^the hotel website said the bath has spa functions too..all sorts of hydro massage and it changes color as well....so luxurious!

I guess we can pretty much confirm she's staying in this suite, since in the latest TA entry she's talking about that sculpture, where the A World Is One book is next to, in the entry way.

it's cool that she is staying in that room.. but such a waste of money, the only time I can really see the need to stay in a room like that is if you are going to be staying in london for 2 + monthes... but then again it's coming out of Avex's pocket, not Ayu's.

Well, considering Ayu's a multi-millionaire, she'd stay on a room like that (or even more expensive/luxurious) whether it was hers or Avex's wallet the one paying...
And probably she had several expensive requests as well, like security checks or a special bed, food, etc, etc.

The only reason Ayu is even a millionaire is because of all the marketing and promotion Avex put into her, not to mention any other stuff they did to get her where she is now (i.e Voice lessons, hiar, make-up, stylists') ... Let's not forget the target audience at the time of her Debut was mostly High School Girls, Younger Adults (20 - 25), and possibly even Pre-Teenaged girls. Let's not forget all the fans, etc.. that made her into what she is. I am not saying Ayu isn't talented.. but she certainly DID NOT achieve the imense success she has now on her own. I know that Ayu is a hard working individual and I highly respect her for that but to think that she achieved all of the success she has on her own is simply ignorant. Remember Ayu didn't even want to be a singer, she originally wanted to be a Fashion Designer.

Does anyone even remember the Nothing From Nothing Era in 1995? I all most wonder how that album and single would have done if there had been more promotion and marketing for it... after all the album didin't even chart.

Now how is it that 3 years later, ayu has become so popular? Heavy Marketing and Promotion. I believe it's impossible for Ayu to "live as a person with in avex"... this thinking is simply not logical. Avex is a Record label resposible for marketing and distributation of Products.. all of the people employed by avex (including Ayu) are products of Avex Trax (and in a way the consumer -- or customer), not of themselves. If you don't have a consumer base, you have no company, nor any products to sell.. therefore no jobs and with out available jobs, potential employee's have no money.

If Ayu had achieved all of this success on her own... I would honestly be amazed. In order for her to have achieved any success in the music industry.. she would have had to have taken: Music production, Sound engineering (in both Studio and Live), music theory, marketing and promotion, business management, etc.. on top of any basic programs that are needed before you are able to do any of these courses which several of these courses to get a degree in can take years (depending on the degree).. not to mention she would have most likely had to have come from a musical background of some kind, such as piano.. and would have had to have taken vocal lessons at some point. Oh let's not even forget she would have had to most likely pay everything out of her own pocket (unless she was able to get a grant or loan of somekind for school).

Let's not forget all of the money she would have had to invest in getting the proper audio recording equitment, which can easily cost thousands of dollars.
Any required licenses and certification she would need to even start up a record label (if she wanted to go this route). She would need to find the time to compose, write and record her music, burn in to CDs (or upload it to the internet) -- which takes time and money, she would need to find stores willing to display her products; which most likely she would pay them in exchange for displaying her products (which aren't even gaurenteed to sell), not to mention she would have to send sample discs to raido stations to be played on the air... let's not forget all of the other stuff that comes with promotion and marketing.

How do you get any product on a shelf to sell? Marketing and promotion. If you don't have marketing and promotion, tell me how well will a product be sold compared to one that has been markted and promoted? It simply won't stand a chance against a product which has been marketed and promoted in one way or another.

I agree with all you said... But at the same time, Ayu somehow built axex. I mean, more talented and manipulable artist walked through that company before, and none of them represented the 40% of their revenue as Ayu achieved...

Anyway, she's got the money for herself, none can say she did not work for it, and it doesn't matter if they're the ones responsible for her career... It's like saying Madonna is nothing for herself, just a product of Warner Records, simply an absurd statement.

And, by the way... I stayed at the Langham Hotel once (smaller room, of course) and I don't have a 1% of Ayumi's fortune... therefore, she could perfectly pay any hotel room herself in case avex denied to do so.

I think i should reiderate what I meant.. when I said product I mean that during the time that a person works for a company -- from the time they start work to the time they end... in a way they are a product working for that company... however when off the clock etc.. they are simply themselves... wait, this doesn't sound right either... what I was meaning to say made more sense in my head ,,, @_@

That room is surely stunning. It makes me want to re-do my apartment in that style. It's soo beautiful.

That room is an example of Ayumi herself. It's elegant, beautiful with a stunning view! I'm sure Ayumi picked only the best room, and she can afford it. Us the fans have given her that privilege to be able to live that way.

If we made her famous and rich and she didn't use the money in some way for us to see it wouldn't we feel bad that we've given her this perfect life and she chooses to not use our gift of financial freedom? Without us (The buyer) Ayumi Hamasaki would be just another person living in Japan.

let's just say that ayu is one talented and hardworking individual...plus a VERY LUCKY individual!!

I love how awesome fans are and how they're able to find everything easily :P This was originally an assumption of which room exactly it would be that she was in, and then by the look of the pictures from her blog, and stuff like that, it really ended up being the exact room!
