Oh wow! Ayu still loves being w/o makeup. I remember watching the "Scholar! Nu" video of her prancing around a pool in a bikini from her teenage pre-Avex days AIDORU era, and during the interview, or rather they give her a word/topic and she says first thing that comes up, the topic of "makeup" came up and she said "kirai (I hate it)". Haha! She's still the same young girl inside. And for the topic of "boys" she says "ayu to issho (same as Ayu)".

These series of posts made me happy!

*gasp* she mentions masks to make the face "small face"--kogao... I want!!! So is that what she's been doing? Her face is appearing more kogao than ever.

It appears to be the beginning, because she gives a self intro while walking in a wooden building. The talk segment is near the end. She is sitting under trees. I found this clip from jpopsuki.com.



Ah... Ayumi! You make me so confused sometimes. I think she shouldn't have said she isn't interested in makeup... because she is Rimmel's spokesperson! That's so awkward. And as for me, the reason I love makeup now is because of Ayu (used to never wear it)... she got me interested in makeup and hairstyling. After thinking about her comment, it makes me wonder: is her image just the result of makeup artists? I thought she at least had some interest... if not then I'm actually admiring her makeup artist's work instead of her personal taste. Because I used to think that everything about Ayu is the direct result of her, thought she was like that... :( hum! Perhaps she means in her personal life she doesn't wear it. Hope so. Because I feel a sense that she enjoys makeup when I watch clips of her applying her own makeup, such as the URAAYU making video.

octolina: she's probably like me... I like makeup from an artistic point of view. I love what you can do with it, I love that you can change the colors of your eyelids & lips & cheeks to match your clothes or your mood. I love its ability to change a face & emphasize things you may never have noticed otherwise.

But i'm not particularly girly, so I don't usually play with makeup, and if I don't have to be anywhere, you can bet I'm not wearing any - I feel oddly like I'm wearing a mask even with only a VERY thin layer on. Plus putting it on is so tedious sometimes. I really only put it on if I need to, and if I do, I do my best to do it right.

i don't think ayu dislikes make up, because if she did, she would sport a more natural look. which she doesn't, she's always seen with make up. and hair extensions and nail creations. she loves it. plus she was spokesperson for make up companies, and now even is for rimmel.

maybe she dislikes the fact that you have to be more careful in order not to smudge the make up, like when you wipe your face or want to wash it - you have to do it all over again XD

the "poker face" writings confuse me a bit. what is it she wants to say? either way, i'd love to get more insight in her lyrics or her thoughts behind them! :)

I'm right now a lil bit worried because in her last TA message said was staying in Ehime (on the island of Shikoku) and now I just saw on the news that there had been an earthquake of 6.6 degrees near of Shizuoka and is a tsunami warning, please Ayu and everyone there take care!!
