Sichuan News Network (四川新闻网) reporting - J-Pop Empress Hamasaki Ayumi have a very close relationship with her manager and boss Max Matsuura, the powerful president of Avex Group.



11 years ago, Matsuura not only offered young Hamasaki a record deal, he also offered his mouth and tongue to the newborn star.

«FLASH» had planned to publish a series of recently leaked private photos and documents in the latest version of the magazine, but did not print the edition after pressure from Avex Group and Matsuura himself.

A person nicknamed «Pupa» says that Hamasaki and Matsuura are still very close friends, and that the leaked pictures originally origin from a party in Matsuura apartment in connection with the million achievement of Hamasaki's debut album «A song for xx» in 1999.

At this time it was deep love between the couple, and even with friends as the spectators Hamasaki and Matsuura did not manage to keep fingers away from each other, and show their happines.

The relationship lasted from winter 1999, to the end of August the same year. In this period Hamasaki lived in Matsuura's apartment located at Rappongi, Tokyo. But the relationship was kept strictly secret, only the closest friends and family were aware of the situation.

In April this year «FRIDAY» magazine was scheduled to publish a photographic special regarding Hamasaki tittled «In the Chamber of Secrets», featuring leaked pictures from Hamasaki's new apartment located in Tokyo, together with pictures from a never published photobook featuring Hamasaki's former long-time boyfriend Nagase Tomoya. Also this time Matsuura and Avex Group prevented the magazine to be printed, but some of the pictures leaked and was later published on webservers outside of Japan.

A source says that Matsuura is furious. He claimed that it has been a series of deliberately violation against Hamasaki and her privacy. It is very likely suspect photos from Avex internal outflow, and it is likely that an internal investigation will be initiated.

Honestly...the story is so old that the magazine could save the image of both. Now that Ayu is single and doesn't have a new partner they just need some gossip to fill in their blind pages.

Honestly, this rumor has been going around in Japan for a LOOOOONG time. Could be true, or not, who knows. If real proof does come out one day though, it would be real bad news for her career. (most people would say that as a result of it, she received preferential treatment in Avex) If that is her in the picture, it looks like around the time of the Whatever period. The guy in the photo is definitely Max.

One thing that is true though, is that there was a planned photobook of her and Nagase of which a few pictures leaked in 2004 (and it showed her tattoo). Everyone thought it was fake because people were so against the idea of her having a tattoo at the time.

Yup you're right. I wouldn't mind seeing what really happened in the past. Ayu's always been about "being honest and 100% yourself" so let's see if she practices what she preaches if these get leaked. If she can stand in front of the Japanese public and say "Yes, I dated my manager, do you have a problem with that? If so, deal with it." then that would be so fierce and such a Madonna-esque moment and I would have so much respect for her

Meh...that was then and this is now. It would probably have more serious implications if that picture was taken in the year of '09, and not '99. Then again, if it has to do with her success and popularity, then perhaps the implications are just as serious now. She might have received preferential treatment but that can only get you so far...wouldn't be right to assume she got this far on someone else's influence alone.

Perhaps they are both doing everything in their power to stop the leak of these pictures because they don't want to be misunderstood...especially with the way people jump on w/e leads they can get their hands on these days. The point is, if its ever completely proven that she was, then yes it would be a big deal. It wouldn't matter if its still going on or not. As I said before, it would raise a lot of issues in terms of preferential treatment and then even the somewhat coup of Max/Ayu vs. Avex's board of directors and President back in 2004 might be brought up as a major issue as well. (the media would probably find some kind of connection between the two events) All would be to the detriment of the amount of respect for Ayu in the eyes of the general public and probably many fans as well. I've already seen several Japanese fans actually express that this was the reason they quit being a Hamasaki fan, even though its never been 100% confirmed. (as I said, this rumor has been prominent in Japan for a looong time)

^It's basically her exact look for the Whatever tv promotions. Which was released only a few weeks after her debut album, so it fits within the timeline of this photo supposedly coming from a celebration party for her first albums success.

^It had to have been either an employee of Avex or Friday. Friday never actually published this article, and I think as long as they don't, the damage to Ayu will be pretty minimal.(if anything, cause this isn't exactly 'new') If Friday does one day actually publish everything they supposedly have, then expect a hailstorm.

I mean, what if it got out that say, Simon Cowell was sleeping with the contestant who won American Idol. I would imagine that would not look very good for either of them.

I only said there was no real proof that the general public in Japan is even discussing this right now. And I am not going to take what SunshineSlayer said for granted. For all we know she was prolly kissing him on his cheek in that photo as his mouth would have to be on the very far right + even if she french kissed him, they might've been dead drunk. Considering none of us knows what actually happened there is no need to judge her nor her career, but then again some people simply can't wait for something like this to happen, so they could poop all over Ayu's head.

Well, I'd have to say that overseas fans seem to be a lot more optimistic, but I guess with all the people saying: "Hey, did you know that I heard that she.." in Japan.. it makes sense that people would be like that. A lot of the Koreans I know seem to somehow ~know~ that she's 'plastic' even though they don't really even know who she is.
