I wish I'd finished the blog translation earlier so you could have seen this coming.... From my translation (they're up at gaijinkanpai.com, btw) it was obvious that the announcement was NOT a big secret, but something she'd had Satsuki and her crew working on.

For me it's not very clear, and Ayu wrote the word "secret" so it's normal that everybody was excited !
and don't forget she was in Las Vegas for learn about "entertainment", si this secret might be something for the concert in Fukuoka! and almost every post she talks about Satsuki then nobody suspected there was a link ! lol

They're nice, I like the black and white and the black and pink ones, but they're a bit expensive.

Well, looking better they're no SO expensive, but for us (mostly student's) is, I think we preffer spend our money in other kind of stuff.

Wow some people really this is disappointing? You all obviously don't know much about the Japanese culture! lol Japanese people eat these things up! She posts those deco pics because, obviously, TA doesn't mind seeing them (and maybe wants to see more). Yes, Ayu knows she has international fans, but her homebase, basically her career, is in Japan. She isn't thinking about her international fans outside of Asia when she does these things.

That's really nice of Satsuki to make these limited edition cell phone straps! I wish I could get one, haha.

I think those straps are really cute. I like especially the first, colorful one. I agree, they're overprized, though. I don't think I would get anything like that myself.

i don't mind ayu's deco things, for me I think they are really cute :) i would definately buy the first one if it were $50 or less... too bad because i like it alot. i already spent enough on my sparkly USB ;p

I don't thnik they're very expensive. I mean, it's not like they are the price of a car LOL They're definitely not cheap, but they weren't made for donation ppl :P They were specially designed and all that crap and with ayu doing all this mystery and propaganda now it's obvious she'd stick her knife and stab the fans with a not so welcoming price. This is most likely for those who are indeed willing to pay to have some ayu special item. And you don't know what fans are cpaable of doing :bchuck I wouldn't personally buy those myself, but I'd be a liar if I said I've never spent a little more on something futile LOL

I don't think a lot of you understand why it's priced so high, or why she's even doing this in the first place...

It's Ayu. Remember the Rimmel set sold at concerts? A tube of mascara, the eyeliner, and the mirror was 2500yen (basically $25USD) - I would NEVER pay that much for it if it weren't special Ayu merch.

Also, it's Avex - we all know how much they like to put out from their artists (remember all FOUR versions of NEXT LEVEL?), and they like to jack up their prices.

And, these are specially designed (and maybe made by) Satsuki - she's going to earn a profit from these.

Ayu + Avex + Satsuki = big prices.

These are for the hardcore fans in JAPAN. Japanese girls LOVE deco, and they will certainly buy these. This is actually a good marketing strategy (for Ayu, Avex, and Satsuki) since Japan is going through a huge deco craze currently. Plus, Ayu and Satsuki are friends, and Ayu knows how much power she has. Ayu promoting herself + Satsuki = big business opportunities for Satsuki.

^ And more money in Ayu's pocket of course...

Really? Rimmel brand mascara and eyeliner is about $5USD each, and I usually only buy stuff around that much (and it works good). It's the mirror that costs the most, since it's got Ayu's name and tour name on it.

Yeah, I mean if you want Ayu deco'd goods, you can just go to any of the many deco artists in Japan and get it done for cheaper I'm sure. It just wouldn't be "official."

You mustnt compare the prices to where you live as even the price of branded goods will vary alot among countries due to currency fluctuations and other things...

:yes Crystals aren't diamond, but they're way above fake gems and such. And in every country, handmade boosts the price pretty good. I'd consider getting one if they were twenty dollars cheaper, hah....But I am a poor woman. ;_;

So disappointing... Almost $80 for a effin' phone strap that you probably could make yourself with those stick on crystal packs? Eff that! :P I could see it being a bit expensive if Satsuki is making every single order by hand, but not $80. You'd think TA members would get more of a discount than $6 bucks considering how much they have to pay for the membership fee, though. Oh well.
