^ 3 SPLASH, yes. WILD/Dr. I'm not sure I thought it stopped at 112k or something (I'm not sure)... definitely higher than Sunrise's current sales. :)

lol There's not much to do with Sunrise and Sunset so putting relevant phrases with ayu's titles could fit I guess. xD

It seems like that she is continuing chasing the record on her progress as the most successful (and one of the most publicized) female Japanese pop soloist in history...

I'm very pleased with these sales. Every release, people talk about the demise of sales and demise of Ayu's popularity, but I just think people should lower their standards a bit. Everything looks great to me! :)

agreed. People should also look at other female artists' sales. Ayu is doing very well imo.

People are acting like the single is at the edge of the top 200.. it's still kinda randomly popping into the top 10, so what's there to worry about? Haha.

yeah, on top of all, it had no gimmicks and is still selling better than the majority of singles released by other female artists who got popular more recently.

more than 100k copies for such single is very good

Yeap, that's pattern I've noticed from Days/GREEN... the position stays at a range on a week, and it drops on the first/second day of a new week, after which it will slowly climb up for the rest of the week before falling again when a new week comes.

Inside the top ten today...was a dream...but 29...GANBATTE!!!

Isn't one of her best single imo.. but well congratz Ayu :heart

Hah, not too surprised. The days of 4 weeks of #1 positions for a single áre gone, even for Ayu. This single was frankly quite boring anyway, nice songs and all, but they both had something missing, and even the Mega-Mash-Up couldn't spice that up. I remember when I first heard LOVE 'n' HATE that I really hated the verses, especially the last one, but the song itself really got to me, with the 'action' and all, but this single haven't got any of that in it for me, I'm afraid... :no

Ah, Sunrise has dropped out of the Top 30 for today.

^ it's been a month since it was released, fair enough :)

^ I'm pretty sure it will climb up a few spots for the rest of the week though... that seems to always happen with her recent releases, haha

Um, that should be changed. SMAP also has 44 Top 10 singles.

Ayu releases singles quicker..so it doesn't really matter. She'll probably have it back in a month or two.

I don't think it will beat Namie's single... But at this rate I don't even think Namie can beat her whole single. Either way the single still sold more than I what make in a year,so I'm happy! :P

this is strictly a summer single and since summer's pretty much over, i don't think many people will be interested in purchasing a summer single in the fall.

hopefully her next single is a strong one, definitely wouldn't mind a rock track like talkin' 2 myself which i think is better than Sunrise and Sunset combined. :yes

I totally agree with this, Japanese people doesn't wait the same thing as us ! They are mad about boys band at this moment, for me and a lot of others people boys band are totally dead ..!

I think this is more or less the "downfall"... hopefully there'll be a miracle climb... but yeah we'll see.

i think it's less of a downfall and more of a shift in consumption. coupled with illegal downloads, free streaming, and individual digital downloads, physical copies are slowly becoming obsolete. it's hard to imagine with these numbers that Japan is now the most valuable physical music market.

can't wait to see the total of the 5th week... i'm doubting that S/S can hit t2m's levels now.

^ Last hope of this single climbing up again. Sorry if I'm being pessimistic but in the bottom-hundreds now = dying single. Just give it a few more weeks and it will die off... with the tour, the sales might pick up again.

If it keeps on chart for 7, 8 weeks... it's good enough IMO

now i'm thinking it won't beat T2M since sales are dropping to the hundreds. oh well :P

That's good for me too, but I really wish for talkin' 2 myself to be just lowest-selling single since the first single that sold over 100k... I mean, it would be good if she kept selling well, right?

If comparing though we should compare to the general state of music and solo female artists as of those years and the year of 2009 rather than that.
Maybe talkin' 2 myself was her lowest selling on 2007 and her lowest selling since For My Dear... but still if a single of now manages to sell like a single of 2 years ago it's still decent.
The average of female singers singles this year is like 90,000-100,000(-).
No solo female album that passed 400,000 this year but the coming compilations might make it happen (ayaka's best).
And then there will be no studio album by a female solo artist in the top 10 yearly.

I get what you mean; maybe it's time to set the bar lower for solo female singers. But again... watching the sales get lower and lower each time is really saddening... I should be glad though; she IS doing well for today's standards and all... :D

Physcial sales for singles seem to be litteraly dead nowadays.

Well personally I wouldn't buy a single that doesn't have b-sides that won't be on the album. The megamix is something I'd just buy from iTunes or download. :P

Most of the people in Japan think the same way apparently.
Singles aren't worth enough to be bought, people are waiting for the albums to buy physical.
Well, I'm still buying singles if I like the songs, cause I wanna support the artists.
But everybody has to decide and there are more important things than singles, that's for sure. :laugh

Ooooh, rising!! :D Hopefully it'll stay around that for at least a few days, ah hah..? ^^' About singles not being worth it... I never really thought singles were worth it, unless they have some cool remixes, a few good A-sides AND a B-side, or otherwise unreleased tracks. Or if they have some PVs or neat video footage that interests me. But 99% of the time none of those apply for the singles I may be interested in, lol. :\ Thus, I've never been a singles buyer. :X To me, singles sales don't matter nearly as much as anything else an artist sells, including DVDs and such. Afterall, singles are just snippets of something much cooler and much more worth buying, lol.
