Himeka Shirosaki: a question point
 

Hello everybody..

since a few days ago I never heard about this himegyaru, Himeka Shirosaki, but thanks to an user who asked about her, I discovered her blog

In fact, she's Ayu impersonator: she wears like Ayu, have the same haistyles, the same huge eyes (though Himeka's ones scare me a lot) and she acts like Ayu performing her songs (for ex. enjoy her version of JEWEL on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtvmRoAZRBc

In the end..what do you think about her? Do you think it’s positive for Ayu to have such an imitator? Please set your thought free.

is she famous or something? I just wondered coz of there are alot of ppl taking her photo.

Wow...Umm, she looks like Ayu but only when you squint your eyes and play pretend. ^_^' But she's definitely got Ayu's fashion sense down pack.

I love Himeka's blog, I read it all the time. Her eyes are very scary and she doesn't look like Ayu, but she's good with the fashion side of Ayu and I think she's rather interesting.

really fake to me..i guess she uses coloured lenses too and this may make her glance look bigger and scary..they look someway insane though --> :tired

guys, just read modern mags like Popteen. in recent May issue they dedicated 4 pages to a girl which wants to be like Ayu in 2000

lol, well, I think most himegyaru look like that, so technically they're not truly imitating Ayu or anything. Although the himegyaru look is often credited to be influenced by Ayu, I think that's only to a certain extent, and even though their style is big eyes with false eyelashes and big-eye contact lenses, it doesn't mean they always strive to look like Ayu. Because big eyes is pretty normal for girls to strive for, especially in gyaru fashion. For example, one of their trends is big princess hair, and Ayu doesn't do big hair very often. :P (Although she has done it in certain ocassions, but not to the same degree as regular himegyaru.)

I don't know if you're referring to Nana-chan in Popteen, but I don't think her look is really that influenced by Ayu, because honestly, they all influence each other and the inspiration doesn't always come from Ayu! This is just the gyaru look!

She looks so old...no impersonator should be so much older than the impersonated person xD Also her eyes are scary

Though it's not common, i think it's not something new for the japanese. They even have a show devoted to it... Personally, i feel Himeka should walk the talk and support ayu in sales haha... Impersonating ayu is a hobby i suppose. Don't suppose it's unhealthy or anything like that unless it becomes an obsession or delusion.

Himeka isn't an Ayu impersonator as far as I know. Well, she wasn't as I was following her 2006~2007.
She is a well known japanese model, former model of Ageha magazine.
She's a huge fan of Ayu, she already was at her time at Ageha.
I was so surprised when I saw the thread about her and her blog at AHS not long ago and somebody saying she impersonates Ayu. I laughed so hard! XD
It's possible that she's now an impersonator, but I highly doubt that's official.
I think she's just a big fan and gets her inspiration from Ayu.

You can only call somebody an impersonator when he or she dress and act like the idol to be recognized as this idol in public.
So Himeka really isn't one, she's still her own character.

Exactly! Just because someone's blonde and has big eyes from makeup doesn't mean she's automatically impersonating Ayu. It just doesn't look like it at all that she's impersonating Ayu in the current photos of her blog. She just looks like a regular hime-kei gyaru to me. She may have imperonsated Ayu in certain ocassions before, but it doesn't mean she does it all the time or anything.

she looks a bit like ayu when you don't look closely to her pictures.
it's her hime gyaru make-up that doesn't work (her eyes)
because ayu's eyes are not like that

I think if she wants fame she should create her own identity instead of stealing/imitating someone elses. Especially if that someone is our dearest Ayu.

Actually i follow her blog, and as for these people saying she is not an Ayu impersonator.. well i have seen on her blog and around the net that she performs and does concerts singing Ayu's songs and dressing like her, it seems to be her job.. does that not make her an impersonator? Mabey she is more like an Ayu cover act, than an actual 'impersonator' but she definately does do this for a job, she is not just a random hime-gyaru.. even if you guys dont like her or think she looks like Ayu.. its just a fact..

