Swear is such a big bore. I'm disappointed in the single. It didn't fail as much as BALLAD, but it just wasn't good. The instrumentation for both songs are really nice though.

woah, her threads are moving quickly. so to repeat myself Beauty is amazing and
deserved to be a single more than Swear. I think Swear is a nice change, but ... honestly I didn't have wish for to change her epic ballads into sweet songs. I hope my life has epic ballads like Ashita e no sanka. I love how Beauty is so dreamy and can't believe its not on the album. |

anyway, I liked both BALLAD & Swear... I thought they were good songs. It's not a surprise that Swear flopped in the charts, considering my life's coming like 2 weeks later. |

Wow. So I finally listened to Swear in 320 kps and I have to say... it really depends on the quality.
I HATED Swear at first. But I actually like it now that the higher quality version came out <3. And the PV does it absolutely no justice. |

Finally listened, and I like Beauty a tad more than Swear. I really enjoy both songs though, kinda like how I enjoyed Hitomi Shimatani's SMILE. Totally not her typical style and pretty generic considering past releases, but it totally suits her voice well.

I gotta laugh how everyone LOVED Swear when the preview came out, and when the full came out it was "HORRIBLE AWFUL I HATE IT" lol. The same thing happened with BALLAD.

I love her ballads, just BALLAD was...well...boring :3 Hitsoutsou was interesting because alan sounded so pure and emotional <3 in BALLAD She sounded dead, bored out of her mind, and sounded like she didn't want to record the song.

Since November 3rd is a public holiday in Japan, all November 4th releases are charted one day earlier (on November 3rd) with bad sales. for alan, well she "debuted" at #26, then she fell to #31 on November 4th itself... :no not unexpected though.
Anyway, my life would have many pop songs? Seems like a change in direction for alan - I love pop! Hopefully there would be an epic Sarah Brightman gothrocksymphonia genre song! *cough*mylife*cough |
I think alan is still trying to find her bearings in the music world, she knows she's good at those epic ballads by now, so now she's trying to branch out and try some different stuff, I hope lol <3

^true. I don't want her to end up like chihiro onitsuka who, although sings terrific ballads, cannot sing upbeat songs! So I don't mind if she experiments as long as she doesn't go towards kawaii pop. On the other hand, I'm really glad she released an upbeat song like swear, at least it's a break from those ballads! But yeah, I'm hoping for more ballads in her album :)

she could do Kawaii pop, though, I'd rather her do something else. I wouldn't mind a Kawaii pop song every now and again though :3 I don't think she could really do anything more electronic then BRAVE and it sound good though. Everyone would ***** and complain :3

^exactly =D I love that about Swear, it's just so light and happy. Everything she does is so grandiose and epic. It's good, but it's nice to get a change every now and then :3

I'm in need to image up my iTunes, the only ones that have covers are Shiawase/Chinese version of Shiawase and the chinese album x_x The alternate PV for Swear was rather... disappointing ._. A lot of it was close up shots of alan in her first outfit, and they completely cut out the third alan, and the second verse/chorus of the song, they skipped right from the first chorus to the bridge section |
I never liked alternate versions PVs of any kind... X_X, and oh I request HQ cover for Swear - we need that, so badly!
