Sakurai has been my brother in law since VS ARASHI started last April *points to my younger sister who was Yamapi & Kame baited initally but not anymore T_T & oh glad that you like the extras add on for each of the members that I did 8D & it's true for all of them including the part where I said about MatsuJun posing in Marie Claire Japan & that was a really neat photoshoot :heart since black & white shots are always a win win situation for me :heart anyway from the previous thread 1) Sakurai Sho Touts ‘Masculinity’! On September 17th the Arashi members appeared in their own TV variety program ‘ひみつの嵐ちゃん / Secret Arashi’s TV Show’. The actress Inoue Mao guest starred in the program, and was asked about her type. She replied that she liked men who have a ‘masculine’ side, especially those who can wolf down their food. So the Arashi members each took turns eating gyudon [牛丼 bowl of rice topped with beef] in what they thought was a manly fashion! Before the competition, Inoue had told Sakurai Sho that she wasn’t exactly fond of men who have stooped shoulders. Eager to prove that he could be Inoue’s type, Sakurai cracked eggs with his head, applied an unseemly amount of red peppers and red pickled gingers to his gyudon, and promptly stuffed them into his mouth. He then claimed that the gyudon had ‘no taste’, and did the unthinkable. He drank the sweet sauce used for the gyudon right from the bottle! But after all the trouble he went to, Inoue chose Matsumoto. I like ballads more than bubble gum pop, so considering that, what do you think I should start with that's more recent? I know so many of their singles by name but I have no idea what their style is like.
Btw, how is Arashi sssooo successful with single sales and then their album sales are horrible (excluding this new Best)? I wiki'd them and their 2008 album was like #30 on the yearly charts and none of their albums have even gotten to a million. But their singles sell like Coca cola in the middle of a desert! |

and that's just a JE pattern. fangirls really just buy singles more than albums because of various reasons. the prices are cheaper and you get multiple versions and stuff. it's hard to explain. irene knows better than me :yes but that just dosen't happen with arashi. it happens with most johnny's entertainment boy groups. |

So, if it ends up being true that for their 10th anniversary they will be on NTV for 50 hours, then I personally am hoping for some revivals of their old shows! C, D, GnoArashi, Mago Mago Arashi etc were all from NTV. Otherwise I wonder just what they will be doing for 50 hours! They have no concerts scheduled for October and only one city in Nov. if I remember right, so it seems they are keeping that block of time free for doing other things.

Here is some more info about the 50 hours on tv thing: This November, the five-member boy band Arashi celebrates their 10th anniversary. In connection with that, NTV has announced an "Arashi Challenge Week" for this fall, which will have the group's members appear on the network's major shows for a full seven days, culminating in a live broadcast special.
At least one Arashi member is scheduled to appear on each of the programs, which range from "Zoom In!! SUPER" in the morning to "NEWS ZERO" at night. The other shows include "Jinsei ga Kawaru Ippunkan no Fukaii Hanashi," "Majotachi no 22 Ji," "Guruguru Ninety-Nine," "Kinyo Roadshow," "Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen," and "Gyouretsu no Dekiru Houritsu Soudanjo." The total running time of all of the shows is expected to be more than 50 hours. On the last day, all five members will appear on a live special. The special is planned to include a new segment of the "Can we get to Tokyo Bay by boat?" series, which experiments with boats made from different materials, such as toy building blocks, but has always ended with the boats sinking. The special will also feature musical performances by the group and some past video footage. Can't wait to see the next boat thing. :) The first was still the best though when they tried a paper boat. |
