WORLD IS ONE

A fanbook from all Ayu's fans around the world.

The aim? To make a fanbook for Ayu from all her fans across the globe! The idea came up many times in the thread about the rumoured London trip: http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97339

When? If Ayu really does come to London at the end of this month, then, but it really isn't a lot of time so it's not practical! But we will get this to her somehow, and we want to give it to her in person!

The ideas are some that have appeared in the visit to London thread, and were the basis for this thread:


If anybody has ideas, or simply says they want to participate (so numbers can be judged) then post here.

Let's get this made, everyone! I can update this first post with details that get agreed definitely and problems that need to be solved. I'll try to form a sort of structure as it goes along. =X

Please Read the Following
1. --
2. Your page should be in EU A4, in pixels that's 2480 x 3508, it's okay if you use MM or other measurements. As HQ as possible please!! The size doesn't really matter, as TickTock can resize it, so the bigger the better!!
3. You can put ANYTHING on your page to Ayu!
4. You can allow your non-AHS friends to make pages, and involve people from other forums. Just PM me and I'll add a "+1" etc... next to your name.
5. Pages can be digital or hand drawn and can be anything you want to say to Ayu, please try to include why her lyrics have meant something to you!
6. A template was posted, if you want to use it, you can, however we would rather each person designed their own page.
7. Please write in English, or provide a translation to English of your native language if you like. To quote Ayu you can use the original Japanese.
8. Use any name you want, you don't have to include your username
9. DO NOT MENTION AHS Firstly, it's not just people from AHS, and secondly it's waaay to risky with the download sections.
10. If you want to just write a letter in a word document, that's fine too! It doesn't have to be arty.

We should send it to that address in case we're not done by the time she gets to London.

Anyways, as I said, we should all have an A4 or perhaps smaller? page to design and decorate the way we want to, we could write our names and location along with messages for her or what songs we love the most and why etc. (that has all been said, but I like the idea).

I think something like Gagadaily.com made for Lady GaGa would be cool.. with self-drawn pictures and letters.. the name could be A FANBOOK or A WORLD :)

Hm...I think the main focus should stay on how her songs moved the fans...because her lyrics are what shes known for. Of course there can be other things and drawings included too. A FANS would actually be nice. Or THE WORLD IS ONE(like asia is one)...cheesy xD

Yeah, it should be anything people want to do really. I think people would like an A4 page each, but that all depends on how many people want to do it. I guess we could if people are willing to donate to whoever wants to print it. Or maybe posting handrawn pages to someone who collects it all together with the digital?

I love the names, I think it definitely needs to be "A" something. Maybe something as a subtitle too?

I made an account for this subject. First off, I think it's very important that the book is delivered in person. Sending it over to the TA address can be done any day, but you won't be sure that Ayu actually receives it and won't get to see her reaction.

Secondly, I agree with Zelda-Maker. Everyone should have one page that they can fill with whatever they want (poems, comments, quotes, drawings, pictures, etc.). Then it is all put together in one big book. Someone in the other in the other topic said that we'd get 1000 replies, but I think that we'll get only 50-200. If you put two pages with their backs to eachother in a transparent sleeve, then that's already only 25-100 'pages' + they're protected.

Anyways, I live nearby London so I'm definitely going and my father is able to print for cheap at his work. I just thought I'd offer this, because in the other topic I saw someone complain about who was going to print it all and that it will cost money, etc.

A WORLD IS ONE - even though it's not grammatically correct, it's not worse than Distance Love xD and we could make a cute A logo with the planet texture xD

oh and I am not sure if us sending the pages by mail is a good idea, although it's more fair, as that might take ages :(

Poll yes, great idea! Just let people's A LOGO and designing skills take flight. That's the best, and easiest, way to do anything.

In that case we should act as fast as possible! So I guess you should add the things we agreed on (if we did xD) to the first post and let people know where to send their pages xD

For handrawn pages, yeah. It's the only way really. It would be AMAZING to have the actual pages, but as someone said, it's not really possible.

We should let people, I guess if they're willing to pay for the shipping. It'd be a bit awkward though if we get them all to someone in London and she doesn't come. o__o

I just got inspired for a cover, you know how A COMPLETE has Ayu holding a flag of her single covers? How about some modifications, a bit of Photoshop, to make some sort of A holding a flag of flags? We'd still need an A logo for it, however.

Scanning, it's easier and much safer, or just made digitally. We don't know who will be collecting it all together or anything like that yet.

I'm going to start an "interested" list, I've made some assumptions on responses.

Yea, I think scanning is the best way. Then there's no way you can accidentally rip the original, but you can make backups. ^^ Also, you can make sure all papers are the same size. If people send stuff in, it might be too large or too small compared to the other papers and it will become messy. Especially if you put all papers in protective sleeves.

I think we could also participate from Ayu.no which has quite alot of members as well... And it's the biggest fanclub in Scandinavia AFAIK.

The flag with all flags is an awesome idea. That could be the back cover!!!

About the A logo in the front, I like the idea of the world on it, but I think it'll look cooler if it was something like the world at night... you know, a picture with the nightlights and such would look really divaish and sparkly and she would drool for it.

