and i'm still not sure about this LANDS unit, i haven't heard any previews yet waiting for the full pv... anyway how well do you guys think this will do on the charts? will it out sell the recent kat-tun singles etc. i always found it weird how Yamapi's first solo single sold around 800k while no NEWS single has sold over 400k :think |
i'd like a new KAT-TUN single, too. but i'm okay with LANDS (but really, i didn't hear the song yet :dead2 i know i'm lazy, forgive me :weep) i think it'll get #1 on oricon, though. i mean...it's jin :laugh he's without a doubt gonna get #1. but i dunno how big the sales could be. maybe a 100k or 90k-ish first week? :shrug

it's hard to say...however, i think it will sell decently! how big the numbers though, is hard to predict. i think it will sell at least 250k? (is that too optimistic? lol) it's Jin's 1st solo single and i think it will lure a different base with Kobayashi Takeshi on board. the song itself is different from a KAT-TUN song. i mean, it's rock, but not the edgy kind KT does.
i don't think anyone else is releasing on 11/25 that's a threat...November is pretty much one of those JE domination months, lmao. :P |

despite his awesomeness, Suga Shikao is not a big seller. i think his biggest single was "Manatsu no Yoru no Yume" since it had the DEATH NOTE movie tie-in. and that didn't sell much from what i remember looking at the charts at the time.
i think Jin's going to get #1, naturally. i think he's the most popular member amongst the fans, tbqh. and he seems to be a popular member outside the KT/JE fanbase as well. |

Eirynne I think you better preorder the CD + DVD of BANDAGE on YesAsia a.s.a.p because I swear I saw them selling the CD + DVD edition at US$12.99 initally but now it's US$19.99 @_@ I think that's ridiculous & there's only 1 song included in the CD D: CDJapan still has it & excluding shipping it's US$11.65 comparisons after you added in shipping fee for both YesAsia - US$23.98 CDJapan - US$ 19.99 (D: D: D: ) OK what YesAsia's charging's what you pay in total for CDJapan which includes shipping :o sorry I got nothing better to do in here xD |

As Akanishi and the other cast members made their way onto the stage, loud screams erupted from the audience. The director Kobayashi lauded Akanishi. "I personally requested to have Akanishi play the lead role. He quickly executed whatever I asked him to do. He exceeded all expectations." The costars also praised Akanishi. "Akanishi-san was very friendly and made everyone relax." "Although he acts as if he doesn't care, he actually is gentle and was constantly caring about the other members." Akanishi looked slightly embarrassed but managed to say "I'm flattered (laugh)." The crowd laughed to see Akanishi acting so shyly. He then commented about the film. "The worldview was brilliant. I immediately fell in love with it." In the film Akanishi's character fronts a five member rock band called 'LANDS'. The role seemed to have become a natural part of him. Just like in the movie, he and the other actors who played the band members could be seen smiling and joking with each other throughout the event. Even while they were onstage they whispered among themselves and shared a few laughs. Kobayashi, while smiling at the five actors, said he was satisfied with the work he'd done. "Since I'm originally from the music industry, it was my first time to direct a movie. But there was no stress, and I was able to relax and enjoy the whole process." [Kobayashi is famous as a music producer.] For each of the 1000 tickets for a seat at the event, 300 fans applied. They were treated to an unexpected surprise. After the movie ended, the real LANDS members started to perform live. Kaneko wildly beat the drums, the director Kobayashi played the keyboard while the vocalist Akanishi sang seductively. Soon everyone was on their feet. LANDS played aggressively throughout their performance. 'BANDAGE' is set in the 1990s, when rock bands were all the rage in Japan. I can tell that this time round J-One Records / JStorm is really pumping in a lot of $ into this single & let alone the PV it's quite D: that over 50 cameras were used to shoot it :dead2 anyway if you want to preorder it , the CD + DVD's already out of print on CDJapan . You still can get the CD only but both are deemed limited at the end of the day because just like White X'mas , they only have limited pressings YesAsia still has both edtions though - http://www.yesasia.com/global/search...E-en/list.html They jacked up the CD + DVD's price from US$12.99 to US$19.99 grrr :eviltongu & the worst thing's that the CD + DVD has a much better cover than the CD only imo T____________________T *prays that avex Taiwan's making OS presses for both editions of the single xD |

I still say that they should have included at least a B-side in the single :P & oh I realised today that the movie title is not talking about a BANDAGE , the one you used if you're injuried but rather it's the combination of the 2 words BAND & AGE since the movie was set in the 90s during the boom of rock bands hence the title so clever -_- |

yeah I remembered that time when ONE DROP & RESCUE were released within one month from each other & then Break the Records came
they went on 2 tours soon after to promote the album & then they had solo activities the only one that obviously has solo activities still going on til next Jan-Feb is Akanishi / LANDS maybe after all these has finished , they will come back with something new ? til then Break the Records DVD will be out on 16th Dec :D |
But I want a new single. Fast. Or maybe they will perform White X-Mas in December at some TV-Shows if we're lucky - but I don't think so. But yes, the Break the Records DVD is one thing to look forward to.

I doubt it. He's probably happy to do his own stuff. So the last thing he'll do is talk about KAT-TUN. (If he's not asked directly. :)) At least it seems like this for all the Bandage Promo he has done so far. Ah, the unfairness of it all....;)

i think the group will do BTR DVD promo in December, but that's it for the rest of the year. overall, i think it's been a really weird year for JE. i guess their only focus is on Arashi, which is understandable since its their 10th anniversary, but i felt like every other group got side-tracked.
but at least KAT-TUN (& KANJANI8) got to be very active this year in comparison to let's say...NEWS, TOKIO, and that forgotten group Hey!Say!JUMP. |
yeah a lot of focus for this year centres on ARASHI which's no surprises since it's their 10th anniversary & they're even more hotter than ever before since last year when their popularity were revived super big time
I feel sorry for TOKIO because it's their 15th anniversary this year & we only got 1 single from the guys :( hopefully when 2010 starts , things might look more uniform in a way or 2 as I don't think there's any Johnny's group celebrating an important milestone thingy for 2010 , well not that I know of anyway |
But that's really unfair. Not every Johnny's Fan is a Fan of Arashi. :( I like Arashi, I really do, but their music always seemed...mmh..average? to me. There are a few songs I really like but the rest is soso for me. Musically my favourite Johnny's group is definitely KAT-TUN. And that's why it does bother me that there are no new releases. I'm here for the music, you know....:D
