I'm crazy, sure, but after the success with A WORLD IS ONE book I feel like doing it, and I'm sure we can do it!! So let me explain what I'm thinking about! Objective I want to make a DVD (more than one) with lots of clips from as international fans as we can, and deliver it to Ayu or Ayu staff. Of course you can say what you want, but it has to be shorter than a letter, I think this is about to show our love to Ayu and show her that we are a lot and that we are all together more than tell her our life. Final date For me there's no final date. The book was thought to be ended for London, and, yes, we could put together 160 letters. But you all know that we are more than 160 fans. I'm reading how a lot of member that didn't send a letter regret it now. I don't want to have a final date because I want to have as many clips as possible, so that people will have time to do it, and everyone will know about that. When we will deliver it? I don't know... The next time Ayu will come to Europe? If some of us goes to Japan and see her staff? I don't know, but for the next time we will be able to give something to Ayu, we will have it done. EDIT! (29/01) Seems like a good idea to have a deadline. At least for the DVD crew. Maybe we can set 31st of august as a deadline to have the animation, graphics and all this done?? At the same time we have to collect the clips and subtitling them. After the 31 of august we will keep collecting clips until we know we can give the DVD box to Ayu. (So until that day, the names on the booklet can't be done, nor the final credits cause we'll keep adding names ^^) EDIT! (19/05) Deadline * 31 October: This deadline is not official. I mean that it can be changed. For now it's possible that I will go to CDL next December, and I hope we will be able to deliver it to Ayu. IF I CAN'T go, or IF we CAN'T deliver it to Ayu there, we will keep the deadline as unknown until the next oportunity ^^ so you would be able to keep sending clips. The deadline is this cause once you send the clips we will have to finish the subtitles so I wanna have enough time ^^ Participation As there's no final date, I hope everyone will do something, and I know that there's a lot of people here who are in other forums. Please, advertise this project so that everyone will know about it. We are a lot. Copy this text, talk about "A WORLD IS ONE" book and its success, show Ayu's pic holding the book or her post in TA!! The fact that we were able to give 160 letters to Ayu will show people that it's posible to do this kind of things!! What to do? I've read in the thread of the fanbook about doing a DVD, and someone also said that maybe people doesn't feel comfortable showing their face or talking... For the clip you can do anything you want: you can show your Ayu collection, show your town/city, your dog, a teddy bear... anything... you can record your voice, or show messages... or you can be in front of a camera and talk to Ayu!! Anything!! EDIT! (19/05) There have been a lot of people saying that they CAN'T record a clip. Of course, even if this project is to do a DVD, the objective is to show Ayu messages from many fans, so I don't want people to be left out just because thay can't record it. SO, JUST for those fans who can't record a clip, you can write a letter, just like in the book, 1 page, no more. I will do a little book with this letters. This is NOT a second option. YOU have to record a clip if you can, this is just for those who can't do it. And you CAN'T do both things. How to do it? * 1min 30sec max. clip (you can -and it would be more interesting- to speak in your language, you can show your face or not, your town/city, your ayu collection... what you want!) * No matter what language are you using, you have to send the English text of what are you saying on the clip (even if you speak in English) together with the clip. You don't have to do the subtitles, there will be people doing it, that's why we need the text. * There's no problem of how you record it, the DVD crew will convert them. * Also, do not worry about the subtitles, send the English text together with the clip, we will subtitle them ^^ * The clips have to be send to Hatix e-mail. * As with the book, don't say anything about AHS or other forums. REMEMBER Send you video with a text document with what you said in English! You can speak in every language you want, even japanese, suahili, I don't care XDD But english text please!! To do it easier for Hatix when sending your clip and english text put your NAME/USERNAME in the file name of both, the clip and the text. For example: Clip: aura~1.avi Text: aura~2.doc The result My idea is do a DVD for Asia, another one for Europe, N. America, S. America, Africa (I can't think of an