I bought this for $1 today

So I was browsing around one of the Book Off's in my town and I came across this wonderful little ayu book for 105 yen:

http://i50.tinypic.com/2pq7ukm.jpg

I was so surprised when I found this. And not to mention it's in pretty good condition for being like 10 years old! I wiped off the surface dirt that was on the outside of the plastic and the book's cover, which wasn't much. It was mostly on the spine of the book, but it all came off in a few swipes of a damp cloth.

The style book's glue is pretty much gone so those are rather loose. But they just look like post cards now, so it's not like they were ripped or anything. (unless they're supposed to come out??)

And the fact that this was about $1 USD is amazing to me.

I'm sure most people have seen these images before, but I don't know, I thought it was cool. haha.:innocent

Mirrorcle 10th January 2010 02:28 PM

The left side of the second to last photo doesn't look like Ayu really, lol...
Neat find! =D

nanakopy87 10th January 2010 02:37 PM

Picaflor 7/4 10th January 2010 03:28 PM

ayu, in a black afro, looks so weird. so this is just basically a fashion photoshoot book? Never heard of it. what does 2021 mean? all over her stuff from around her first 3 albums, I always see these random numbers along the sides or something.

Heavenly 10th January 2010 03:38 PM

there's also a Book-Off in Paris... i want to go there so bad T___T

AyuGAME 10th January 2010 03:43 PM

I never saw that book before, nice that you got it for a low price.

gallowsCalibrator 10th January 2010 06:41 PM

Oh my gosh... $1?! That is so amazingly lucky, seeing as most of the Ayu stuff I buy costs like...$100 total cuz of shipping and stuff XD

That's a great find!

JackieRos 10th January 2010 07:13 PM

Empry 10th January 2010 07:38 PM

Great finding ^^

Bookoff is really heaven for j-music fans. When I was in a Bookoff in Shibuya I could have bought at least 20 Ayu singles in a very good condition for 105 yen for each one. And in a Bookoff in Yokohama I purchased the Complete Live Box with 4 DVDs in great condition for just 6950 yen <3

Jennie Mae 10th January 2010 08:39 PM

Wow, how lucky!
I got that book in 2004 for about $20, and I thought I had the good bargain!!
Enjoy ^_^
