I think I heard someone said that Ayu's mom is the manager of her own chocolate shop?

I heard a beauty salon. :)

RikkuChii 29th April 2009 01:37 AM

That's her mom?!

Woah..

*Petit* 29th April 2009 01:39 AM

I don't think that's her father. No on knows his identity.

Her family consists of her mother and also her closest staff/friends. =)

:laugh And I heard it was a clothes shop. Although, I'm pretty sure it's called hanabi. She used some of the stuff in the MY STORY photoshoot.

Her family also had her grandmother, but she passed away.

I heard that Ayumi wasn't so close to her mother?

EDIT: I can already tell this thread is going to become rumour central. XD

LOL? 3 people with 3 different shops? @___@

I'm like 99.9999% sure that her mother owns a flower shop called HANA-BI =) Play on words (hana is flower)

i totally agree this...
so many rumors going on~

emi♡ 29th April 2009 08:10 AM

Well apparently Ayu's mom isn't like a "mommy" type, as in taking care of her.

But ayu really admires her mother and has said before.

I think they are very close, but more like best girlfriends or something.

Mariko seems so bautiful..but that's a huge difference among her past picture and the latest!! many liftings seem to be done in the years!
Anyway now they seem sisters for sure..

The man in the pics posted before was rumoured to be her father since she was abandoned by him (it's not true she never met him but she was too young when they lived together)

chloeM 29th April 2009 04:02 PM

yeah... she looked like she had face lifts... well, she's rich... but ayu and her are like, not close right?

hayasaki 29th April 2009 04:27 PM

^Yep. I heard its true... but during GUILTY era, i think i've read somewhere i can't remember that Ayu loves to spend more time with her mommy more than the past years. so i think, their relationship is now different than before.

zyoeru 29th April 2009 08:45 PM

Wow. Her mum grows younger in each photo I see. XD

Mother like daughter huh? XD

But, the man in the old photo. I want to believe it's her dad. But surely if it was he'd have been ratted out by the Japanese tabloids?

Andrenekoi 29th April 2009 09:16 PM

He left when ayu was 5... So, that could be him...

mimika 29th April 2009 11:12 PM

that's her mom? doesn't she looks too young though....??

i heard that's her dad too...and i think he kinda looks like her too

JackieRos 30th April 2009 12:21 AM

i thought she was only 3 when her dad left them

and she talked i an interview that ayu remembers her dad when she and him went fishing and ayu fell on to the sea and also ayu doesn't want to know nothing about her father
so i'm not going to mention him no more whoever he is >.>

I think her mother and her are quite close. If I'm not mistaken, Ayu mentioned in a TA message that when she was sick her mommy came over to visit and made her soup, just like any other mother would do! :D

Besides that, she also takes care of Ayu's dog, CREA, and even has a blog about it. www.ameblo.jp/hanabi-crea The blog was revealed when Ayu mentioned in a TA message that someone was impersonating her because of her dog's and candles' pictures, and it turned out to be her own mother XD

chloeM 30th April 2009 04:42 AM

That woman on the left is probably not her mother. Someone just thought it could be her? :shrug I think she looks too different that she could be the same woman. The only confirmed photos of her are the pics from her blog and this video. Woman on the family portrait could also be her... (she looks quite a same as Ayu's mother from the video, doesn't she?).

JackieRos 2nd May 2009 07:10 PM

her fingers are not showing her face

WHERE IS THE FULL EPISODE OF THAT?

asmAyumi1992 3rd May 2009 07:18 AM

I think that's her mommy.

SunshineSlayer 3rd May 2009 07:29 AM

Firstly, that family portrait photo has never had a confirmed source. No one actually knows if that is even Ayu in the picture - therefore the photos validity is questionable. And even if it is, there has been no confirmation of who the man in the picture is. Another thing that makes me question the validity of this photo is the fact that her mother looks much older in 1976 than she does now - no matter what, Botox is not going to make you look younger than you did 30 years ago.(if you assume that the 1976 photo is actually valid)

Secondly, to use that pic of a random person at her concert as proof of her mother is laughable - who once again, is not even seated in the VIP section, where someone like Ayu's Mom would definitely be. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't even look like the blog and domoto kyoudai pictures that we know are in fact Ayu's mother.