There is nothing wrong with this, many people do this kind of thing as job, or a hobby, have you guys not seen Abba and Elvis cover acts before?

In any case i think on account of this, she has become a minor celebrity in her own right, i saw the other day on lolita brand Angelic Pretty's website that she has designed or has her name attached to a new range of dresses..

starting she started to sound like ayu, but another few seconds, she doesn't... her hand movement were like *sideways* *down* *sideways* *down*
ayu's movement are like, up and slightly above her head, do some waving and pointing then rest her arms for a while....

it's not like she's the only impersonator, there's probably a lot others for ayu and for other artists

Reading some articles here and there in the web it seems that after quitting modelling for Ageha she has made impersonating Ayu her own work..anyway that's only my feeling about it, maybe i'm going wrong :innocent

but, looking at her blog, it seems that she's really Ayu-aholic..and maybe it isn't so strange..mostly if I think how many times I went to the hairstylist asking for Ayu's haircut or buying something just to feel into ayu-mood.

I *still* wouldn't call it a job though. Does she actually make a lot of money out of dressing up as Ayu? I don't follow her blog but I just can't imagine her earning money from being Ayu. Saying she impersonates Ayu as a job is... well, like you said, she's a minor celebrity because she's a model and not because she impersonates Ayu. Her name is original and has substance to it on its own, so she's not Himeka - the Ayu impersonator. Ayu's name doesn't follow her name around, does it?

I know Tsubasa Masuwaka is such a big Ayufan as well, and she keeps her look as Ayu during SEASONS era

so the may issue had a girl who has written to Popteen about her love for Ayu and her admiration for Tsubasa as Ayu's follower, lol :)

her eyes seem more bigger every blog she posts
and it seems that her eyes look as though they are bloodshot from a far away
it is quite scary
but she seems to be....stuck in the ayu 2007 long blonde hair fase
even though long blonde hair is part of some himegyaru outfit, she does seem to be stuck in that ayu time period
she does sing ayu songs, but in her costumes and style she adds her own little shirosaki style

about the eyes..I agree they look VERY AWFUL & SCARY

it's because, well...the problem is that she places fake eyelashes not where they shold be (on the eyelid), but a bit lower, as to say it...on meat, LOL?

Impersonators actually can make a lot of money.

They're hired for the events the perform at, usually through a talent agency that specializes in that field.

You wouldn't dress up as someone, go out and perform as them, act like them for hours, and not get paid, right?

Think of it this way. Hiring an impersonator is much cheaper than hiring the actual person. It also gives people who are unable to see the real thing an alternative that is very similar. It's not nearly as negative as some would think.

I go to her blog every once in a while and I notice that she also puts on shows that aren't centered around Ayumi.


Regarding her eyes: If she actually followed the correct lining of her lower lid she would have normal eye structure. She's applying her make-up poorly and someone near her needs to tell her so. Poor thing.

Also her hair pieces look to be synthetic which is pathetic.

She sang JEWEL but her voice sounded the same as Ayus in 2000 and 2001 :laugh (there were some moments where it was like JEWEL studio version though ^^)

Wow she certainly looks a bit like Ayu doesn't she? Her eyes ARE really big though O.O...it's a little creepy lol. And I agree about the JEWEL performance, she needed to use more vibrato :yes.

Speaking of which, I thought that really was Ayu in that pic that Bigtop posted! The resemblance is amazing in that one!!!

Himeka Shirosaki is a famous Ayu's impersonator imo. I think she's a model.. About her is always in AHS threads imo.

She´s just a fan....a crazy fan jaja

Follow-up: Maybe the picture in the past wasn't Himeka Shirosaki after all - this is Himeka right now, and she's still in the "2007 specs"...

Her hair is quite still the same (back to 2007!) at a time when the real Ayumi Hamasaki is still changing around with her hair, now short...

if she wants to impersonate ayu , i think it will be best if she clear those eye bags under her eyes.. it look so unlike of ayu.. >__<

I don't think those are the kind of eye bags that you can get rid of without surgery? I could be wrong.
