The others are a bit meh, especially the last one... I don't like that facial expression at all :no

She looks very tired in the eyes....I'd say that it's definitely time for an extended rest period. The outfits are okay, but I don't understand the concept of it. It's still summer so why all the little black dresses...Then again, this is for September and not August so...

Overall it's a little dull.

I've been a long term fan, and I have never seen Ayumi's face change so much (speaking of her Avex days only). Her facial contours, her nose, her eyes, her lips, they have all changed. I seriously can't recognize her, but oh well. She still looks pretty, I guess, but it's a different woman.

...and I have stopped fooling myself that it's photoshop, because she consistently looks like this now, and I highly doubt it's consistent photoshop to tweak her face to look like that every time.

The cover outfit is really cool. It seems like she combined the rocker chick look with that cocktail dress. I would have loved to see the full outfits of her other pictures too. She actually looks pretty lolita-ish in the last one, and not much eye make up too. That's probably why she looks quite different.

i used to look forward to her magazine scans but i guess i should just stop now lol. it's like it's not even her.

in last year , there where maybe 1 shoot that she was not 'so overblurred'
she looks like a doll, not human. Her skin is too perfect. Only 1st 'rock' picture looks quite natural.

i really don't like this... it hardly even looks like her. she used to have such cute photoshoots and in these she just looks like the girls in those gyaru magazines minus the dark tan. she looks like she's trying so hard to look as young as possible that it loses the essence of it being an ayu picture.

I actually think she looks good in these mag scans...I guess its the more natural make-up and expressions. She also looks more like herself in these scans than other pics of her recently. (Vivi, dandy daddy, a-nation) Why is shimomura still around...>__>

I don't think it's the matter of capturing what Ayu looks like, but rather Ayu does not look like herself anymore. I am comparing old magazine scans from 2002-2007 and she looks extremely different, even in the same poses and expressions.

Thank you! I am relieved that I'm not the only one who notices this... I used to PM another member who also felt her nose changed, it felt like we were the only two who noticed, when the rest of AHS went "she looks the same."

gahhh *tears to my eyes* I am not crazy anymore. You see it too?

She looks like she broke into an Upper Eastside matron's closet in the last picture.

Still don't like the hair color (Ayu, either darken or lighten a shade, right now it just looks a bit mousy) and wish the bangs would be more layer, but I love the outfits (although I wish they would have went with a different color dress or jacket, but they did a good job with accessorizing the outfit).

I wouldn't say extremely different, but subtlely different in many areas. I've noticed it as well, but can't exactly pinpoint things other than just a general feeling that she looks a bit different than usual - even in the casual pics shot from her concert tour.

sleepy Ayu with too much photoshop, unfortunately. i would love, just once, to see some high-res (as in, not the pics from her phone) pictures of Ayu that haven't been tampered with. people who shop these photoshoots act like social conceptions will collapse should we see a woman who isn't perfectly fake.

yeah i don't get it.. it ISN'T her. if anyone wants to see ayu i guess you're just going to have to look at her TA magazines or some diary entries. but beware, she actually looks 30! she even has a couple wrinkles..some of you may not be able to handle it.

hmm I actually like the last picture the most LOL... there's something that makes me like it. :shrug
