Details

:faint

UTADA IS COMING TO THE UK!!!! OMG. I. Am. There. They better not cancel this.

Picaflor 7/4 29th October 2009 09:31 PM

that's cool. I'm not going though cause I'm broke. I'll just check out the video if it comes out on dvd or something. I doubt she'll even come to pennsylvania.

ohsixthirty 29th October 2009 09:36 PM

YES YES YES! I hope this is true and that she'll come somewhere, ANYWHERE near me!

Tom Punks 29th October 2009 09:39 PM

I hope she comes to Florida! :O

Yumsushi 29th October 2009 09:45 PM

Woo~ if she comes any where near the US/Canada border I'll be there.

keepsgettinbetter 29th October 2009 09:51 PM

The UK venue is like half an hour from me. My life is complete. ♥

FIRSTKLAS 29th October 2009 10:00 PM

If she makes a stop in Canada (hopefully Toronto), I seriously think I'll get myself there.

My God, you lucky *****, lol. D:

TITANIC 29th October 2009 11:58 PM

I guess she's too late for a tour to promote her album

RikkuChii 30th October 2009 12:03 AM

If she comes to the Bay Area, I am there!

amorphose 30th October 2009 12:09 AM

Utada, I'm willing you to be in Pittsburgh, Columbus, or Cleavland before the 27th (Jan.) or after the 3rd (Feb.) :heart

PITTSBURGHH PITTSBURGH PITTSBURGHHHH!

I know she'll be in one of the cities I mentioned, but I'm afraid it will be in the time frame which I don't want her to be (cause I'm going to be in Paris.)

ANYWAY-- I'm so excited already. This is so unexpected and it's going to ROCK. Let's just pray my luck continues and I will be able to attend~

Picaflor 7/4 30th October 2009 12:14 AM

^ I think if anything she'll be in philly (which is right near me ♥). cause she's hitting all the major cities i think.

Pittsburgh is a super hot spot for touring, especially for artist not-to-well known. Lots of nice little venues. Her being there would be most convenient for me cause it's super close. But Columbus and Cleveland are a dream come too, as well.

I think she'll be more concerned on hitting a city in each region and Pittsburgh is much more 'mid-west' than Philly. But Ohio is even more so. You should just go to the New York show! haha

Crystal_Ageha 30th October 2009 12:23 AM

More people come more often to Pittsburgh than Philadelphia, from what I've seen. I don't care either way, considering anywhere in PA would be awesome for me. :yes

amorphose 30th October 2009 12:25 AM

If she comes to Pittsburgh-- all of us AHS members who would go to that showing should meet! :D That'd be so cool~

NintendoHTF1242 30th October 2009 12:31 AM

She probably won't stop in MN ;-; OH HOW I CAN DREAM

SunshineSlayer 30th October 2009 12:31 AM

Wow that's great, although it seems to be happening durring the time I'll be moving to Japan. lol. Oh the irony.

ownsarai 30th October 2009 12:35 AM

Hmm...so I'm sure she'll be doing an LA show? Great news! Too bad I can't make it. :(

What suckage, lol. Oh well. She should tour at least once more in her lifetime for another Japanese album, so you could go to that one, then. Which would be guaranteed to be much better than this tour. -_-'

amorphose 30th October 2009 12:50 AM

^^This tour is going to take place in smaller venues, it seems. (Judging by the London venue, that is.)

I'd much rather go to a concert that is up close and personal like that than a theatric one in a huge arena any day. I'm super STOKED.

Picaflor 7/4 30th October 2009 01:26 AM

hellz yeah we should meet up! and all the members here that buy every single and album by ayu 3 times over including every version of every single and album can also buy me a ticket to see the show. think of it as charity. ♥

Crystal_Ageha 30th October 2009 01:30 AM

Hey, me too! ;) *begs* Nah, just kidding.... Or am~ I?... *ahem*

It would be really neat for us to meet up! Guess we're getting ahead of ourselves though, considering we don't even know the cities yet, lol. :innocent

No argument there. :) I haven't really liked either of her english albums other than a couple of songs.

