cool! i'm interested in seeing ayu, koda kumi, and ai otsuka :yes

Neko★munication 23rd November 2009 07:24 AM

No Namie? :\ She might have really been able to help the Red team this year. *sigh* And I was sure with Momusu's exposure this year they'd be in, but nope.

Crystal_Ageha 23rd November 2009 07:34 AM

^ Probably just mad about the tattoo thing.

So, ayaka's really gonna perform..? Awesome! ^_^ But no AI? :( Oh well. Ayu and Kuu's there, so woot!

Mr. Goto 23rd November 2009 07:38 AM

White team is so winning again this year, oh well. Looking forward to Ayu, Smap, and Kuu's performances.

mcluva420 23rd November 2009 07:40 AM

no wonder white team wins all the time, they got all the bands :rolleyes

this is about the same people as last year im guessing? well, this year, i can watch it while knowing who a bunch of more people are <3 :yes

thanks for posting! :heart

If it is because of that, then I can at least understand her principles behind it. It would be different if they were just meaningless tattoos, but hers at least seem to have a deep importance to her and Kohaku had allowed her to show them in the past as well.

It also seems like Ayu wasn't aware that her tattoo wouldn't be allowed at the last minute either since hers had tape over it last year, when normally they would take the time to airbrush it.

The selfish part of me though wishes that Namie would just perform anyways. :) I think she can definitely be counted on for the Best Artist show again at least this year, since that will coincide with her release date.

nemesisyume 23rd November 2009 08:28 AM

yay for
Perfume
ayu
Mika Nakashima
kuu
Kaela Kimura
Ai Otsuka

the others I really don't care about :shrug

aloopy 23rd November 2009 08:52 AM

no Namie once again :( as expected..

aleast there's Ayu and Mika Nakashima. :)

edit: omg no alan and Miliyah Kato either... sucks

KarenPang 23rd November 2009 08:54 AM

ok the one that really surprised me was NYC boys

seriously ? They're a temporary unit but now I kinda doubt it & I really feel so sorry for Hey ! Say ! JUMP :(

anyway most of my fave artistes are on the list except for the lesser well known ones that I support like BREAKERZ .___. but it's nice that ayaka will be attending/performing before she goes on her indefinite hiatus

also go go Fukuyama Masaharu-san :cool & congrats to the 1st timers like Yusuke & flumpool :heart

UHPlus 23rd November 2009 02:26 PM

Namie rejected it most likely because she spent her New year eve with her son instead of with work...

hearted 23rd November 2009 04:49 PM

^ aww thats seriously so sweet of her :love

yay for ai, kuu and toho :yatta

miroro 23rd November 2009 04:53 PM

i just caree about tohoshinki, ayu and Arashi :heart
i'm so happy for them!! it's gonna be their first time!

If that were the case she wouldn't do the CDTV New Years show either, but she has done that one several times.

yuki_unmei 23rd November 2009 07:16 PM

yay for Ayu, Ai, Kuu, and Mika :heart

Beauty4123 23rd November 2009 11:49 PM

No, the CDTV one is live. That is why Ayu usually had an even busier new years night. She'd go from NHK to yoyogi to the CDTV live.

Last year, Namie's performance for it was pre-recorded, but prior to that she was part of the live show.

TITANIC 24th November 2009 02:18 AM

^ ohh. I was thinking that show was pre-recorded as well. well yeah, not much attention I will spend for kouhaku this year. only Ayu and Ayaka and still no chance for Red team to beat white team

dreamland2.0 24th November 2009 02:22 AM

yay!! Can't wait for Ayu, Perfume, Nana Mizuki and Arashi!!

NintendoHTF1242 24th November 2009 03:20 AM

Yay for Angela, Ai Otsuka, Mika, Kuu, Perfume and Ayu. Don't really care for everyone else tbh...

freedreamer 24th November 2009 03:33 AM

With ARASHI..i see the white team winning for the 214347278 time in a row

Polyrhythm 24th November 2009 03:55 AM

^5th...lets not over exaggerate :rolleyes...

taskinillusion 24th November 2009 04:13 AM

Yay Red Team!!, but yeah, with all those boy bands on the White Team, ugh, they don't stand a chance.

KarenPang 24th November 2009 04:17 AM

I'm naturally happy for ARASHI being their upcoming/1st appearance at Kouhaku but I'm not so sure if I want to watch it

after all it's assumed that they will make their way later on in the night for the Johnny's countdown just like TOKIO & the thought of sitting though an entire Kouhaku event to watch it's just D:

DA1SUK1DAY01691 24th November 2009 04:20 AM

By the way, the theme is 歌の力 ∞ 無限大 (Uta no Chikara (infinity symbol) Mugendai), or "The Power of Song - Infinity" :D

I'm excited for flumpool and Remioromen!!

