Eh, I'm not big on You're So Beautiful, at all. >_<' But I'm honestly not disappointed, because I wasn't expecting much from it, anyhow, with that title. :innocent It's not that this is a terribly sucky song, it's just that I'm sick of hearing so freakin' many of these types from Kumi, especially recently. >.<

I really liked the "You're so beautiful" performance. The song is nice, but I like the way she performed it more than the actual song.. it sounds like a b-side or a miley cyrus/hannah montana song lol

i like the ballad. it's pretty. but i wonder if kumi has ever thought about releasing an album without any ballads. she has more ballads than b sides and studio songs put together. XP

I actually think Koda Kumi would be more fun to interview just because she's more...laid back I think and like says more fun things lol...she's not more laid back than Hikki though...hikki is like super friendly, but kinda...nerdy artsy lol I think she should get an interview too though.
I feel like them two would be best, because it seems like ellen would be able to wing it more and not have to have set black and white questions. Ayu's kinda...all business lol Namie is more reserved. BoA would probably be a good choice too cause she's fun! Besides...if she did Koda, they could talk about Gaga...lol Maybe she could have them both! That would be awesome. |

I think much like Gaga's Speechless, this song is just better live. I had the live rip but I didn't like it, when I finally saw the live, I loved it LMAO. Just seeing her perform it made all the difference.

The chorus is lovely!! But I;m not sure if its something I will keep listening to. But the chorus is really nice. Not the typical ballad-y melody. There's something western about it too haha

I think You're So Beautiful is an amazing song! I really really love it, it gave me goosebumbs when I watched the live. The song is just so pretty! Oh, and I love how there's so many upcoming magazine appearances, I can't wait to see the pictures.

Step Into My World - WOW! She noes these intros work. ahhaa very "TRICK" i must say. SUPERSTAR - What's wrong with her voice!! >.< *pretends it doesnt exist* You're So Beautiful - I somehow like the live more! O.O shocking haha..But it's nice. The chorus is great. Feels like a typical Kuu midtempo song. Work It Out! - sounding AWESOME!! No Way - Hheh??? Can't really hear much. Don't think I'll like it. Stay - very Kuu lol. It's ok. Won't last long for me. She sounds strained. but maybe thats because of the low quality preview. Comes Up - Cute song again...no for me. UNIVERSE - I don't really dig the repeated "UNIVERSE" thing...but it sounds ok so far. Need to judge in HQ. Most looking forward to Step In To My World, Work it Out!, Stay, UNIVERSE Feels like another Kingdom for me.But we'll see. SUPERSTAR's PV is such a huge turnoff haha |

