Becky is going to be releasing her first single "Kokoro Komete" (as written on her official site) or "Kokoro Komete"/"Happy Happy" (as written everywhere else). IDK why her stage name is ベッキー♪#. I think she could have done with out the symbols. But whatever.

For those of you who have no idea who Becky is she is a popular Japanese tarento. She acted in various dramas like Stand Up!!, with Arashi's Nino and NEWS' Yamapi. And stars in various variety shows.

Ooo. She has a nice voice I think. I hope she does well, nice to see she writes lyrics.
The chorus of that song reminds me of an alan song..I think.

The "aitai" part reminded me of Kuu's "Moon Crying".

edit: wow, i'm surprised! she has such a nice voice! i think she also has the potential to sing other songs in the future (hopefully they won't all be ballads :laugh) i don't see a thread for her on other forums, so can you please keep me (or us :P) posted with any other information that may come out, mishelle? :) i know i'll forget otherwise, lol.

I was too but she did release 3 singles prior to "Kokoro Komete". Two of them were for Pokemon and I'm not sure what the other was for. But this is her first major-label single.

Aww I've always thought Becky was so adorable. She seems popular since she's always on TV and at the top of many polls so maybe she'll be successful as a singer too.

I think she added the ♪♯　to the end of her name to differentiate between her acting and singing careers or credits. Or maybe she just wants to be separated from her previous material (the Pokemon theme songs, the Avril Lavigne cover) as a singer in the same way BENI did.

NEWS:
"Happy Happy" will be the new opening theme song for the anime Crayon Shin-chan.
"Kokoro komete" is as of now the #60 best selling song @ iTunes Japan.

Btw, Becky wrote the lyrics to Kokoro komete, Happy Happy, and she wrote and composed the B-side WBC. I'm really getting into her, I always thought she was adorable and I had seen her in TV shows but she's a great singer too~

According to fan-net Becky will be releasing a new single, "Suki Dakara" (好きだから) on February 3, 2010 and her debut album Hikari no Hoshi (光の星) on February 24, 2010.

The second single has been confirmed by her label. The album however has not been.

TBH, I wasn't expecting a rock song. I thought it was going to be a was going to be a ballad but it sounds good so far.

Suki dakara sounds pretty good, I guess it shows us that she can do multiple genres. :D

Her live voice is just as good as the recorded version. Many singers can't do that// For a moment I even thought it was lip synced but she mest up on the ending of the second video so it's real *o* !
