ayu albums hard to find in Singapore cd stores
 

As the title suggests, is there any of her albums that you guys think are now totally unavailable even in our cd stores?? (eg: CD RAMA, MJ, SEMBAWANG..) From what i notice, It has to be her earlier remix albums (of course)and albums such as A Song for XX, LOVEppears, Duty etc etc..

I believe they still sell them, just that like you said, they are indeed hard to find for the older stuff. For sembawang I used to always go to their website and email them about which ayumi hamasaki items they still have available and they will list out everything including the outlets that have them :)

you can buy them from people in the forum in the fansite section . make sure to check their feedback for safety . lots of people sell authentic here ( im part of them and i ship worldline) and i sure other people will be happy to send cd to singapour.

yeah, same here in Malaysia. Ah, CD Rama really suck that's truth... they take forever to arrive...

my younger sister & I have China presses of MY STORY & RAINBOW that we got from Sebawang & both were really dirt cheap

at that time when I started my ayumi/jpop music journey I wouldn't have known about such things at all

I remember buying LOVEppears, Memorial address, Duty from Yishuns' SEMBAWANG MUSIC a few years back, but, the quality seems to be just fine for me tho.. :yes

^ no, there are different qualities, like OS press booklets printing aren't as good as the JP press

for A COMPLETE, the OS press had ayu's hair looking green~

You know what, the Chinese version of Ayu's Duty really sucks..... They changed the color of the cover of the CD... I hate that labor.:(

oh sorry, i should've elaborated further. yah i mean, the audio quality is as good as the original imo.. as for the cover, i cant say the same.. :no hehehehe especially Duty.. pink cd?? ugh!! :eviltongu

the original Duty, be it JPN or OS press has a golden tinge all over but the China press looks plain..

Warner Music S'pore are stingy when comes to the quality of ayumi albums that're printed locally here (that's what I found out from some S'poreans here)

for me it's the way that they promote ayumi & let alone any avex artistes on here :grumpy

because the CD i bought was like the same colour as Ayu promoted... so i think i bought the JP version?

does anyone knows if cd rama at orchard mrt will ever come back? i miss the posters they give out. this sucks. used to have every poster for her albums.

oh.. because i started to buy her album years ago, and my friend bought from that cd shop, then i bought from cd rama. but cd rama gave me a poster but that cd shop did not gave my friend a poster, and she in the end could not refund the cd so she exchanaged the cd for another, and bought ayu's album from cd rama to get the poster. so from then on i always buy from cd rama.. and some cd rama stores dont give posters de.. very strange.

i was just curious how come no poster for NEXT LEVEL.

I went to hmv a few weeks ago, and I saw the A single (japan version). Is it considered rare to find it here? Don't know why but I saw quite a number of ayu's albums in hmv that day, those older ones such as I am..., Duty. those are local versions but I'm quite surprised to find it there.

I was at the Heeren outlet on Fri & I didn't see the A single but I did saw the CD only of (miss)understood & it has the photobook DAMMIT

^Well HMV do import some Japan version Ayu singles and A is one of them :) Most of the time I see it there though so I wouldn't say it's rare to find it here.

you mean they still have it there?! i remember going to HMV HEEREN early last year (2008 around Chinese New Year time..) and i saw one copy of 'A'. either it's been left untouched or got ppl buy already and they stock more.. :)

so PCDL is not instores yet? i cant find it when i went to cd stores today. that cdrama young lady give me that "what are you talking about" look. i hate that.

because Warner S'pore will import stock of it from Hong Kong , it will take sometime & things will not be delayed so long if not for the censorship board here :eviltongu

I would like to go to HMV Heeren tomorrow to check out for OS version for A Complete -All Singles- and (miss)understood albums cuz i didnt get the chance to purchase them in the past. But i'm afraid that there isn't any more stock/production for these 2 albums. Does anyone know if HMV still have the OS version of these 2 albums? Or any other places?

I was there 2 weeks ago & I did saw a CD only copy of (miss)understood with the photobook but not the CD + DVD .

A COMPLETE - They don't have the S'pore press anymore (which has the box & photobook) , in comes the HK press & they stuck the PG sticker in the front & on the side of the OBI oh god

but you will not find a boxset nor the photobook in here . Instead it's those 'fat' casings .

Once the S'pore press of A COMPLETE's more or less out of print , I don't think Warner Music will manfacture more of it now

Oh no...that's sad :( I went to HMV Citylink just now instead of HMV Heeren (cuz i was going to see the cosplayers at License 2 Play Gaming & Electronics Fair) and i managed to find the A COMPLETE album like what murasakinohana has said. But i didnt check out the origin/type of press of the album and the price was $55.95...which is too expensive for me. So i didnt buy...i have made an enquiry to Sembawang Music..wondered if they still have stocks for these 2 albums or not...

Oh i see...i should have bought these 2 albums earlier. :thud Now it's too late for me...is there any other alternative? Any other options that meets my requirements - affordable & good quality ?

I'm not sure about the exact price that i saw...but i'm sure that it costs $50+ . Online shopping? To be honest, i had never tried online shopping before...so i had no idea where to start from and what to do.

i think it's HK press lah..:yes ya quite expensive as compared to the ''boxed-up'' version which i paid like $40++ at JURONG EAST CD-RAMA..

Oh when did you buy the album at Jurong East CD-RAMA?? I gave my contact to them last month...asking them to check out for me from Warner Music. But there isn't any news from them since then...and Sembawang Music replied to me that they had no stock.

i live at Jurong East and i went to IMM CD-RAMA a couple of weeks ago and saw a few copies (maybe 3??) of the box sets. But that was a few weeks ago lah.. here's their number for you guys to check 65146746

^ From what I know, it's not going to be out until a little later because since Warner imports the DVDs from Hong Kong and Hong Kong is currently making improvements to the DVD it's going to take quite a while :shrug

ahhh great. because some previous versions of dvd i bought, i didn't think it really belong to dvd quality, more of between vcd and dvd. -_-

but its not of the qualities of the movies dvds. they are so much better. >_< vcd are of course horrible, but i wonder why we dont think of it befor dvd came out. and i do think that when she had the vcd and dvd at teh same time(also a few years ago), i think that they purposely made the vcd version a little worse than the normal ones so the sales of dvd would rise and people would buy dvd and they can cancel out vcds to lower costs.

but i dont care, i just want it to be in sg soon! >_<