And please, don't let it be Japan on the globe A xD

Well you can put whatever you want on your page as long as it doesn't feature anything she might find offensive :D And I don't think there would be a problem for people from other forums to participate? I also like the idea with AC pic and the flags, we need a skilled PSopper (th, ownsarai and others?)

and I volunteer on making it, I mean, like send me the pages if you want, or whatever, I want to help on whatever... I know a place where they can make a book, I printed there a research work and the result was GREAT, you know, it looked like a book ^^ but of course this project costs some money... but with everyone it would be nothing, not even 1€!! you know??

Oh this is a great idea. I believe we should allow memebers to decide which color they want their page to be -- Either Black and White, Sephia, or Colored? It would make for an intresting book. also I am in agreement with the A4 page size, I do strongly feel there is in need of a template for the pages so they aren't all cluttered and messy.

I went ahead and made a page template that would be a great idea to follow. the size of the page is A4.

The page sections are:

+ A Message for Ayu: basically your message to ayu would go here.
+ Personal Quote: A PERSONAL QUOTE that is your own will go here.
+ Top 3 Favorite Songs: your 3 favorite songs will go here.
+ Advice for Ayu: Any advice you have for Ayu will go here.
+ What you admire most about Ayu: What you admire most about her will go here.
+ Your Country: the country you live in will go here.
+ Name and age: Name and Age will go here.
+ How has Ayu changed your life?: how ayu has changed your life will go here.
+ Photo (optional): In case any of you want to put your photo here.

lol I remember when a bunch of tried to this a couple of years ago... thankfully she's actually traveling a bit more and there's a better chance we can give this to her, hah.

Can we mail these to people, or do they have to like... digitally-made, or scanned and then sent to the person who's printing them? It would definitely be more authentic if we were able to hand-do them and send them to the person who's putting the book together. I would definitely put up a bit more money so I could get it to the person quicker!

Also, can someone re-up the A4 example in another extension (.jpg or .gif preferrably; my computer can't open .psd files)?

It would be wonderful if Ayu realizes how many fans has around the World, even if someone only wants to send her a short message like "I <3 Ayu" would be good, that's a very nice way to give her all our support.

^ yes all you have to do is fill in the blanks with Photoshop or another image editing program like gimp. You can attach it to your post.. and a person quote is a saying that you use in your life personally such as... "to be happy with the person I am and not be someone who I am not".. that would be an example of a quote..

The original idea was that everyone should design their own page and not have a template, as the template itself allows us to be less creative :P Not to mention that the final "product" will look like boring documentation...so people don't have to use any templates, be original and creative.

People can use programs like Photo Shop, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp even Paint Brush and Microsoft Word.

oh.. haha shows how smart I am *wasn't paying attention*.. I was only thinking with logic since I though It might get really messy.. hahaha

so should us continue with the template or just make a new random one ?

Well I thought we should make it a bit more personal, people can still use your template as a guideline if they don't know what to put on their page, as your idea wasn't bad, but when it comes to design I think everyone should think of one by themselves even if it might turn into a mess, it'll look more interesting in the end :) So that pretty much answer's nathz's question too~

Honestly.. i am not sure.. if you want to I guess It would be ok.. maybe be more creative with it though? or do something entirely different.. I guess the choice is ultimately up to you.

Maybe we should make a poll for the decisions? ^^ Some of the designs here have been mediocre at best (no offense!), and a template seems like a very restricting idea. Not to mention that the font on that template is huge.

Anyways, I don't mind if I print it out or not, but pleaase give the task to someone who is definitely trustworthy. Not someone like last time with Paris, or someone who ends up actually being able to go only one day to London as opposed to what he/she said before.

Since I know Japanese too... should I write it English or Japanese?
I can't use graphic programs so I think I'm going to use this template ^_^ I really hope Ayu will read it someday ^__^

^It's not necessary to use any graphic program since you can write in a real paper and scan it ^^

I like the template but I also agree that it would be a little boring to read like... ¿100 pages? with the same desing, and more if you imagine to read it in real paper not at the computer. So I thin that people who wants to use the template it's OK but better if you can change it a bit or make a completly different way.

I have a one question... I downloaded a template, but I want to make it in my free form... Of course all of template options will be included... But can I make it in my own way?... I don't know will I give my photo.

well.. imo everyone should be free to do the page as they want... it's a bit.. serious or... how to say.. like professional or like a curriculum vitae doing that template.. the ideas are nice, I mean, say 3 favourite songs, etc... it's just that maybe everyone has their own idea of what to say to Ayu... you know?? everyone is different, maybe someone wants to put pics of their ayu collection, or simply write a long letter to Ayu, or use colors, etc...

So imo people should do digitaly or handmade an A4 page with whatever they want ^^ and doing color pages is a bad idea... think that ONE person will have to print it, and to print a color page uses a lot of tint... I mean, that person will have to spend a lot of pages doing that, tint, and also the money of making the book... we should think of that, no?

THAT TEMPLATE IS JUST THE IDEA OF ONE USER HERE, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE IT, YOUR PAGE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO BE SIMILAR TO IT AT ALL. IT'S ACTUALLY BETTER TO DO SOMETHING COMPLETELY FROM SCRATCH.

No offense, and even though I think what you're offering to do is great, but if you're not even sure that you're going to print them, why offer to do so? We should have someone who is definitely going to print off the pages and put this whole thing together.

But one of us print pages, put them together and send to TA's address?
Or just give her the book, when she's in London?

What I'm thinking though is, whoever is going to print the pages what are you going to put them in? Are you thinking of buying a book kind of like scrapbook to put the pages in all together??

It's okay to write something, too. So you can use Word or a free alternative(OpenOffice for example)
