Breaking news: Fiona Sit released 'Read Me'
Single 叮叮車 is so jazzy, I love it so much.
Abin Fang released 'Regrets' and what I hear so far is great.

Omfg, Abin. His first album was amazing so I'm excited to get this one.

Yoga Lin is also releasing something.

i listened Fiona Sit new album Read Me yesterday, and i like it. It is her typical style with sweet melodies and sweet beats.
i am a little bit disappointed it´s just a EP, not a full album.

first song Mei Siu Saat Yan Si Gin (Smile Murder Incident) is catchy and fast, reminds me her songs 886 or Canyon1234. And jazzy song Ding Ding Che (Ding Ding Train) reminds me music of Vicki Zhao Wei :) especially Vicki´s new album We Are All Great Directors is full of jazzy melodies

i was disappointed with being it EP, not an album too, but when the songs are amazing I forget that. I like every track on it.

yeah, Charlene Choi new EP is also out !! :cool

I can't get enough of Gigi Leung currently. I hope she releases a new Canto album soon (although I prefer Mando, she already released one this year).

I love Elva Hsiao's new album. <3 Aside from Faye Wong, she's the Cpop artist that I've listened to the longest and I just love her music. :D

its good! still cant get enough of sherman chung lol, so i cant take a fulltime listen haha. miriam yeung is back and kary ng. kary ng is a nice surprise, i didnt expect anything really.

yeah, Charlene´s EP is quite good, but i expected a little bit more. anyway i still love her first solo album Lonely Me. :love
i haven´t listen miriam yeung and kary ng yet. but i hope kary´s new EP is fine, because i like previous albums by her.

i like upbeat songs from this album - especially Diamnod Candy song is so catchy with cute music video :yes !
but i still love elva´s 1087 and 3 Faced albums more than Diamond Candy.

3 Faced was a boring album imo. There were some ok songs, but the majority of them fell flat to their potential. 1087 is great and Diamond Candy is like the super synthed version of it. lol.

does anyone knows 徐佳瑩? just went to her autograph session, she's quite pretty but short :tired

i'm not a fans of her, i was forced by my friend to attend the event, but surprisingly, she is good, she composed most of her songs

Ok, I don't know about you guys, but I always get lost with chinese tags :( When I go to download some artist's best of or whatever, I get lost with so many albums lol I'm last.fm addict so when I want to get my tags right, there are like thousand versions of one song >.<;; They don't have singles, they just release albums and that way is pissing me off.

Lala. lol. Yeah she's cool, I love how she usually incorporates Taiwanese into her songs.

@Maemi, I never get lost lol. I usually just keep all my stuff in traditional chinese.

i think its better to release only albums cuz i can afford album every now and then, i just cant keep up with jpop cuz of their singles! you buy only for a song or two. albums ftw.

lol but then for the albums, you would want to buy all the different versions for the free goodies @_@

Btw, Ding Dang's album is pretty good. Her voice has always been great, but I've never found her last two albums to be overall awesome (some of her songs are wicked though), but this one has quite a few I'm liking.

Me, too. I saved a couple tracks from her previous album, but I kept the entirety of the new one. She really does have a good voice.

On YA, one of the versions of Elva's new album is an autographed copy. Anyone know if that's a real autograph, or just like, printed on? I'm thinking of placing an order and was thinking of including the album.

I just got into Danson Tang and Huang YiDA, but I love them alot now :33

I like how they incorporate a bit of pop/rock (moreso Yida) into their music, as I especially enjoy the song Ai Wo by Danson. Their singing is another story though. lol.

GEM's debut album is amazing. I like every song on it. Does anyone know if there will be CD+DVD version of it? The Limited commemorative edition looks good but in my opinion it is too expensive....and I wonder what are those "G.E.M. fashion accessories"? :D

Rachel Liang is releasing her sophomore album. Damn, I certainly cannot wait, her voice is wicked.

There is also a new female singer, Cindy Yen who has worked with Jay Chou on a duet (which she composed).


Jay sorta ruins it.

I have never liked Jay Chou. I prefer female singers. :)

^I'm the same, but her debut album (which leaked today/yesterday) is quite good for a debut album, especially considering she composed all the songs.

Ah, I downloaded Landy's, but haven't heard it yet, so I'm a bit worried now. lol. Hopefully there is a decent ballad in there as that is what I usually look for first in her albums (as I am not a big dance genre fan).

Love your set btw. I wanted to make a set out of that pic too (which I might do soon).

Edit: Just went through a quick listen of Landy's album and the only songs I'm really interested in are track 5 and 9 (ballads). Elva's album is a stronger dance album.

Dancing Queen was a little disappointment for me too. :( Landy's cover of D.I.S.C.O was so nice that I excepted something better. I thought the album would be full of disco influenced songs but eww...

i dont like dance songs too, i like some of the tracks on yoga lin's new album ^^

when i first heard her, but now i find her music really nice...

i listened cindy yen yesterday, but song with Jay Chou is the only one i like, album is a little bit boring. :(

I like all catchy songs on Elva Hsiao's new album :D But I skipped all ballads :( It seems I can't get into them... Oh, also, I got into Fan Fan recently! She has a nice and strong voice, and I still have to listen to other songs from her best of to see if I can or won't listen to her ;)

Lol, good good. Fan Fan is perfect for ballads. I never really liked many of her upbeat songs pre-F One, as they were always geared towards some Beach Boys sound (except the songs My First World and Philosopher).

Anyone heard Yoga Lin's new album? I like Gan tong shen shou (slow rockish feel) and Jie High Ren (Jazzy feel~).. the others i can't really rememeber

I would actually say I prefer his first album. Maybe it's because I listen to mainstream Cpop most of the time (I have my artists on the side though), which is what I found that album to lean more towards. I give him props for trying out some different stuff, but I found the majority of the new album either forgettable or boring. The first song on his first album was something I was hoping for.

Downloaded the new Charlene Choi EP, it was ok, not as good as her debut album.

Avex is releasing another best album from Cyndi as she's supposed to release a new album in December. 6 CDs+100 pg photobook. I already have Red Cyndi, so I'm unsure. The cover is nice and the fact that it's all of her avex cds in one is pretty interesting though.

Rachel's new album = as good as her first. Definitely one of my faves of this year. Although the ballads aren't as sad, but a little more uplifting this time around, her voice is really awesome.

Can anyone recommend me some good albums by Fish Leong, A-Mei and Danson Tang? I don't like albums with 50% of boring ballads. I like Jolin Tsai, Elva Hsiao and JJ Lin.

Uhm. With Fish, you're looking at albums filled with ballads. Like FILLED. I would suggest Wings of Love though if you still want to try her out. For A-mei, try her recent album, Amit and her other albums Maybe Tomorrow, Star and Fever. Majority of these ones have more upbeat material than her usual.

Danson only has two albums and both are pretty much mixtures of upbeat and ballads. The ballads are iffy, but the upbeat songs are pretty good. If you're looking for more upbeat material, try Landy Wen, Show Luo, Coco Lee, Alisa Galper and Cyndi Wang.

She has a good voice, but I tend to find her songs lack in anything that highlight it.

There has been a lack of releases at the start of this year. I hope it picks up soon.