You're lucky!
I have to come all the way from Amsterdam.. Probably by bus + ferry, maybe plane.
But she is 200% worth it.

It's quite funny.. 1 or 2 years ago, I made a promise to myself. I figured IF Hikki would ever come to Europe, she'd come to London. So I promised myself "If Hikki will ever come to London, I'll go there"
And now that dream is actually coming true. Madness.

aura~ 30th October 2009 02:25 AM

Woow!! I think I'll go!! XDDD
This is my first oportunity to see a big japanese singer, so I think I'm sure going... maybe if I can convince 2 friends to come with me... Then FOR SURE!!!

But I'm not a big fan of her english albums -_____- It'd be perfect if she'd sing her japanese works too, as I think this tour dates aren't to promote her english album... a year after...

Maybe some AHS members will be able to meet there?? ^^

(Ayu please, do the SAME!!! xd)

jbrat2219 30th October 2009 02:28 AM

I might go just because I'm curious as to how she's going to perform Dirty Desire and Poppin'....

Picaflor 7/4 30th October 2009 02:32 AM

I think she might also perform her japanese stuff. I mean didn't she say in a few interviews that if she ever had a concert it would have to be from all her albums? not just tito or whatever? and I'm hoping that by that statement she meant all her albums in her japanese and english career, not just english, cause 2 albums worth of songs isn't much. also considering that the entire tito album from beginning to end is really just barely over half an hour long with no interludes or intros. (not counting bonus tracks of course)

ll moments ll 30th October 2009 02:37 AM

SO HAY UTADA. COME TO LA/OC/SOCAL. OK THX. :laugh

amorphose 30th October 2009 02:38 AM

I'm thinking it's likely she'll perform the following English songs:

Easy Breezy, Devil Inside, Exodus '04, You Make Me Want To Be A Man, Kremlin Dusk, Come Back To Me, Dirty Desire, This One (Crying Like A Child), Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - FYI, Me Muero, Simple and Clean, and Sanctuary

Well-- that's not really a list of what I think she'll perform. It's a list of the English songs she HAS performed (plus singles and the KH songs; and excluding the songs performed at the NYC showcase.)

I think it's quite possible she'll perform some Japanese songs-- if not in the main set list, probably in the encore.

And for those saying they don't think this is for promoting TiTO-- I think it definitely is considered it's going to coincide with the release of Dirty Desire as a single. I am also predicting a European release of the album and a re-release of the American version.

Crystal_Ageha 30th October 2009 03:14 AM

I don't know about a re-release, but she'd be kinda stupid NOT to release the album in Europe while she's touring. And yeah, I really think this is going to be at least mostly promotion for TITO, and her English works in general.

mcluva420 30th October 2009 04:17 AM

oh boy, how i wish she would perform her japanese songs on this tour :luv2 :weep

Crystal_Ageha 30th October 2009 04:56 AM

I think we all really want that! :cry ....Maybe we should force her. Like, try screaming out, "HEY HIKKI DO AUTOMATIC NOOOWWW!!" And if that doesn't work, we find her backstage after the concert, and we tie her up and force her to sing a personal encore for us, full of her best Japanese songs. :yes

roanmy 30th October 2009 05:18 AM

I am *SO* going to London! Eeeeeeventhough I have to come from Norway! hehe!!

good idea! :D :mischief if she dont have the music with her, she better do accapella :laugh

Sadette 30th October 2009 09:32 AM

The only place I could get would be UK. Somebody needs to give me moneyy :thud

omably 30th October 2009 09:38 AM

YES!! HAWAI'I W00T W00T W00T!!!

keepsgettinbetter 30th October 2009 03:13 PM

omg I'm freaking out. The London page has been taken down. They're going to put it back up right? Right?? :weep

Andrenekoi 30th October 2009 05:20 PM

If she is going to perform anything in Japanese, it's most likelly Automatic, First Love and Flavor of Life...

