i absolutely LOVED this actress in LIFE (amazing drama, you must watch it!) so i'm actually really happy she'll be starting a music career, especially on avex! :D

Her cover of LIFE was kinda flat....Her voice is not that special but she's a good singer....and she's pretty and likeable. Hope to be following her in the future

It's a very nice song! I like the simplicity and pink of the covers :D. Reminds me of Utada's Ultra Blue photos.

She was amaaaazing in the drama for LIFE... but I listened to the cover of Mika's song before and... she destroyed it. Her recorded voice is better though. She's such a good actress and she's super cute though!!

I'm kind of excited for her, but after listening to that preview...I'm a little afraid that she's going to get lost amongst all the other japanese female solos who are trying to release music that sounds just like that, because there isn't really anything special about the sound.

Her picture kind of reminded me of utada hikaru...not just the colors though, but the image as well...and it soo doesn't go lol

her voice surprised me. it's pretty good! i really wasn't expecting a lot, but i think she has a good voice for one of those "actor turned singer" type musicians. i love the song too (even if it has a distinct "avex" sound to it, LOL).

i'll be looking out for new releases! :)

I wonder if avex are going to make an overseas version for sakura saku. Sometimes they do for a new artist, and then when it's not profitable, they stop making them.

The booklet pictures are nicer IMO....the photobook ones are kinda unecessary...just another marketing scheme by avex....the pictures are not as nice as the booklet ones...and they are kinda unflattering....especially this one:

I was looking for this thread, and then I searched, and found out that it was moved to the Artist & Band section, which is good.

Anyways, I am looking forward to her MS performance next week!

I like Kii as an actress...but IMHO she's far from perfect as a singer, as that MS performance also shows. The song itself isn't that great to begin with and her voice sounds weak. She looks really nervous and stiff. I hope she will improve, since her sales are also good. There is hope.

"hanataba" was written and composed by Tetsuya Komuro. This will be his second work since his return.

^ He was involved with that huge tax thing or whatever. I can't describe it but every one of his songs' he composed were blacklisted or something like that XD Umm I'll let someone else explain. Just know he got into big trouble that involved the courts and whatnot.