1. Step Into My World - I hate it when her intros do not set the mood for the album. This makes the album seem cooler than it actually is based on these previews. I like it. (why did she stop doing full versions of these?!)
3. SUPERSTAR - no. 4. You're So Beautiful - I didn't think much of this song at first but this may be the best track on the album for me. 6. Work It Out! - I don't know yet, it sounds interesting. 7. No Way - I was really hoping for Gaga's demo because then it actually had a chance of being really good... but until I hear more of this I'll have to go with BAD. 8. Stay - Although I like the old school feel, I'm gonna say no. 9. Comes up - Old school again, it sounds nice, but no. 12. UNIVERSE - The last album track and the best one. I can't wait to hear this one in full! :D The arrangement reminds me of Missy Elliott for some reason. Sounds like something she would do with her songs. All in all, this album is a big no so far. :no I'm going to wait until I hear the album in full to decide whether or not I'm going to purchase it, but as of right now, I can't see myself paying for this. Here's my "review" of the new ones, hah: - Step Into My World Ummm..... This doesn't just sound like TRICK, it IS TRICK... >_> Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, just... Well, you understand. ..Don't know how I feel about this. Because, yeah, I love TRICK, but the same interlude, just different lyrics..? Kuu, come on... - SUPERSTAR Oh, goodness. So cutesy and happy, lol. >.< Nah, it's not as bad as people made me think it'd be, lol! Not that I love it, but it's something I can listen to without shooting myself and such. XD (I'd definitely rather hear this than Alive. :yawn) And....... I actually really like the PV!!! :lmfao I mean, it's SO retarded that I like it! Seems really fun and random. Which I like, especially with Kumi. :yes - You're So Beautiful Oh my God, I didn't really like this when I heard it live, but with the studio, I actually like it a lot!! I think I may even grow to love it..? :O Either way, it's definitely a nice addition to the album, even I end up getting sick of it or something. ^^' - Work It Out! I don't like this nearly as much as I thought I might... It seems like it might get boring after a few listens... But whatever. It's sweet and all, but pretty meh in general. I'll probably end up confusing it with a few of her other less exciting ballades. And, unless I end up liking it ten times as much with the full version, I'll probably end up only ever listening to it as background music or something. :\ - Comes Up Another typical Kuu song, only this is one of the soft cutesy ones... This is my second least favourite. I'll DEFINITELY confuse this with a few others ones, because it totally sounds like I've heard it at least twice before... Oh well. -_-' - UNIVERSE A very fun sounding song with a lot of beats...but it's missing any oomph, it seems. :o Like, it'll probably grow on me a little, and it's not bad, but this will be the song I listen to the least out of the ones I like. It's interesting, just a bit generic. :\ - Moon Crying Live ver. In Taiwan Well.... If you liked Moon Crying, OBVIOUSLY, this will be a plus for you. Excellent vocals and such... Yeah. XD Overall: Definitely in the top five best Kumi albums! Comparing it to TRICK, I definitely like the overall feel of it more, and it will certainly get more plays (for me, at least). There are only three tracks that are 'eh', and, from what I've heard, I LOVE six of the tracks, which is already more than TRICK. my opinions of Kuu's music has really gone up & down for the past couple albums, but here goes...
Step Into My World: OH HAY TRICK, HOW R U. i like this though. but it's probably going to be the introduction. NOOOO. secretly hoping for a full song. SUPERSTAR: ...wat. You're So Beautiful: ehhh. i think it's pretty generic, tbqh. i even saw the performance & it didn't really do anything. Work It Out!: one of the stronger previews, imo. i always like rock though, aha. but i'll judge this properly with the full song. No Way: soooo glad this isn't a Lady GaGa cover. cuz GaGa needs to release that song properly, damn it! LOL. ok anyway, Kuu's song is pretty decent. but i think i'll like it in full. Stay: ...does nothing for me atm. Comes Up: dude, this reminds me of Namie Amuro's "Baby Don't Cry", wtf. :| UNIVERSE: this seems like the only album track that reminds me of "old Kuu". probably the best preview. Moon Crying Live ver. In Taiwan: no real opinion, really. never really liked the song. SUPERSTAR PV: ...no. basically...i'll wait for the whole album to properly judge it, but it's not looking good, imho. especially with this round of singles, nothing's really sparking my interest anymore with Koda Kumi. it's sad because i considered her my 2nd favorite j-pop artist just merely a couple years ago. :( but i wish her success and as long as she's happy, then i'm cool with it. :) |

I love it though, those kind of intros are the kind that I don't care if she would recycle :laugh Overall it sounds like it will be a great album *_* Some single songs could be taken off but it's fine because some new songs are really really good. ^-^ My least favorites from the previews are SUPER STAR and Comes Up. SUPER STAR PV looks awful from the preview, and kuu's hair as well. >_> |