Hikari and Passion, that would be her best known japanese work overseas have english versions @_@ So, she is most likelly using them...

amorphose 30th October 2009 10:32 PM

Knowing Hikki, she'll just perform whatever the hell she feels like performing though. XD I can only think of two reasons she may not perform Japanese material: 1) If this tour is strictly for promoting her English material, IDJ may not want her to. 2) IDJ and EMI would have to set up another sort of deal, wouldn't they? Like with UU06-- didn't IDJ receive some of the profit for that? IDJ may not want to give EMI any of the profit for this.

bulmasman 30th October 2009 10:51 PM

That's awesome, but seriously sucks that it's London only. There's more to the UK than ENGLAND!

amorphose 30th October 2009 11:06 PM

^^I'm pretty sure they said more UK dates may be added. I wouldn't be surprised if not only did she add another UK date or two, but some non-UK European dates. She has just as many fans in Europe as she days in the US and UK, I think.

Maemi 30th October 2009 11:12 PM

Have a great time, guys^^ I wonder if she'll perform japanese songs? That would be weird, but I think it would be even more amazing with her japanese songs :) The others will have to be patient and wait ;)

I highly doubt that she adds non-UK dates. And if she does, it'll probably be Paris for sure and maybe Barcelona or something? That's where Japanese artists usually tour when in Europe (OLIVIA and Kanon Wakeshima performed on Paris and Miyavi in Barcelona). If she goes to Barcelona I will get the money from under the rocks to see her tho (even when I'm at the opposite corner of the country :laugh xD)

And she better sings her Japanese stuff. Or at least Exodus. She can keep This is The One to herself, except maybe a couple of songs xD But for me, she can sit there and cough, as long as I'm seeing her live :D

ayumisrael 31st October 2009 01:29 AM

That's really cool!
I'm looking forward to know what she will be singing there. ^^

CoriKaru 31st October 2009 08:00 AM

For some reason, I just don't see her performing any of her Japanese material on this tour. Would seem strange being that this is promotion for "This Is The One", although I'd prefer it.

She won't come anywhere in my area so I'm not all that excited.

omably 31st October 2009 08:47 AM

^Believe CoriKaru! BELIEVE!

I'm trying to believe, and I'm in a completely different hemisphere! :P

... :scry

Evolution7/4 31st October 2009 08:55 AM

In interviews in the past Utada said she would 100% perform her japanese songs during a us tour.

~ayu-cake~ 31st October 2009 10:26 AM

I am so there
o___o

hikaricore 31st October 2009 04:44 PM

OKay... so where is everyone finding the list of dates and locales??
I want a Chicago date!!

hpg23 31st October 2009 08:43 PM

^So far the only date announced is the London one, (February 12th 2010, O2 arena, tickets go on sale on November 13th 2009)

About the U.S. dates, we only know that there will be 10, but not exact dates have been announced.

________

I hope the London tickets don't sell out too quickly... but anyway I hope there's reselling at least x_________x If I miss the tickets I will literally die.

What I hope /think / would be pleased and it would be coherent she sang:

-Come Back To Me
-Simple And Clean
-Sanctuary
-Devil Inside
-Easy Breezy
-Kremlim Dusk
-You Make Me Want to be A Man
-Automatic
-Flavor of Life
-This One (Crying Like a Child)
-Me Muero/Poppin' / another song from TITO
-COLORS
-Be My Last
-Travelling
-SAKURA Drops
-First Love
-Keep Tryin'
-This Is Love
-Prisoner of Love

...and if she does Kettobase!, TOKYO Nights or Uso Mitaina I Love You, I will literally have an orgasm there. Tho I higly doubt she performs those xD

Polyrhythm 31st October 2009 08:50 PM

I hope they announce the dates soon so we know its not just some bad joke ><

AyUta 31st October 2009 10:45 PM

Utada US/UK Tour in 2010 - London 02.12.2010
Rumors have been circulating of a possible tour in January, and we have gotten word that Utada will in fact be touring in early 2010, though no dates or venues have yet to be set in stone. It appears that, in addition to DJ Mike Rizzo (confirmed by a member at UtadaNet), Utada will have a band backing her on this tour, opening up the possibility of more than a simple club tour. An official confirmation from Island Def Jam should not be far behind.

