i actually LOVE hiadrime tantei eye. i'm waiting for episode 4 to be subbed right now. satomi ishihara's character (she plays yamada's teacher/school nurse) is so wacky, haha. :P yokoyama plays his part well along with CK, and the mystery and stuff is very interesting to me. i'm surprised to be enjoying it this much, lol. edit: i just noticed that the thread banner was also used in the previous thread. i didn't remember it until i looked! :dead2 oh well, it's still HOT. :D |

I frankly do not know much about Uchi & well whether he returns back or not , I'm netural but obviously fans who stuck with him from the beginning of NEWS/Eito til now , they want him back in both groups to make things complete in a way or 2 if so , he should go back to Eito as things in NEWS now are more settled |

....Uchi's only been in like 3 dramas (only 1 renzoku drama lead) since his return. & idk, going from 2 debut groups to Johnny's Junior status isn't exactly great, imho. but whatever, i'm happy for Uchi. he's working & continuing to move forward from his scandal. as much as i like both NEWS & K8 as 8, it won't ever be. :shrug

Subaru in rear-end collision in Shinjuku
After an inquiry at the police headquarters of the Totsuka division, it was discovered today that Shibutani Subaru (28), a member of the popular idol group Kanjani8 (Eito), was involved in a rear-end collision in metro Tokyo. Both Shibutani and the other involved party of the accident were not injured. According to the Totsuka police, Shibutani was driving on a road in Shinjuku around five thirty in the morning on the 17th; when he attempted to stop at a red light, he collided with the rear end of a car driven by a businessman in his 30s from Tokyo. It was a traffic accident resulting in property damage with a dented bumper. The Totsuka police states that there is a possibility Shibutani's car might have slipped on the road as it had been wet due to rain. Yasuda on a Date with Kuninaka Ryouko on a Golf Course
As it had been reported in a women's weekly magazine, published on April 27th that Kanjani8's Yasuda Shouta and actress Kuninaka Ryouko have been spotted on a date on a golf court in the Tokyo suburbs - showing the two in pictures as well. It was told, that at most, they are coming once a week. The time when the two of them met, was the dorama [ROMES], in which Yasuda had the main role and became friends with Kuninaka, who was the heroine of that piece. According to the office of both celebrities, they are [Just Friends]. Kuninaka Ryouko is currently staring in the dorama [Tumbling] together with Yamada Yuusuke and Daitou Shunsuke. For the rhythmic gymnastics, they are all taken well care of by Kuninaka as their coach, and with this number of good looking guys, this is certainly deserving some attention. Moreover, when it comes to Kanjani8, the performances of [Yokoyama YOU ga yacchaimasu ~3 2010 Spring] are still continuing as of now. Nishikido Ryo - "no" means get out of the cab now
In case you've been wondering what Nishikido Ryo's been up to, here's something for you. Well, he's been doing a lot of clubbing. Shocking, I know. And while doing said clubbing he's been picking up lots of women. And to top it all off he was a jerk to one of them. A friend of a young woman who was picked up by Ryo explained to Tantei File what happened: "Back in March, Nishikdo came on to my friend at a club in Roppongi. They got pretty close while they were there and afterwards took a taxi together. He invited her to his house but when she said no, he kicked her out of the cab right then and there. She said he was he worst." According to the informant, Ryo said to the girl, "You're coming to my place right?" but she turned down the offer. Ryo got pissed and was all you're gonna tell me no after I invited you? and made her get out. Oh, Ryo. He has such a way with women. While Ryo was shooting his movie he went to the club once a week, but now he goes about three times. Lately he's been spending more time outside the VIP section hugging and flirting with the ordinary girls (meaning non-showbiz) -- who later accompany him back to his place. Apparently the tally of girls he didn't kick out of a taxi is no small number. Okura has a new drama coming up :D
He has a new drama starting this July at 9 on Sundays on TBS, title undetermined yet. It'll star Higashiyama as a genius doctor, and the storylines will be about uncovering various medical mysteries.. Other stars include Tabe Mikako, Yoshizawa Yuu, Koike Eiko , and Oowada Shinya. I myself got stumped when I put 浮世踊りビト in Google Translate Yahoo Babelfish gave me an even weirder translation for that so I wouldn't be surprised if it's going to be a ballad . I already heard how Wonderful World !! sounds like not very exciting , it sounds like something like what they have done before but hopefully when a HQ version's out , I will change my mind on that |
i think it will be very...traditional Japanese. since when i was looking at the word, a lot of "Edo" came up, which is the old word for Tokyo. but idk. LOL.

i think it sounds a bit less upbeat compared to other songs, but it still sounds like a fun kanjani8 song to me regardless (i tried to hear as much as i can from that LQ preview :dead2) karen, you'll always love osaka rainy blues? :laugh why am i the only one who dosen't care for that song? lol. sukiyanen osaka is still my jam though :cool |
I like their older works as they were very heavily Enka influenced
I think it's this aspect which I feel makes the group unique . It's a pity they did not utilise this Enka aspect that much as compared to before I know they still use it in some album tracks of theirs but I do want them to release an Enka influenced single again for once .__. |
my favorite song is "Zukkoke Otokomichi". :laugh
i think they're doing fun/cracky songs as their main singles because it sells and its an image that works well for them, like how KAT-TUN's all "tough" or whatever, lol. but i enjoy their band tunes more like "Rolling Coaster". i think they were marketed as an enka-influenced group at first because i don't think they were meant to debut nationwide. Osaka is a very festival/traditional/arts part of Japan. their early music reflects that. and by early music, just "Kansha ni Eight". (& even that album wasn't even strictly traditionally Japanese too. there's a lot of pop influence.) because they have only a few enka-influenced songs if you look at it...pretty much just Naniwa Iroha Bushi, Sakura Enka (Oh!ENKA), Mugendai, etc. to name a few. |

it's okay! :P i think this is kanjani's first drama theme song, too. i'm happy for them! someone can correct me if i'm wrong, though :yes but i think this song won't be upbeat if it's for a medical drama. :shrug
but those scans are adorable! hina was dressed like that in the PV, too. i dunno if i'm right, but maybe his hippie look is supposed to symbolize him looking for love? like he's so sad and alone that he's singing songs with that guitar and stuff. i only think this cause in the PV, that girl rejected the whole group, and then they showed hina at the end dressed like that and he was playing his guitar. :dead i dunno, my imagination is a just a bit...out there? lol. btw, they already have 3 singles (i'm counting those ballad songs as one full single) so a new album could really be out by next year, right? it'd be two years since PUZZLE anyway. time goes too fast... |

I could be wrong though & my memory is failing me big time too :tired I'm not sure if a new album will follow next year . I hope it will happen & I prefer the 3 GIFT singles to stay exclusive in their own right if you know what I mean the 3 GIFT singles were released together day by day during last week on Christmas & they were all limited releases & I frankly don't want to see them appear on their next album |
oh right, i forgot they were limited! :headache so it's just 3 regular singles, then. i guess we can still expect an album in the future, though? i think it'll happen eventually.

to me I feel LIFE ~Me no mae no mukou e~ is like Rolling Coaster , it's almost in the same vein it's not as hard rock as what I thought as it might be if you compare that against KAT-TUN's material LIFE ~Me no mae no mukou e~ is not really catchy on 1st listen . I have to listen to it a few more times before I can make anymore judgement/comments |

so it has a more serious tone attached unlike their previous A-sides I'm quite sure this means Jackhammer will be crazy , sound wise xD |