um this is like the same composition as TRICK @_@ SUPERSTAR I think the song is super cute, and catchy...Her lower vocals I think make it interesting as a cute song...but it's not anything super special. Arrangement is typical, but effective for this type of song. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea lol You're So Beautiful This song is so american to me~ It reminds me of R&B like in 2000 or something like that, which is kinda why I like it. Same as superstar though, arrangement is typical, but effective. Work It Out! woah interesting. Heavy sound...I can't tell if it's going to be more Rock with the darker electro, or electro with heavy rock lol Which is interesting to me...The chorus isn't too special...so I think the verses will make or break this song. No Way Woah Talk about super R&B :laugh I think I'm going to really like that song...it reminds me of hiromi or something for those types of j-urban artists. But certainly not something I was expecting at all. I've been liking this medium-ballady R&B lately...so I think it's for me. Stay Sounds like a typical kuu ballad lol Seems like it's sweet, and I like the little melody in the back...but her "these-types-of-ballads" were never for me. Comes Up Another typical cute song...Not for me, but nice verses melody. She has some nice writers. They always seem to make new things for their genres that isn't weird. UNIVERSE It's a little too fun of a dance song for me lol "Put your hands up high..." is meh for me lol But I'll most likely like it lol So, I'm really excited for this album because I feel like it's a little more stable than her last couple. I never really know what to expect with her, because she does range across these urban genres, and I'm really happy with the super R&B stuff, because we havent really had a lot of it since way back when. She's been kinda sticking to her pop/dance/rock mixtures, with some instances here and there...like MORE, and Anata Ga Shite Kureta Koto, which no one seems to like :'(, himitsu? lol They have not been the most popular or best tracks though...but I like her take on R&B because it is different from the major R&B acts in Japan...so I'm very interested to see how these all play out. |

The previews I like the most are Step Into My World, You're So Beautiful, Work It Out! and UNIVERSE.
I really hope SIMW is a full song and not just an introduction. SUPERSTAR is cute but it's not really my cup of tea... I don't know what to think about No Way. It does nothing for me atm, I expected something different. I'll probably like it in full though. Stay and Comes Up sound pretty boring =/ Overall I like what I'm hearing, I'm quite pleased with the previews. Can't wait for the album! |

how do you guys decide that you don't like a ytrack
by simply listening to 30 sec. of it o_O previews don't do songs justice that goes for everyone (at least to me) save your opinions after you listen to the full song. but other than that I'm still excited for her new album even though I haven't listen to some of the previews! I'm trying to wait!! |
OH EM GEE I LOVEEEE THE UNIVERSE PREVIEWS!!! Except for Step Into My World and SUPERSTAR. SIMW is like trying to be Intro. for TRICK part 2 but fails so hard!!! and SUPERSTAR made my ears bleed.

SUPERSTAR = Another one of her boring pop songs. Like Chase. You're so beautiful = I haven't heard the live version yet. But this preview makes me excited for this song. It sounds promising. Work It Out! = Okay...I like the instrumentation. No Way = Preview didn't really showcase anything tbh. Stay = Wow, I'm actually kinda digging this R&B ballad. I think Kuu did good on this one. Comes Up = Another one of those cute songs...bleh UNIVERSE = Some parts of the instrumentation reminded me of Lose Control by Missy Eliot XD |

oh my god previews? how come while at home every time i come here or any forum, nothing ever happens? but as soon as i check in at school its always *bam* *new music video* *new song preview* *new live performance* *new photobooklet scans* and since i cant check during school it makes me wonder whether people time to release these things when i can't have them. starting to think it isn't a coincidence anymore.
Last time i was in school, the live performance of beautiful leaked, and before that, the music video for Defend Love came out, and before that, a preview of You Were... came out. Things always get released while I'm in school and can't have a listen. |
BUT to be honest Superstar is My most favorite track on album
I love the whole album but no way , comes up is my least favorite but my opinion will change completely after hearing the full songs so i just decide to pre-order the album this week or maybe next week *HMV JP Is cheaper than CDJAPAN so i think i'm going to buy From HMV JP is it fast enough like cdjapan , Basically Are they usually send the item before the release date ?* EDIT : SUPERSTAR is 100000000x Better than show girl and You are so beautiful too is better than JTWYA i think this album is more enjoyable than TRICK |
HMV Japan do ship out items before the release date of any album/single/dvd
in my case , I get my stuff from them 2-3 days after the items are shipped out . They only have EMS as their choice of shipment so yup for me I use HMV Japan if I buy 2 albums/singles because the cost I have to pay for 1 or 2 albums/singles is the same ie. 900 Yen |