UPDATE: According to MuuMuse, Utada will start her tour in Hawaii in mid-January, with a total of 10 US dates, followed by at least one date in the UK, ending February 12th. The Stateside events will be handled by Live Nation.

UPDATE 2: Utada’s UK concert will take place at O2 Academy Islington on February 12th.

UPDATE 3: Tickets for Utada’s London show go on sale November 13th at 9AM. Ticket prices start from £20.

Crystal_Ageha 31st October 2009 11:32 PM

So, it's only going to be a month long tour? I hope we get some cities or dates for the US soon. I REALLY have to plan ahead for this to work at all...

And ugh, I hope, if she sings her Japanese songs, she'll focus more on the first half of her career. I honestly have no interest in hearing live anything other than COLORS or Prisoner of Love from ULTRA BLUE or HEART STATION. :shrug

RyRyMini 1st November 2009 12:22 AM

If she comes near me, I think I'll go!

Only I don't love her English releases @_@

Crystal_Ageha 1st November 2009 01:05 AM

So, it seems like half of us are going/want to go, not because we like what she'll be singing, but just to see Hikki, hah. She's awesome, to make us want to pay up good money just to watch her sing a bunch of songs we don't like. :laugh

omably 1st November 2009 07:12 AM

^I'd go even if she was there singing songs by The Wiggles or The Teletubbies... Wait, do the teletubbies even speak english..?

amorphose 1st November 2009 12:47 PM

Gosh! XD Am I the only person that likes her English music? hahaha

hpg23 1st November 2009 02:47 PM

^amorphose: You have the best set ever. HERO has grown on me finally thanks to you xD

She can sit there in her pajamas with her bear, start coughing for a minute, stand and go out of stage, and I will die happy.

For those familiar with the O2, can you buy the tickets over the internet? Because I want to buy them right when they go on sale to get first row seats *-*

Well, if she goes to Seattle on 21st, San Francisco 24th and Las Vegas on 30th, there's surely a Los Angeles or Californian date around 27th

Polyrhythm 10th November 2009 12:49 AM

Oh yeah. Some of the venues have age restrictions. Only the Seattle one and the San Francisco one don't so far :weep. I cant go to Las Vegas cause its 18+...wtheck utada! what the heck!

Miduhyo 10th November 2009 02:06 AM

How do you know what venues have age restrictions or not? Haha. I've never bought tickets before but I'm definitely going to go to the SF Fillmore on January 24th. I'm so excited cause I've never been to a concert before so for my first concert to be a Utada Concert is going to be... suh-weet! I'm so happy! :)

Polyrhythm 10th November 2009 04:06 AM

^Go to the livenation site on Utada's page. Click purchase ticket on the venue u choose and some of them have age restrictions (17+, 16+, ect.)

Miduhyo 10th November 2009 04:53 AM

Oh okay. Thank you! I can't purchase tickets yet until the 15th when they go on sale but hopefully I can still go (I'm only 16) is there by chance if i'm accompined with a parent or someone over 18 I can still go? Anybody know (sorry I'm a little off topic but I really REALLY want to go)

Polyrhythm 10th November 2009 04:56 AM

Anyone else for sure going? Now since I know that SF is to all ages I'm definitely going to be there.

Same here. :( I'll be really astonished if she chooses not to play in either Pittsburgh OR Philadeliphia. Astonished, and very sad. :thud

I'm going to the NYC show since she isn't coming to Pittsburgh or anywhere in this general area. I'm upset I've got to travel, I'm so super excited to see her!!
