Hmm.. there were a lot songs I cried listening to at some time, but that depended on my mood.
Songs that make me feel sad or make me cry when I am in the mood more often are fated untitled ~for her~ Curtain call walking proud Together When... [EDIT (just remembered)] M is this LOVE? Moments (classical) [and some more but they don't come to my mind right now.] But how I said, I can listen to them and be perfectly happy but if I am sad already they're gonna make me cry for sure. |

I think the only songs that have made me cry are fairyland (I'm a baby and I cry like every time I watch this PV, when the tree house burns down at the end T__T), JEWEL, and HOPE or PAIN... My eyes teared up when I watched BALLAD for the first time, but I think that was more like "Yessss Ayu I love you for releasing this <333" than "Saaad song ;__;" |

I noticed that I don't have that emotional connection to her newer songs, even though I love many of them but they're not as poignant as these (btw I'm not saying her new music is better/worse). |

momentum - It's a good thing we've not had this live, because I would actually flood. I don't cry everytime I hear it but sometimes I play this and I really feel it!
Oh and also Replace - because I rarely listen to it, I tend to cry when I do hear it. I think this will pass though. and I've cried at all the usual suspects when watching the concerts ;p |
Usually I cry really easily, but songs rarely make me cry. There's two songs from Ayu that made me cry and they are Dearest and Untitled ~for her~. Dearest is my all-time favorite song from her, and the lyrics are so pretty. I also think Dearest has a lot of emotion. Untitled ~for her~ isn't one of my favorite songs from Ayu or anything, but the meaning behind it is so pretty that I can't help but cry.

hanabi episode . not really the song, but the video. especially at the end when she's literally crying and shaking right after she finishes singing. God it is just so sad and powerful. Raw emotion for you right there.

Films, books, songs etc. haven't caused tears to me. So I never cried because of some of Ayumi's beautiful lyrics, songs, performance. But there is one and only song which touched me. It's forgiveness, in my opinion the best Ayu's ballad because of its harmony, calmness and magic.

BALLAD is officially the first ayu song (or anything) that made me cry. Maybe cuz I love it so much, I was like living the song for a while. I had a dream and woke up crying and stuff and it all related to the song. Then I went to look up the translation and cried even more :weep

Only a couple of songs have actually made me cry:
ASFFX didn't make me cry until I read the lyrics. They were so emotional and even the title allows you to put someone of choice in that place, I immediately thought of my own momma like Ayu was speaking of hers. It was the most beautiful thing, I'm actually getting teary now, lol. Days was the first time I saw Ayu cry in PV (I had just recently became a fan) and she looked so pitiful, it really got to me. :( There are Ayu songs that DO provoke something in me when I hear them though not enough to cry but are just heavy: Rainbow (I do occasionally tear up on this one) Because of You Hanabi ~episode 2~ (This one also almost brings me to tears) momentum forgiveness (don't) leave me alone Powder Snow Voyage appears Next Level |

I'm sorry to say this, especially because I'm a super sentimental person, but Ayu songs don't make me cry. Why? Because I don't understand the lyrics unless I read the translation, so it's hard to really grasp the emotion being put into the vocals and the music when I'm not understanding what she's saying right away. I don't know, the language barrier kind of ebbs away that special emotional experience, if you know what I mean.
Now does this mean I don't find Ayu's songs to be touching and sentimental? Of course not! If I understood right off the bat, I'd say Memorial Address ~Take 2 version~, HANABI, and MY ALL would probably choke me up....and that's just from what I can recollect as having sad lyrics, but I'm sure there's more. |

There is one song I always get goose bumps from (and sometimes wet eyes) and that is "Endless sorrow". Everytime I listen to that song, I kinda see those innocent and desperate eyes of that little boy moving his lips to Ayu's voice, searching for someone that would listen to him.
I already asked myself why I do not get emotional by most of Ayu's song but by "Endless sorrow". It has to be the combination *perfect musicvideo* plus *perfect song*. I don't know xD |
