History of the A logo

i can't remember exactly which thread it was, but I remember some people being confused on how the A Logo was made using the pi symbol. I will demonstrate how this is done; this symbol makes 3 of her most known logos.

The H single Logo:

The A (monochrome) single Logo:

The standard A Logo:

Well it wasn't Ayu who designed it so, probably not. :P

This is really cool though.

lanfix 27th February 2010 12:39 AM

Nice info! Thanks for sharing this xD

emi♡ 27th February 2010 12:40 AM

did they really design it that way?

AyuWorld 27th February 2010 12:52 AM

wow know what,i always thaught that they inspired the A logo by the japanese shrine,i forgot what they call it but the red arch-like thing XD instead of pi *O*

mobius 27th February 2010 12:54 AM

^ You mean the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine? It does looks like it a little.

This is Intresting.....

All this time I thought it was just an letter A in design or something.

Thanks for the info.

ayumasing 27th February 2010 01:46 AM

I heard that the A logo was just from her first and last initial, and someone from a company she used to work with (or some designer company, anyways) came up with it. Though now that you mention pi...he he. This was very interesting!
But what about her other symbols, like the (Miss)Understood one or "M"? Just because, or a deeper meaning then?

I doubt that. But it does bear quite a resemblance to pi.

truehappiness 27th February 2010 02:57 AM

The first one was very similar looking to pi, but then again they used a jillion other Greek alphabet in the A single design so, I think that was intentional...

a member posted the website of the logo makes
I can't remember which thread it was.

The A for monochrome and the H are kinda believable well IMO

AyuWorld 27th February 2010 04:37 AM

Andali 27th February 2010 05:03 AM

yoshino 27th February 2010 04:37 PM

wow.. interesting!! Thanks for sharing!

waterballoon 27th February 2010 04:39 PM

Interesting theory here!

AngelSenshi 27th February 2010 10:00 PM

That's really really cool! Thanks for pointing all that out! I never realized just how much was taken from the pi symbol.

kendelle 28th February 2010 12:31 PM

I hadn't heard of this before! Thanks for sharing it as it's a pretty interesting theory.

Although...now when I next listen to H I think I'll have to eat some pie or something....so much for my diet :P

teppei_chan92 28th February 2010 12:43 PM

OMG you're not the only one!! I thought it was based on the Torii! :laugh

Mirrorcle World ~longing future~ 2nd March 2010 08:11 AM

wow, is that true

Delirium-Zer0 3rd March 2010 02:04 AM

Given that circles, and things going in circles, were the theme of the A single (which was the first appearance of ANY A logo, and the logo that most resembles pi), I'm actually fairly certain that this is a really accurate theory.

himawariii6 23rd August 2017 10:28 PM

This was interesting to read.
Never thought her logo came from the pi.
