[Tabloid] BIG STARS, BAD REPS 2

It's from the stupid, the elctric new paper.

Quote:

HONG Kong fans may adore Ayumi Hamasaki, but not two of the country's top hotels.

Both have blacklisted the 29-year-old J-pop queen after two unpleasant experiences, said Japan's Flash magazine.

When she was in Hong Kong in 2002 to shoot a pictorial book, Ayumi apparently organised wild parties in her hotel suite.

She even broke a glass panel inside the room and refused to pay - until her record label had to step in and apologise.

More recently in December, when she was in Hong Kong for the premiere of the Takeshi Kaneshiro film Confession Of Pain, she stayed in another hotel and created more ruckus with more parties in her suite. It apparently earned her another blacklist.

That's not all. Ayumi, who is arguably Japan's top-earning songbird, is also known to be an extravagant diva who can pay for a spanking new five-storey bungalow worth one billion yen ($12.7m) in cold hard cash.

When in Singapore to attend the MTV Asia Awards in 2002, she splurged on a $1,000 lobster and crab feast at Newton Circus for her entourage of 20.

Not only does she travel with 10 bodyguards, but she once flew her five pet dogs with her to Korea for a job, together with their own entourage of 12 pet groomers.

Also, she reportedly employs five personal masseurs to take charge of different parts of her aching body.

And Ayumi can turn nasty at times.

While shooting in New York last year, she reportedly fell out with a hair stylist and insisted on this person leaving her entourage.

As all flights were full, she herself forked out more than 10 million yen ($127,000) to charter a plane to fly the stylist back to Japan.

What else is a star as big as her gonna do with all that money? :laugh

Kidding, of course.

I really don't know what to say. ... Wow. (?)

If there were a whole bunch of these articles always coming up in non-tabloid Japanese press, I'd believe it most likely.

Beyond the Sea 2nd March 2007 02:09 AM

I don't see whats not believable with this article. Alot of celebrities act over the top.

truehappiness 2nd March 2007 02:10 AM

The breaking the window thing I think might be a rumor, but the rest is highly understandable..

She did spend like 300k++++USD in like, 3 hours.. LOL

andre2907 2nd March 2007 02:12 AM

I believe in Japanese tabloids. With all the VERY VERY strict privacy laws in there and the power and monopoly of agencies, magazines won't publish any type of ***** because it may be soooo expensive. BUBKA, for example, which was considered one of the most reliable gossip mags, was sued by lots of agencies and now is in big trouble because of the privacy laws...

Is there a link?

The Electric New Paper is Singapore.

I found the article funny.

The website sucks too, they have Ayu's picture in Chow Yun Fat's article and Chow in Ayu's article.

I really would like to see this room-trashing rumor in articles that don't come off as exaggerated. It could have all happened, that's believable, but it's so one-sided, it seems it's been twisted into a vicious little article just to be cruel. :/

Chandrachan 2nd March 2007 02:17 AM

wow...well Ayu does have alot of money...to believe or not to believe?

Smart Computer 2nd March 2007 02:20 AM

I don't think this article is real anyway, it just a rumored in my opinion... I don't believe ayu doning this such a thing!

Ayumiko 2nd March 2007 03:05 AM

Singapore newspapers....first it was std rumors and now this...-__________-

AyuGAME 2nd March 2007 03:15 AM

yeah...another gossip

devilayu 2nd March 2007 03:55 AM

I wouldn't be surprised, as she is THE diva and pop queen in Japan. Articles like this have circulated for years and I wouldn't be surprised. People with a lot of money usually have the ego to match. Parts of the article ring as true: doggie pampering, large entourage and big feasts, masseurs. Also, being blacklisted from a hotel is not uncommon in the entertainment world.

alternarist 2nd March 2007 04:44 AM

omg!! a disgrace to singaporeans. i dont think this is true. i feel that they were a little bit exaggerating. i mean.. we have seen ayu behave normally in special discs before. she is definitely not like what is described..

Bruised.Sapphire 2nd March 2007 04:47 AM

Sounds just like Ayu. Wild parties, giants feasts, and her little doggies. She's such a diva. But I guess you can't help it when you've got that much money.

ayuayu 2nd March 2007 05:36 AM

this article starts out about her hotel blacklisting which who knows is true and then talks about how much money she has and how she chooses to spend it?! like... who cares. so she has money for a bungalow and a crab feast... does that make her a bad person? cause the way they say it is as if it's a bad thing. some rich ppl buy their own island and that doesn't make them a bad person. and ANYONE can be nasty at times. who knows what the hairstylist did anyways. it couldve been really bad... or not.

if i was rich i'd buy myself a pool full of ice cream ;p OH YEAH!

oro77 2nd March 2007 05:40 AM

Ayu got money, she should enjoy, especially she does not have a lot of free time...

destiny_ayu 2nd March 2007 05:44 AM

That lobster thing sounds true to me.
Ayumi ate in "Newton Circus Food Court".
I don't know whether it's true or not, but I heard from my Singapore friends who eat there regularly that the hawkers like to charge the tourists much more than regular singaporeans would be charge. Well if you're a tourist in a new place, you wouldn't have care much of the price if it was a pretty popular place in Singapore. Furthermore, with Ayumi's wealth, would she even care much about how much it cost? :P

jasjasss 2nd March 2007 05:54 AM

LoL
this article is so lame that no one trust !