AHS member from Africa but it's possible!!) and Oceania. Also there have been the idea of a DVD with extras. There have been a lot of ideas, like send fanmade clips, covers, etc... It's ok to do this and Ayu will find it amazing for sure hahaha For now I'm sure that it will have the non-selected introductory videos from the contest. But before doing extras I want to have the clips. So after the clips deadline (for now it's 31/10) there will be still 1 month to deliver extras ^^ All DVD's will go all inside a box (like A COMPLETE), inside every CD case there will be a cover saying the continent and inside a booklet with the names of the fans in that DVD sorted by country. There will be also a general booklet in the box with a little introductory text of what is this box, the info of who did what -credits- (the staff), the non-selected covers for the box, a collage with fans pics with the RnRC tattoo, and... I don't know, you can give ideas. Every DVD will have a menu to choose between countries. _____________________________________ Is an ambitious project, I know, but we can do it if everyone helps, for example talk about it to other forums... I started this project but I'll need help!! If you want to help with it, say it here and I'll count you in!! Also, people who will participate with the DVD (sending their clip) also say it here (and country) because I'll start a list. This is a project and this is what I thought about it, but if you have more ideas or suggestions, please say it!! ___________________________________________ As it seems you all like the idea, you can start advertising about it on your forum, website, blog, facebook, youtube... everywhere!!! Send the clips to this e-mail: hatix001[at]gmail[dot]com you can send a link for medaupload, mediafire, etc... ______________________________________________ UPDATE 29/01 - Hatix will recieve the clips, will resize them, change the format, and put them together by country in a unique file?? - Work to do: * The same introduction video for all the DVD, at the end of the intro there will be something (idea: DOME tour evolution glove opening adn showing the name of the continent) for the name of the continent. So only ONE persone have to do it... or we can accept clips and vote for the best??? * Animated menú for the DVD's (same for all or different depending on the continent??? only one person doing it or more??). In that menu Ayu will be able to select the countries. * 3D Ayu (alterna88 working on it) this will go before the clips of one country (f.ex: 3DAyu "Here you have video messages from Germany!!" and clips start. * Cover for the box and design for booklets and prologue-page (only one person doing it??) Also, Design for the DVD disc!! * Subtitles (people doing it, we have to agree on doign the same type of text, size, colour, position... for all clips) - for the booklets and cover there's no problem, I'll buy a booklet-type paper, and also for the DVD discs and print them! I'll record the DVD, but I hope people who knows about it will be able to put it all together (the intro before the menu, the 3D ayu before the clips of the respective country, etc..) UPDATE 19/05 - I decided to get the design (box, booklets, cover, etc...) and the video introduction that will come in every DVD with 2 contests as with the AWiO book cover. It's fair that AHS users select the one that they think is the best one ^^ So please, I hope you all will participate! As with the book, the non-selected works (covers) will appear in the booklet, and the video intreoduction in another DVD with extras (about the extras, there have been a lot of ideas, those will be done after the main things ^^) - We have 2 deadlines for now: * 31 August: for the design, intro, menu, etc... * 31 October: for you all to send the clips. This deadline is not official. I mean that it can be changed. For now it's possible that I will go to CDL next December, and I hope we will be able to deliver it to Ayu. IF I CAN'T go, or IF we CAN'T deliver it to Ayu there, we will keep the deadline as unknown until the next oportunity ^^ so you would be able to keep sending clips. The deadline is this cause once you send the clips we will have to finish the subtitles so I wanna have enough time ^^ - For now... I think I don't have to say anything more... Just... read again the rules and all info if you dont' remember sth, I've updated the "how to do" part with a new info about the files. lol I completely misunderstood this at first. I got confused with talking about the DVD and the different countries / continents, heh. But, just for future references, for Ayu to absolutely view this in Japan, she'll need a Region 2 NTSC DVD. (There is a difference between Region 2 NTSC and PAL DVD's.)

