April 14th (Wed) NEW ALBUM [Rock'n'Roll Circus] Release!

Release date confirmed for 11th official album!
Including big hit double-A-side singles [Sunrise/Sunset~LOVE is ALL~] [You were.../BALLAD], and recordings done in London for the first time, the new album features 10 new tracks (planned).
The DVD will feature more than half the number of songs in the album, with 8 music clips! Moreover, all making-of clips will be included. Digests for the DVD [ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2009 A ~NEXT LEVEL~], which will be released on the same day, will be included as a bonus as well!

Spanning about 7 months in 2009, from April to October, with 35 shows in 12 cities around the country, produced by 300,000 staff, the much anticipated DVD for the Arena Tour Live is here! The entire show done on the very last day at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo has been recorded!
With songs from the [NEXT LEVEL] album, mixed with popular songs from the past and present, and 10 costume changes, an entertaining and colourful show never before seen.
All emcee sessions, bigscreen movies, and videos of special moments will be included (planned)!!

Apparently with 10 new tracks including the CM songs but hopefully no more than 2 are interludes >.<...

Well, its by far her most impersonal (and probably most unoriginal) title to date. I'm surprised that after announcing the tour name she actually did name the album the exact same thing; very anti-climatic. But I actually prefer this just slightly to it being called only "Circus" though. At least this gives it some attitude. Still bad though.

Looks like it will also be another 14 track album.

I'm glad that it is only having 2 main editions this time though.

that song/PV should be there, but it's not listed there cos' it's not "officially announced"? the other two PV's songs are tied with CM that are aired.

No, there's definitely 4 new PVs.

Only Microphone and Don't look back have been listed so far since they are already "officially announced" through the Honda Spark & Panasonic CMs.

Wow. I never thought I'd have to deal with the different versions. I just like the best cover (which usually is the CD+DVD and even if not, I have to get that version). Last year after getting the 2CD+DVD version of NEXT LEVEL, I did order the USB Edition.

Now I really do want that photobook. I want the "BOXSET" because it'll probably be packaged pretty swiftly. Ugh.

EDIT: Actually I think the photobook comes with the "BOXSET" - it says "together with the CD+DVD listed below..." - it'll just be bundled nicely with the AT09 DVDs.

P.S. I'm dying for the cover-art. I really wanna design a new set and wallpaper!

I don't really love the title of the album, but I guess we couldn't be that surprised after hearing the tour's name.
Can't wait for full tracklist!!

I don't really mind the title but I think that it's disappointing that there's only 14 tracks, and if that "March to April release date move" rumour is true then it's especially dissapointing. Still, love the fact that there's lots of PVs this time 'round! :D

well, 14 tracks total. 10 new songs (4 of which are PVs). +4 single PVs. that leaves 6 songs without a PV. i'm guessing 3 full and 3 interludes.

i agree!!!!! i had to promise to myself that i wouldn't listen to any previews/leaks this this time around as well!! i usually do every other time but i want this album to be completely fresh and surprising. i want it to knock me off my feet with excitement, so i'll wait until i receive my copy to listen ^^

As for the first press goodies confusion, the box set is definitely a limited item by itself, so that will confirm include the photobook. As for the CD+DVD which is sold individually, the first press of those will contain the photobook too. So if you can just get your hands on the boxset, you'll get everything there is on offer (I think). :)

I honestly don't give a hoot about what the heck it says there since for NEXT LEVEL they said that it'd have 13 tracks when it came out.

Just don't set yourself up for too much excitement. That's what I've done a few times - try to not listen to any leaks or news to make it "fresh" but it doesn't work as much as you'd expect. Lol. It's fresh for the first listens but don't put too much hope. I did with NEXT LEVEL. Lol.

It is 14 tracks total. But S/S, You Were/Ballad are not "new" tracks. So that leaves 10 tracks and based on past experience she will have at least 3 interludes. Leaving 6 or 7 actual new songs. She could always for once not do the interludes, but I don't picture that happening.

I was just hoping that she would go back to her pre-Secret days with this album and have some more tracks again. It seemed to be leaning in that direction with the large amount of PVs and extra amount of time spent on the album, but I guess not. If the quality is really high though, then it it is fine.

Please remember that a month before Secret was to come out [10/29ish] the album was still going to be a mini album. They got all of the new tracks done by the deadline.

Judging by the amount of recording that ayu has done I'm willing to bet that we will probably get at the most 2 interludes (maybe just 1 like Duty). Its still 10 new tracks including Microphone, Sexy little things, Don't Look Back and the unknown PV (that I personally think is Rock'n'Roll Circus). So that's 5/6 tracks we still don't know about. I'm pretty happy :D

I'm gonna be on SPACE SHOWER's and M-ON's website everyday checking to seen when the PVs will air lol

I really hope there are more than 6 new tracks :( But well, with how things usually go, I guess that hoping for 6-8 new tracks is reasonable, and probably what is going to happen.

I have a lot of hope for this album...which good or bad, whatever, it's there, since she seems to be shaking things up a bit and the PVs look awesome.

It'll be interesting to see what direction she takes this whole Rock circus thing in, and to see what she got out of NEXT LEVEL and how she's gonna use it.

and from the boxset + the free gifts hints (mug and teabag?), i'm guessing the new cover to be British style enough~
