I am so excited for the Can We Go Back PV. Even though I don't think it will be this Jeanne D'Arc-like as it is described. As far as I can see on the pictures.. the only thing the pictures and the figure Jeanne have in common is this image of a strong woman. But I'm looking forward to that! And to the new BEST as well, I like the tracklist and I am happy looking forward the new studio album, yay! :D I'm getting the 2CD+DVD version for sure, even though I like the 2CD Cover best, it's so cuuuute! |

i think the tour for this will be really interesting because she will have to sing her older hits as well as promote the new album! i hope her biggest hits won't be smashed into medleys again...

It sounds a good way to release this album, but it shows how bad is the market in Japan now. This album can separate two different albums, but it might not good in sale.

Is anyone else incredibly bummed over Alive getting cut? x_x the PV was gorgeous, and very different from her usual. Physical Thing PV is just a GaGa-rip-off-looking thing. ><

I'm excited for the new single, her English sounds absolutely flawless and that's a great thing! Great sound. The covers of the new best are cute, but very Namie-rips-own-album-picture ish xD tho Kuu already did it before with the cover of "hands" single.

Now, I really like Alive, it's relaxing and it's not boring anymore like some Kuu's ballads. And its PV is very beautiful ^^

hmm I didn't notice Alive wasn't included. I also think Driving should be included, it's great! Tho it's included on the mix album and on Trick, I think they don't wanna over-do it maybe and put it on this new best album as well? ... maybe :s

Alive is a really good song for me to listen to while falling asleep... not because it's boring but because it's really relaxing and it has a lovely melody. KUMI's vocals sound so nice in it, too. :heart

I think it's kind of funny that people are complaining that the album is full of singles. @_@ Of course it is, in Japan, best of = singles collection. It doesn't matter what you call it. That's just how it works there. XD
I've seen very few "best ofs" that weren't merely a singles collection. In fact, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is A BEST 2 since that had a lot of album tracks. |
it'd be really hard for an album track to really become a HIT since the songs on singles are the ones with the most promotion, whether it be live peformances or the promotional video. they're the songs that are mostly known even if you don't purchase the album.

Cherry Girl side was the weird like... collage of the scenes and then the other side was KUMI in a kimono. it would be awesome if they could do different things for the BEST and then for UNIVERSE.

I just happened watching her Let's Party vol. 1 (it was released before TRICK if i'm not wrong) It's the top 5 songs that her fans in Yokohama chose (for best PV, song you want to listen while driving, best dance song, song that you want to listen with someone you like) And most of the songs on the BEST ~3rd UNIVERSE~ are in the top 5 Koi no Tsubomi Ningyo-hime With your smile BUT FREAKY girls Ai no Uta anytime Moon Crying So, it does make sense now that the songs were chosen based on fan-choice and yeah, it's 4,000 not 4 million or 40 million |

oooh I FINALLY understand the first post's tracklist for BEST ~Third Universe~ & Universe! After checking her official website to help me from my confusion, lol. I thought that the 2CD+DVD version had some alternative tracklist for the BEST CD, but that tracklist was the DVD tracklisting, lol. It all makes sense now :D
I'll be buying [2CD] or [2CD+DVD], depending on the price :) (and I like the 2CD cover way better) I don't own anything of Koda Kumi, so this will be a good first step! By the way, any news on first press? What does she usually have as first press for her studio / BEST OF albums? Cardboard sleeve? Poster? I'm curious :) |
I just heard the preview for "Can We Go Back" and I think it sounds pretty good. I haven't gotten into a Kuu release since TRICK (actually TABOO, really) so I'm really glad that this sounds promising. :yes
I can't believe she's coming out with another best album or another full album. haha She flies compared to other artists I listen too~ Oh well, as long as it's good? |

You know, after a while it's going to be pointless buying her original albums if she's going to release a compilation album every year or so. However, the package deal is pretty good if you're a Kuu-fan that hasn't bought anything in the last two years.
I just don't like the covers for the BEST album. The wigs she's wearing are pretty cheap looking imo. |
^ I didn't think she was wearing a wig.. if she is it's the most realistic looking one she's ever worn.

^ I also was sure that was real hair! 'Cause I mean, I can always tell whenever Kumi has a wig on. Because for whatever reason, whether they're cheap, or she doesn't fit with wigs, or whatever, they don't usually look too natural. So that's why I figured it was her real hair, hah.

The thing is.. if you buy the 2CD only, you'll only be paying.. what.. $5 extra than what you would for TRICK CD-only so to me, it's a good value. But yea, the option of getting the studio album on its own would have been good for other people.

If Step Into My World is not an Intoduction there it will be kuu's first studio album that won't have a special introduction T_T. Also why is she having another song named Believe? She has Belive on secret then why having a different song with the same title? Doesn't it make secret's Believe be a bit meaningless since "Believe" for kuu is going to be something else? Oh well. |
