I really really love this PV,
It's so random, and at sometimes so so scary.
It seems random without much meaning,
But I think once we start to look at it after initial shock,
We will find really deep meanings.

And I really love that Sexy Little Things Ayu is controlling the PV,
It feels like everything is connected in this Album, it's really polished.
I am so so happy she didn't rush like NEXT LEVEL.

And oh my gosh, pretty much everything about this PV is amazing~!! The outfits, the effects, the general concept, and, OF COURSE, the song!!!! :heart After watching the PV, I've also gone from just loving Microphone to 'OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE I LOOOOOOOOOVVE IT!!!!', hah. I don't think I have to worry anymore about getting sick of it quickly. The parts that I didn't love, I now do. :yes

Definitely one of my favourite Ayu PVs, ever.

besides the other pv references, that I found really nice, I found it only "ok"

i loved the scenes with ayu in it. the concept was awesome, song was awesome, loved the references to the other pvs. but the scenes with the other people in it was just..wtf? why?

So Microphone is the continuation of Sexy little things! :o
During watching this I couldn't get the deal with these random persons, but I was starting to undertand story in this PV... And because of it I can say: GOOD JOB, AYU. VERY WELL DONE. (ofc I have to watch it several times to get all details)
Editing effect (like in cellphone with touch screen) is... just amazing.
I'm still laughing at her endless walk though xD

I'm so happy the Pv is finally out! There are parts that I LOVE and parts that i don't like so much...
I love that SLT Ayu is controlling the video!!! I just don't know how i feel about the "Iphone effect" that used, its not that i don't like it, I'm just iffy on it

I don't like the megaphone girl scene at all!! It's like she was really TRYING to be weird and it just came off awkward to watch. but that's just one scene of an amazing pv so I'm not gonna be like "omg i hate this!" just because of that :P

Whaa I'm left confused with the need to rewatch. XD I kinda liked it though. I wished there was more storyline too but I think STL is going to be a continuation of this. We're sure gonna have fun interpreting this :laugh I loved the part where she got into a fight with the brother/sister and the elevator guy. :heart

Great video! I just wish there was more of Ayu to be honest, but I adored the main parts of her in the beautiful dress in the cathedral, really beautiful.
I've actually been to to where it was filmed and it's fantastic seeing Ayu in there!

wow. That video had me going "what is gong on? I don't get it" till the veeeeery end when ayu herself holds the video in her iphone looking thing for the next pv. it all took place on a video screen. Still don't really get it though.

Does microphone sound less rockish to anyone else now? when I heard the lower quality version, it sounded so much more visual kei rock, and now hearing it in high quality, it sounds so much more pop. Still like it though.

This is my interpretation (I'm just saying what I got out of the PV, I don't know what's right or wrong):

The lyrics seem to speak a lot about ambivalence and emotional conflict. She's speaking of someone she loves, yet can't stand sometimes. Even the song is a contrast between two different emotions since it goes back and forth between rock and ballad-y.

Therefore we get conflicting views of similar people. The two girls are skipping one moment, next they're not. The woman in the navy (?) uniform is acting all responsible one moment, then ripping her uniform off the next. Even that creepy mime guy, if you looked at his mouth, one side was smiling and one was frowning. All are showing ambivalent feelings.

This is just what I got out of it though :).

Amazing.

This PV is everything that MW PV aspired to be but failed to be. I watched this after I read the lyrics, and I thought the PV corresponded really well to the lyrics. (not to say that the pvs are copies of each other. They both just had this really abstracted feel and in a foreign place)

Also my art history nerd loved the cathedral painting backdrop.

But IMO the best part of the PV is that I feel like it was polished artistically. It was well-executed, and well-edited.

And totally random, and pretty much my only complaint, but as epic as the dress is, and as much as it fits the PV, that was way too much ruffles for someone as tiny as Ayu. There were several shots where Ayu looked like she was getting swallowed by the attack of the ruffles. (however, it worked with the PV so that's all good)

Edit: I agree with Aozora in the ambivalence interpretation.

It is not a McQueen dress. The red dress at the end = McQueen.

Black ruffle dress was by Ayu's personal costume artist, Akira Noda. He does all of her custom Swarovsky outfits and tour clothes.

The janitor guy in the pv reminded me of the walking proud pv, and the randomness of the people reminded me of parts of alterna.

Oops. I don't know why I switched the dresses and designers in my head.

Oh my God, I love it so much!!! Its so... different, so amazing! I remember when i first heard the title "Microphone" and I was like "WTF!? That's going to be a boring slow song" but it wasn't! Its amazing! Really well done.

Extra fact: I really love how there's that guy who holds a mop and goes down the stairs... but he doesn't mop a single thing... hahaha

Great PV and great song. at one moment I thought she's gonna tripped in the black dress. I love the ending. This should be the continuation of SLT PV, coz she slammed the guitar in the end of SLT PV. we have to watch SLT to know

Weirdest PV imo still goes to ourselves, since it has anti-fans basically capturing her and smashing sledgehammers into her image/a car that she's in.

This PV is probably one of her most "nonsensical" in a way, but it makes more sense the more you think about it.

Hmm this is interesting, I can't wait to see Sexy Little Things the two PV seems to be connected somehow you can see at the beginning and the end of the video. After seeing this preview it looks like her smashing the guitar was part of the SLT PV so...

i just noticed a continuity mistake. Throughout the video, the hand that uses the screen like an iphone touch screen, is just a bare hand, but at the end when they zoom away from it. showing it was ayu all along, she has some black gothic gauntlet thing on her hand which goes all the way up to and a little past the knuckles. Idk, just something random I noticed. :/

That was so random. It makes the rest of her album sound awesome, but I can't say I'm too fond of the PV, it's just to Western and random, the creepy people didn't do it for me but I loved Ayu's outfit

I loved the PV. Very artistically executed like the You Were... PV. These are the type of Ayu PVs I have missed.

I like the interpretation already posted. Another thing to add is that all the "memories" stored in the phone are being ripped up and thrown away by the cathedral ayu. Like she wants to forget them, because they make her so angry.

I hope it makes more sense when we get the SLT PV.

I like how Ayu made this video connect with Sexy little things. Anyway, I don't like the video that much. Ayu is featured for like, 1 minute, and when she is up, it's her walking and doing the lip thing. It was all about the cool looking British people XD Really diggin' the organ's in the song though.

So it's connected with Sexy Little Things? Nice :) no wonder she wears the same outfit in SLT. I can't wait to see the PV, and I think this one is very very nice, I love Ayu's weird PV.