KarenPang 24th November 2009 04:26 AM

oh the theme sounds cool & YES I'm excited for flumpool also :D

it's their 1st Kouhaku appearance too *________*

I sure hope they sing a song from their upcoming debut album What's flumpool ?!

I want Frame ;_____; but Misumetetai will be great & so's Hoshi ni Negai wo

if they do Natsu Dive with all the dancing I will start laughing so hard at them :lmfao

dreamland2.0 24th November 2009 04:31 AM

hmmm I guess Nana Mizuki will sing her song Mugen then, as it relates to the theme!!

Which means they should be on pretty early, so you won't have to suffer through most of the show. :)

I've grown to appreciate Kohaku. I used to feel the same way, just being bored and fast forwarding to the artists I like. But now, I've at least learned to appreciate other forms of Japanese music for what they are. Still does occasionally get boring though. :)

emi♡ 24th November 2009 07:44 AM

Is this the confirmed set list as well? I mean, the order?

I really wish the females would win...

yeah this's the finalised list for the Kouhaku event , Sabrina

SunshineSlayer 24th November 2009 12:12 PM

^ She meant is this the order they will perform in. It's not the performing order. Ayu wouldn't be that late in the show.

I'm pretty sure that Namie's performance from last year was pre-recorded (?). The show itself is live though.

maze 24th November 2009 08:07 PM

Yay for Kuu, Ayu, and Ai-chan :luv2

^That's what I said. :) Last years was prerecorded, but every other year she was on the show it has been live.

amorphose 25th November 2009 08:58 PM

Wow... Ayu is the only person I care to see this year. :(

Maybe Ai too, depending on what she performs? I haven't been following her recently.

I just don't like male Enka singers. I don't mind female, but I don't really like male. Haha. I don't know why.

But yeah, for the most part I can watch the whole thing through. :D

asmAyumi1992 26th November 2009 07:13 AM

Good! Ayu is on the list.

Miduhyo 26th November 2009 07:42 AM

yay tohoshinki will be there! I'm so excited. This is a great list. Its going to be fun to watch! hope to see it! :) woot!

C+R+E+AYUMI 26th November 2009 01:38 PM

the RED TEAM is perfect!!

Midori-chan 29th November 2009 11:24 AM

YES, Ayu and Arashi! That's all I wanted to hear! ^.^

But they are not on the same team! -.-''

zyoeru 30th November 2009 12:11 AM

I'm excited about this Kouhaku, it'll be my second one! I'm happy so see a lot of my favourites performing. I'm going to watch this one in its entirety.
The theme sounds interesting. I wonder what Ayumi will perform. Most likely You were..., eh?

I love male enka singers. XD

hpg23 2nd December 2009 11:37 PM

So excited about this Kohaku! They better do it grand, last year was AWESOME! And artists always look/sound/perform their best, usually. The great annual J-Pop festivity haha

I really want to see it live this year, (nice time zones that allow me to see it live without being on the middle of the New Year party xD), but I don't know how! I know there's some kind of software you can install to see Japanese TV on your computer, can anyone help with that?

Bigtop 3rd December 2009 01:29 AM

KeyHoleTV?

waterballoon 7th December 2009 02:33 AM

I'm so happy that TVXQ are gonna perform omfgggg!!!

Bigtop 13th December 2009 03:55 AM

I'm just wondering again...will this year's Kouhaku use the famous yet complex "ball system" again for this edition, something we used in the 57th (2006)?

Bigtop 27th December 2009 04:15 PM

I just found out that the official order of artists for the Kouhaku have been released! Take a look: http://www9.nhk.or.jp/kouhaku/artists/index.html

And once again, how will the winner be determined? Will there be the "ball system" again - the first time since 2006 (the 56th edition)?

hpg23 1st January 2010 09:31 PM

is the whole show up for download?

emi♡ 2nd January 2010 06:50 AM

First half 37.1%
Second half 40.8%

First half had 1.4% higher than last year, while second had a 1.3% drop. In conclusion, the Kouhaku ratings are pretty much the same as before. :) I don't know individual performance ratings yet though.

Corvina 2nd January 2010 11:28 AM

Thanks.^^
That's pretty good, I guess.

Now I'm waiting for the individual ratings.

aloopy 2nd January 2010 08:26 PM

AKB48's performance was very enjoyable. I normally don't like idol groups and stuff but I love me some AKB :P
