Katy Perry anyone?
Here's the I kissed a girl video if anyone hasn't seen it yet.
So I haven't really been into the Western music industry for awhile now (with a few exceptions), but then I heard 'I kissed a girl' by Katy Perry, and I must say that it's such a catchy song! Her album 'One of the Boys' is also really good. Her lyrics can be so hilarious sometimes xD! So does anyone else like her??? |

For some reason I really can't get myself to like her. A friend of mine bought me her CD but I've barely listened to it more than once because her songs tend to personify a lot of things that I dislike about certain artists. I Kissed A Girl has never been a song I've loved, but it has grown on me slightly after hearing if for possibly the 200th time. Ur So Gay was much better and is sadly very under appreciated. The rest of her album is just dull and moronic though. Her lyrics don't strike me as intelligent, more like someone trying to be clever but sounding foolish.

The album is pretty decent, better than I thought it would be! Though I think they've over played 'I kissed a girl" from what I can tell. I don't like the video, it could have been better. Some parts just look awkward to me.

I enjoy Katy Perry's music a lot, which is unusual for me since I don't really listen to anything other than asian music. I love I Kissed a Girl to death. I play and play it on repeat for hours sometimes. I also adore the video for Ur So Gay too~

I like her too. I think it's funny how people acuse her of being homophobic with her lyrics to "Ur So Gay" even saying that she is using it negatively but it's funny cause they must not be listening. She's not using Gay as a negative term. LOL It is a bit cliche but not negative. LOL

I like her music but most of the songs that I enjoy did not make the album cut. One of the Boys is kinda ho-hum compared to her other demos.
I liked "I Kissed A Girl" a lot more once I heard some of the remixes. |
"Ur so gay" is pretty funny, the lyrics are quite genius