Next time I go to Japan, I'm finally going to visit Ayu's mother's store and find out what she really looks like. :) I didn't even realize until recently that the store is only a couple of blocks from where I stay at. I've walked by it before and didn't even notice!

It's been common knowledge that Ayumi's mother opened a shop called Hanabi. It was opened back in 2002 I think. The shop mostly sells things like flowers and chocolate. She runs it along with the man that she is supposedly dating - who is also the man that is supposedly Ayu's ex boyfriend from a long time ago. Twisted much? I just never knew what the address of the place was until recently. (I found it on a Japanese message board) It is located in a very high end neighborhood that many celebrities live at - Ayu must have been supporting her mother monetarily in order for her to not only open a shop, but to do so in that neighborhood. I google mapped it and was surprised to find that it is actually only a few minutes walk from where I stay and on a street that I've been down numerous times before. How I didn't notice it, I'll never know - I just simply didn't even think to look for it since I didn't think it was anywhere near where I was.

Yes, it is located in a high end neighborhood. It's kind of a center for foreign diplomats and what not around there - it has a high concentration of foreigners world-wide that live there which is probably why it is a popular spot for Japanese celebrities to live as well. (they can walk around more freely in a more foreign neighborhood where they aren't likely to be recognized.) I believe I mentioned on this forum a long time ago that I actually ran into Akanishi Jin of KAT-TUN on the street once. (back in 2006) I also have heard first hand stories that Namie shops all the time at the local super market - doesn't wear makeup or anything and has no security around her, she just shops normally. That always gave me a positive impression of her.

Wow.. its like 200 dollars for preserved flowers O______O... Gawwwwd. even Ayu's mom is able to collaborate with Hello Kitty! It at least looks nice for 630 dollars; flowers in a snow globe are not bad. =p

There's also photos of the shop, and it doesn't seem too impressive; I'm guessing the biggest draw is that this store is owned by Ayumi's mom. Other than that..I don't really see any point to go into this store..it kind of looks like a wedding planner store from the outside

Quite a few Tokyo stores look that way, probably due to the limited space for things. The most expensive stores tend to have the least amount of stuff in them. :) $20.00 dollars for a single rose head! :thud

I smiled when I saw that. :) I've never seen a street there named Crea, so I'm guessing they own the whole building and named it Crea - makes me wonder what is on the other floors. Perhaps her mother lives above the shop?

I was thinking that too, but I expected more, since her mom probably got a big start-up from Ayu. Maybe a nicer wall colour or shelves or something...Not so white and plain-looking.

Her mom likes CREA (the dog) right? So it might be cause of the dog that she named it Crea Hiroo. I remember she pretended she was CREA (Her mom's kind of weird when you think about it.. XD..) She might have also named it CREA just to get more publicity for her store from Ayu fans too =P

Do you know anything else about the boyfriend?? =P It's kind of interesting

Hazard 7th May 2009 07:39 PM

What exactly does it mean by 'preserved'? Do the flowers last for a very long time?

Also, on the chocolates page, are the little sqaure candies fudge of some kind?

krazeyo 8th May 2009 05:23 AM

^Yep, the flowers have been dried, so they last for a long time =P It's purely for decoration purposes (I think of HANABI as a gift shop, since no one would really buy any of that for themselves)

The chocolates to me look like mochi, but I'm not too sure, perhaps someone can translate it. I doubt you get a toothpick for eating chocolates.

Holy crap! That is expensive! But, I guess when you have celebrity connections, you can charge that much. Plus, you said that its a high-end neighborhood...

Am I misreading the prices, or are they charging about $50 for a candle? How frikkin big is the candle?! And then the prices for flowers... And about $13 for 4 chocolates?! :thud :thud :thud

I'd wanna visit it though. It looks nice. It seems smaller that I was expecting... I'd have to buy something cheap... so that narrows down about 95% of the merchandise...

Here's a translated page from Google Translate. Its a rough translation, though... http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0=

It looks like the squares of chocolate are fudge. It says "soft, raw chocolate", but I'm not sure. Again, its a rough translation, so you have to decipher and interpret almost all of it.