I would love to have helped with the doing cutting work of the videos, but you seem to have that covered walking.proud.
As many people will probably record in different formats, I might help with conversion, if needed. I could have a try at that intro video as well, like identity said. Or maybe background animation for the dvd menu using PVs? (this does not cover any graphics though, just video) I am also able to do subtitling though. So work can be divided, we'll see who does what. The no-time-limit is an advantage though. And yes, I will record an entry as well, so count me in on that :-) |

in some time when I'll get the first clips we can start talking together about it!! The subtitling will be a lot of work, so if there's a lot of people it will be better!! The design, we need design for: * cover of the box * different DVD covers (I still think that make 1 DVD by continent is better) * booklets for every DVD (with the names of all fans in every DVD) * little booklet with an introductory letter The menu thing, for now I see 3 people that can do the DVD menus and animation design, you think you need more people?? also Hatix can do a intro video for the DVD's (it's posible to put an animation before she can get to the menu?? I imagine the same animation for every DVD, and at end of it put the name of the continent) and alterna88 can do a cute ayu, great!! I'm thinking of puting a cute 3D ayu before, for example, the clips from germany fans, usa fans... like "here you have the message from your fans from germany!!" and maybe the animation could have something from every country, like the flag or sth!! I don't know if it's a lot of work for you alterna but there's no deadline so there's a lot of time!! I'm really excited with what you can do because it will give a huge professional feeling!! what do you think??? for advertising, everyone can help!! 3D ayu, maybe Ayupan ;p but it would be nice if it were a little different from Ayupan, something original :-)
I think it's best to have 1 person do 1 thing, so I'd like to take care of conversion of video formats. On how to get the video to me, I propose uploading your video to an online storage site like MediaFire or Megaupoad (like it's done for the media downloads here on the forum). Then I can download it, and do the conversion. Then I will make smaller low quality versions for the subtitlers, (which is easier to distribute, and less cpu heavy). Besides the low quality version, will be the high quality 480p dvd version, which I will probably burn on the dvd and mail it to walking.proud using regular mail, as it will be quite a lot. We'll have to do a little math, let's say you can get 1.5 hours on a single-layer dvd, that means if every clip has a maximum of 1.5 minutes, per dvd that means a minimum of 60 clips or more depending on the length of the clips. The fact that you want to make separate dvds for all continents makes it easier as well. Just my idea, about trying to organize it :-) |

I love the whole idea...I also think it would be awesome to have a multi-language Video! wow! I always dreamed about something like that! AYU will absolutely feel ~ALL our LOVE~! ^^ So I hope you count me in...for sending you my clip...and for helping with subs maybe?... but I have a prob... I'm from Venezuela (S. America), so I speak spanish perfectly well...but...I live in U.S.A (N. America)... 0///0 so...where should I say I'm from? lol.... anyways...I'm from both xD and I can help with any translation (if there are some people who speak spanish and wish to do their clip in spanish... ^^).... also...I'll take your idea to other forums and blogs! so, as you say, no one miss this chance... It's good to put your e-mail in the first post? people email to you the clips (not only the clips, also the english text for subtitles) and you do conversions and send them to the ones that will do the subtitles So you will record the DVD's?? the users who will make the DVD animations, introduccion, will send them to you, it's ok?? The designs for cover and booklets will be send to me. then you send me the DVD's and I'll do the material thing ^^ about subtitles.. The best would be japanese... but then we would need someone translating into Japanese.. and maybe it's a lot of work... so for now I think that everyone should talk in their language in the clip, and write what they say in english, and send to you the clip and teh translation for the subtitles... @abby2009: If everyone writes in english what they say in the clip, it will be less work, but of course if someone needs helps with translation, let's help them!! about your location... I thought making a clip of some song (Who...? maybe) showing our lips singing the song, it would be like 5 seconds for person and in the corner as the TV channel spots a flag of our country. Ending credits on every dvd, should have Who... playing in the background. I think it's THE favorite ending song of every fan, it never bores.
I also like evolution & alterna ;p (and evolution from Dome Tour? ^^ was just listening to a dome tour audio rip) A moment ago I was thinking about the intro or menu background, an idea I was thinking about was making a 3d animation of the spinning golden globe that opens up at the start of Dome Tour. And having the name of the continent coming out of it or something. Might be some work to do though. I'm just brain storming. |

It's slightly ambitious, but definitely not impossible. Biggest problem will be delivery of course, I think patience will be necessary. That does give everyone a chance to enter, since the book was done really fast and a lot of people didn't catch the announcement in time.

