

Its really hard for me. I think I like YesAsia a tiny bit more than CDJ. I think its the concert goods that won me over. XD

I picked third option, "other".
YesAsia is a bit slow with the "searching from suppliers" thing, and sometimes take them so long for them to get back to you to just to tell you that they can't find it. :/ CDJapan has really extremely high prices for shipping, so I don't think I am going to buy from them anytime soon. I choose other - HMV HK. They have really affordable prices, and their shipping times are good. ^^ |
CDJapan. it's important for my items to arrive in good condition, and yesasia doesn't do that. also, i heard yesasia folds posters. i'd rather pay more for shipping to have something arrive in perfect condition then go with free shipping and have the case cracked or a poster folded

I find that YesAsia has a wider variety while CDJapan's is quite limited. I've never had a problem with YesAsia and their delivery came earlier than I expected when I ordered from them. Plus, I find that YesAsia's website makes it easier to search for music compared to CDJapan. |

I find that the shipping costs are pretty good as the AUD has a better standing against the JPY than UDS to AUD :lech It's sometimes cheaper to get from YA but only when the dollar crashes :( I like how CDJ guarantees FP where YA doesn't. I've never had issues with an order from CDJ but YA's cancelled items I wanted and generally ships slowed too =| CDJ totally gets my vote!! |

They're also very friendly and answer your questions quickly, if you send them a mail! My things also always arrived in VERY good condition! I'll maybe try CDJapan one day, but until now I'm very satisfied with YA, so I don't feel the need to do this!! |

YA aren't bad, but their shipping is much slower now, it used to reach me within 5 to 10 days, but it's now at least 8 to 3 weeks! I had gotten my kuu's Yume No Uta cd case crack, it was horrible, it can't hold the cd anymore! Before i open the cd, i can feel the CD clanging around! My friend had once got 2 missing orders, although they want to resend her the items, but they were already sold out, it's the AT08 ayupans and the NEXT LEVEL hairgums!!!!! She was super pissed off, coz when her NEXT LEVEL hairgums did not arrive in 2 weeks, she send them an email(they were still available back then!), but YA took 3 days to reply her mail and ask her to wait for 2 more weeks first, so she waited to find that her order didn't came and they aren't in stock anymore, when she demand YA to compensate her, all they told her was to use register mail in the future to prevent lost mail! but this won't happen if YA just resend her the items in the first place! anyway, my friend had lost hope in YA's, now i'm helping her to get from middleman through mumo instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- CDJapan shipping is expensive, but SUPER FAST! if it's a preorder item and using EMS, it normally reach me on the release date, safe and sound with supreme packaging. Even their regular shipping will reach me within 4 to 10 days with great packaging. As for first press items, they state the EXACT number of the remaining amount on the site when it's running low, so you will know whether you get the first press or not. Compare to YA, you either have to order super early to secure the first press or email them to ask. oh, and YA's email replies feel so robot like....you can ask anyone who have major problems or enquries about their order at YA, they should receive those 'standard replies'..... nowadays, i only use YA to get OS press of cd or anime or tour goodies, but i'm now a bit scared about my friend's experience, 2 lost mails of [sold-out] items!!!!! that sounds bad.... |

CDJapan for me but their shipping can be really X____X for me to handle
if I want to order bulk items , I go with HMV Japan & ironically , CDJapan's airmail charges sometimes can be a lot more expensive than HMV Japan's EMS shipping charges o_O for OS presses , I go for HMV HK as they're great . If not I ask my Taiwanese friend Cliff to get certain Taiwan presses for me , it's usually 1st press stuff anyway |

My first choice of buying CDs online is CDJ.
Because it has a fast shipping and reasonable fixed prices. And the points discount is a plus! The downside of it was the ridiculously expensive shipping! Why should I pay $10 shipping for just one CD only single worth $10 too. ">_> I always go there to see if the first press is available. Yesasia in other hand, I love the free shipping and the freebies. I love the toy capsules they give away and sometimes, they had this discount every month or something. I only use YA if CDJ ran out of first press I wanted. So, I'll go for CDJ since there are lots of stuffs that I found on CDJ that I didn't find in YA like the CD case cover. |

I want to say yesasia but idk. Half the time they don't have what I'm looking for. like shock -unmei cd/dvd. last time i checked, cdjapan had it in stock and yesasia didn't. and cd/dvd past/future. (again, last time i checked) cdjapan had it in stock AND first press, and yesasia didn't.
Yesasia has free shipping, but I realized every item is roughly 5 dollars more expensive than cd japan, so in the end it all works out the same for me. and alot of times yesasia doesn't have the cover art for their stuff while cd japan does and includes alot of information on the items as well. personally I'd say yesasia, but honestly I have to go with cdjapan. |
