April 14th (Wed) LIVE DVD [ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2009 ～NEXT LEVEL～] Release!

Spanning about 7 months in 2009, from April to October, with 35 shows in 12 cities around the country, produced by 300,000 staff, the much anticipated DVD for the Arena Tour Live is here! The entire show done on the very last day at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo has been recorded!
With songs from the [NEXT LEVEL] album, mixed with popular songs from the past and present, and 10 costume changes, an entertaining and colourful show never before seen.
All emcee sessions, bigscreen movies, and videos of special moments will be included (planned)!!

so here's my question...the special box set, does it include all the special screens and emcees, etc or is that only available if you purchase AT09 seperately?

i noticed on yesasia my order for the special box says album + 4 DVD. so i'm assuming its the normal album DVD and 3 for the tour?

The CD+DVD edition in the box is the same as the first press CD+DVD with the photobook.

Mug cup should look something like this, but maybe... less cute and more boring and less round, haha. More like a regular mug, I suppose.

I don't know.. but teh fact taht this DVD is going to be sold at the same time as the album.. don't you think it will sell less than the previous tour?? hmmm

and I don't know how they will count it... the tour DVD that is sold in the box will be counted as copies for the DVD ranking??

They will most likely count as an album AND a live DVD since it's like a bundle as opposed to a forced set like BoCDL...

There are only supposed to be 25,000 of those, so... who knows, haha. 50,000 unaccounted copies of Ayu merchandise would be made of FAIL.

I think they should sell the DVD one week after the actual album. Those who can't wait can buy the Limited box set instead..(then piracy issues may come into pla though :S lol)

yeah... I hope it will help DVD sales ^^ I hope there were more than 25K of boxes... japanese hardcore can buy 50K XD and 50K mean 50K of counting DVD, plus people that get it without the box... can help a lot I think ^^

I'm wondering if I'll enjoy the concert more when I see the DVD version cause the TV version was boring. Probably not, but I guess the angles could make a difference.

Took a few viewings to fully appreciate the concert for me. I only watched it about once when it came out...

And then recently I've had this hankering to watch it and I've realized how awesome the concert is, zomggoamsfassd.

This isn't like A BEST 2 though. I wonder if they can count it as both an album and a live DVD since after all.. that's what's inside it. They better have the same catalog #s as the originals, haha.

The box set is basically the CD+DVD+PB and AT09 put into one box. Kind of like they bundled them together but with some extras... (i.e stuck them together in a box and called it a bundle, haha)

they should have a CD+DVD+AT2009 DVD+CDL 0910 FC DVD!

yes.i checked on the site.the release date is 16th april.but i don't know if the information is accurate or not because avex taiwan haven't announce it yet.i emailed to avex taiwan and they ask me to refer to their official site =.="

Ah, I see. So its not confirmed yet. I really hope they do come out with an OS Version. Either TW or HK press. But definitely keep us posted when they'll release it.

of course there will be OS press but we woldn't know when.haha.i'll update here once the date is confirmed :D

I actually kind of hope that the cover will feature the encore with her white shirt.

since there will be 3 DVD, we'll have a 2DVD-cases in a clear slipcase, like AT2005, 2006 and 2008. And the covers of the 2nd DVD-cases have a picture taken from the encore. So i think it'll be the same with the AT09 =)

Which outfit do you guys think will be the DVD cover?

AT09 seems to either be the Rule outfit or the Sparkle outfit. NEXT LEVEL's fedora-y thing is even a possibility.

Hope to god there isn't a collage though.

AT08 had the Mirrorcle World outfit and AT07 had the 1 LOVE one. AT06 even had the B&D outfit. The NEXT LEVEL finale outfit wasn't flashy enough though, so... it could be any of them!

That was the finale outfit, however she doesn't always have that on in the covers of her DVDs...

DT01 - evolution opening outfit
AT02 - Mid-concert F&E performance outfit
ST02 - on crane/cherry picker in Union Jack dress(?)
AT05 - collage of all outfits
AT06 - B&D finale outfit
AT07 - 1 LOVE outfit from near beginning of concert
AT08 - Mirrorcle World finale outfit
AT09 - ???

I hope it's the NEXT LEVEL outfit.. or the rollin' one.. or the identity one.. I don't know why but I do have a feeling the cover will be a collage this time :/ It would be cool if she started doing photo shoots for the covers.

i rather they use screencaps.at least it has a 'concert' feel than have a photoshooting just for the cover which is more to 'album' feel.

To be honest, since the very beginning she has used either photos from the concert itself, or photos from the concert goods to make her covers. I doubt she's going to do anything differently, haha. It'd be interesting if she did, but IMO, that's not very "Ayu" somehow...

What would be the tour good that she pulls the graphic from though? AT03-04 at least had her face on some of the goods [posters/booklets?] so they took that image and made it the DVD cover.

Unless she decides to not have the case be like AT05/AT06/AT08, we should expect a cover with her on it, haha. AT07 had that black slipcase, but Ayu was still on the cover underneath it. Since we have a clear slipcase and 3 DVDs like we usually do, we should assume that there will be "2 DVD covers" as usual.

^I think we can expect the 2nd of the DVD cover to be from the encore like usual as well.

Yeah, I'm hoping the cover outfit is the cheerleader too. But, it might be kinda cheesy though.

yeah i think AT03-04 cover is so interesting, as well as her dvd cover for her 2000 tour...she looks so pretty on it...one of my fav covers of her...

but we will see, what the cover will looks like...

The Limited Box has the CD+DVD album and its first press, and AT 2009 in its slipcase, both in a special box comes with a mug cup and tea.

I've been thinking, is it possible that Ayu is doing a photoshoot for the cover, instead of just a collage of concert outfits like usual? Of course it's possible that the poster is merely a collage of outfits too, I guess, but when was the last time she made a poster as a concert DVD FP? Haha, wishful thinking? T__T

A collage is not usual, I believe. AT05 and CDL05-06 were the only collage'd covers, with all others either being from concert footage or from a tour goods photoshoot. (AT03-04, concert tour 2000 were from a tour goods shoot)