Ok, commenting all ideas:
- First, officially, all clips to HATIX (I have to put your e-mail on the first post -I haven't received any clip yet, so no problem ^^) - The dead line... well... I think that maybe the users doing animation, graphics, booklets, menu animation and se, maybe we should have a deadline.. like end of august, until august keep collecting clips and subtitling.. after all the menu, graphic thing is done, we can keep collecting clips and when we know we can give it to her, then finish it, but we will already have all the visually side done ^^ - love the credit thing with who... ^^!! About the DVD menu, everyone agree that inside every continent DVD she will be able to select countries?? Or have an all together file and put before a country starts a title like "BELGIUM" then clips, after that without going to any menu "CROATIA" and al clips?? - love the idea of the evolution glove!! The same introduction in all DVD and when it ends the glove and the name of the continent of the DVD!! And after that.. Going to a menu, or directly to the clips?? - About the bonus DVD... well... that is not the main focus of the project, so once we have finished the clips thing, we can think on doing the bonus DVD ^^ - Not only you can ask other fans not from AHS, YOU MUST!! ahahaha no, seriously, I would like to have as fans as possible not only AHS users!! Let’s go to an ayu forum from your country and advertise it! Talk about the success with A WORLD IS ONE BOOK, that ayu has our letters!!! this will attract fans!! - wow great alterna88!!! Thanks for your dedication T____T!!! - the delivery... yeah it's the problem.. We don't have deadline.. So when we'll find a moment to give her we will have it done... for now, as we don't know when, I'll have the box, but if there's a moment that someone can deliver it I'll send it to that person ^^ Okey so.. to sum up about the instructions: - 1min 30sec max. clip (you can -and it would be more interesting- to speak in your language, you can show your face or not, your town/city, your ayu collection... what you want!) - No matter what language are you using, you have to send the English text of what are you saying on the clip (even if you speak in English) together with the clip. You don't have to do the subtitles, there will be people doing it, that's why we need the text. - The clips have to be send to Hatix e-mail, he will convert them and resize... everything. He will send a small version of the clip to the ones making the subtitles, having the clips and the subtitles, we only need to have the introduction, credits and in menu animation. Then I'll record the DVD. At the same time the graphics for covers and booklet will also be done. Of course until we won't have all the clips and all the names it won't be recorded because our names/usernames will go on the booklet and credits in the DVD ^^ That’s all I think!! For now I think we have enough people in the animation section, Hatix are you ok alone?? EDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! UPDATE 29/01 - Hatix will recieve the clips, will resize them, change the format, and put them together by country in a unique file?? - Work to do: * The same introduction video for all the DVD, at the end of the intro there will be something (idea: DOME tour evolution glove opening adn showing the name of the continent) for the name of the continent. So only ONE persone have to do it... or we can accept clips and vote for the best??? * Animated menú for the DVD's (same for all or different depending on the continent??? only one person doing it or more??). In that menu Ayu will be able to select the countries. * 3D Ayu (alterna88 working on it) this will go before the clips of one country (f.ex: 3DAyu "Here you have video messages from Germany!!" and clips start. * Cover for the box and design for booklets and prologue-page (only one person doing it??) Also, Design for the DVD disc!! * Subtitles (people doing it, we have to agree on doign the same type of text, size, colour, position... for all clips) - for the booklets and cover there's no problem, I'll buy a booklet-type paper, and also for the DVD discs and print them! I'll record the DVD, but I hope people who knows about it will be able to put it all together (the intro before the menu, the 3D ayu before the clips of the respective country, etc..) 56 members want to participate!! ONLY ONE DAY!! so happy!! please tell your friends that you know that are ayufans, forums etc...- and send their clips with your!!! *-* |

Should our videos be in fullscreen or widescreen, or does it not matter? I don't have a videocamera, but I do have a digital camera that records, so I'll be using that, and the highest resolution that can be set to is 848x480 (Widescreen).
Also... Should we wait until Ayu goes somewhere, or should we send it to the official TA address? We have plenty of members here who are in TA who can send Ayu a message saying, "We're going to send you a DVD soon, with video messages from your international fans... Please do not send it back!" Or we can have somebody who's in London to talk to Ayu and / or Stan to talk about where to send the video to if we decide to send it to the TA headquarters? |
^ Thats exactly DVD resolution your camera records. So it should be perfect.(Assuming Ayu most likely has a fairly new, expensive TV, so it's widescreen)

^well yeah, I'm in TA so I would be able to send that e-mail! For now we still don't knwo when or where we will give it to Ayu. It's a long-term project, so for me the most important thing is to collect as meny clips as possible, cause we are a lot!! the more the better!! I've a list on the first post, 57 users in 1 day are gonna do this!! I want to give time to people to think about what they wanna do, and try and do it many times if necessary ^^!! When we will have a lot and we know we can give it to Ayu, then we will think how to do it ^^
About the video quality... of course if you can record it in a better quality it's better, but HAtix shoudl answer this question cause it's him who will convert and encode it! Not everyone can record the messages the same way... Say, it would be crazy if in some concert venue I, for example, would be waiting outside when she does rehearsals and ask to a staff member (or band members) to say her or to Stan, that a fan who met her in London wants to give her a big present from her international fans who also did A WORLD IS ONE book?? XDD You know... I can imagina mayself waiting outside yoyogi until late (i don't care, there's taxis right? XDD) when she goes out and ask Stan... XDDD |
